Went very well, but one of the contractors hit a little too hard with hammer and must have missed the nail and came through our ceiling interior so we had to have some repair work done. Keep in mind we do not have an attic so I did expect some punch marks on ceiling and owner came through after work was done and noted this and made arrangements with us to have it corrected. Overall we were very satisfied with the way this job was done and they way he handled the ceiling issue. Would highly recommend for future.

Project went well. New roof looks good. Crew was very professional, well-organized, and hard-working. A mix-up with directions caused an arrival delay on the first day, but arrival was on-time the second day. Sales rep and office staff were professional and easy to work with. Debris was picked up immediately, so we didn't need to have a dumpster sitting in the driveway after the roof was installed.
Description of Work: Removed old roof and installed new one.
That was positive and he is wonderful. They are honest and I like the people; the owner and the workers.

These guys were terrible. They were completely unorganized back at the office in terms of getting paperwork to us and most importantly coordinating with us on when the work was to be done. We wanted a garage roof replaced and it was tenant occupied. We specifically told them they had to tell us when they would be starting the work so we could have tenant move his belongings. We called and called for weeks as it was supposed to be done but wasn't and then they just started the job one day without notifying us. Dirt and debris was EVERYWHERE in the garage and exactly what we wanted to avoid. They said they called and left message but DID NOT! The person answering the phone and addressing our concern was rude. To top it off no more than a few months later, the roof that they completely replaced leaked...they claim they fixed it but again, it took several calls to get them to answer us or come out. I would never use this company again - all i can hope is that they honor their warranty...what a mess. Sorry it took me almost a year to write this review. Wasnt until I went out to Angies today for something else that I was prompted to review and I definitely wanted others to know!

Mrs. [Member name], I'm not sure what would cause you to post a review a year later however we do have documented every call made to your husband. I apologize if you didn't get your messages as we felt frustrated as well trying to reach you. We did completely clean everything which was not mentioned in your review to everyone's satisfaction. Also as you mentioned the leak, we did come right out and fix it. Since we haven't hear from you in a year I would assume there have been no further leaks. We do warranty our work and stand by our commitment. Should a problem arise we will be prompt in service. Our men were there promptly and completed the work quickly without incident. Our reviews and awards are a clear indication of how we strive for customer service and great workmanship. Any job can have a bump in the road it doesn't make the company a bad or incompetent company it just makes them human. With that being said we work hard to rectify any issues that may arise promptly. We thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you and hope to work with you in the future.

Very prompt. Several feet of siding had been damaged by wind. They were located in a location that was not particularly visible and the repairman suggested that it would be fine to repair with the same siding instead of purchasing new. He sealed the crack so that it was waterproof and since it was not visible, all is well without new siding. I appreciated that he didn't try to sell me new siding unlike another company I got a $700. estimate from.

Very hard sell and high price. Sales person didn't get the message and continued with the "package" approach of presentation even when we voiced the need to get to the bottom line. Very uncomfortable experience, especially the part where "If my price is too high, maybe I can call the owner and get you a discount". Thought I was buying a used car...

[Member name removed], First I want to thank you for allowing Carranza to give you an estimate. I am sorry you were uncomfortable with the estimating process. Excellent overall - very happy and have recommended them to others. Only complaint is that they left some nails in gravel driveway. It seemed like a they just weren't being careful at the end of a couple long days. Have had a couple flats and had to buy 2 new tires - definitely an added expense. Would not be a problem in a paved driveway as you'd see them right away!

Although it took a while for the flooring to arrive and the work to get started, once it began it was completed in two weeks which is the low side of the two to three week estimate we were given. The work was well done and when we were not happy with the way one of the painted walls turned out they promptly returned to fix it. Importantly they were willing and able to work within the restrictions of our condo building which are difficult. They were the only contractor of three or four we interviewed who was willing to work in the building. Our remodeled room looks GREAT! We were very satisfied with the service.
Description of Work: Remodeled principal room of our high rise condo unit. This included moving a wall and changing power locations, painting and installing a hardwood floor in the entry, principal room and hallway.

At first things went super. On site estimates and clear understanding of the work. The workers did a great job on the flat roofs, even making minor fixes where the old house trim was damaged. The problem is that they never finished. 1/2 our garage roof is shingles, the other 1/2 is flat. Where the flat roof meets the shingles they replaced our existing gray shingles with completely un-matching brown. My wife flipped and said that a 1/2 brown garage roof and 1/2 gray would not do. Since they did not have gray shingles, they packed up, left, and never came back. Even though I called and even met Minor (owner) at a trade show nothing has happened for almost a year. Our family is going to have a roofing party and finish the garage with gray shingles. The flat rubber roof was the tricky stuff, which they did a good job of.

[member name removed], I am very surprised to see this review from you which is completely unfair. You and I spoke about the fact that Tamko did not make your shingle any longer. You said to just match it the best you can. We did do that. When we spoke you said you didn't like it. I dropped off a new sample board for you to chose a color that you would like better and you never called me to give me the new color. I called you at least 4 times with no return calls. In fact you still have the sample board. I did try and resolve this with you. We stand by our work and commitment to our customers. I will be calling today again to resolve this. Thank you

The siding installation had to wait until the windows arrived and were installed. The next day the siding installers came. Their work was good except for sloppy caulking. They left a cart on the street over the weekend and did not clean up the yard (Need additional training and supervision).
Description of Work: I contracted with Carranza to replace siding on whole house, wrap with Tyvek, and replace gutters and downspouts after a windstorm in March tore off a large area of siding. Already had contracted with them to replace windows. The day after the storm they nailed Tyvek to the bare walls and trimmed the hanging pieces of siding.

The individual that came out took several attempts to understand that the electric was already there and all they had to do was install the fan on the roof. He was unable to provide me the size of the unit, manufacture, and warranty, stating he would ask his supervisor and email me an estimate the following day. I never heard back from him. Several days later, I received a voice mail from the owner of the company, but I had already hired someone to perform the service.

The outside work was primarily done in available slots at the last minute. While I appreciate the attempt to get the work done sooner, requests to call beforehand were lost so people simply showed up in my back yard. The inside work was also scheduled at the last minute and twice so far was cancelled on the day of due to a contractor being out sick. My wife works from the home, so repeated scheduling has a strong impact on her ability to work. Additionally, there was a 2-3 week period where I just didn't hear from the company for scheduling the inside work. In general, it seems that information gets lost between the person doing the work, his boss, and the front office. I get different answers depending on who I ask certain questions. The price was better than other estimates and the work so far seems to be good. The company was also quick to try additional fixes for no additional charge when the original work didn't fix the leak and only added to the cost when it was determined that an entirely different area of the house needed work. Update 7/14/14: I was informed early on by the coordinating manager (I think his name was Rob) that he was attempting to fit our small project in between other larger already scheduled projects. This meant that I got calls the night before or morning of requesting to do work. With a dog and wife working from home, these couldn't always be facilitated. I do not recall cancelling a work day after agreeing to it. I knew going in that the scheduling would be a bit touchy since he was forthright in telling me he was attempting to squeeze me in just as I assumed he understood that last minute requests can't always be worked out. The response doesn't touch on the more important point of communication. My questions were answered differently by different people and more importantly a request for notification before working in our back yard was lost somewhere in the chain, leading to a significant fright when my wife saw the dog run outside to bark at a stranger.
Description of Work: I called to resolve two leaks for both inside and outside work. In the process, it was determined that the cause of one of the leaks was not at the roof as thought. Additional work was added to try and address the new potential cause of this leak.

[Member name removed] I just wanted to take a second to respond to your post. I have done some research on your file and job management to see what took place. I first want to say that I am sorry that you are unhappy. After speaking with my operations manager and remodeling manager it is my understanding that the scheduling and rescheduling was due to you cancelling because of your wife's job and other reasons on your part. Yesterday our foreman was sick which was unforeseen. We have tried to work with you. It is our position to strive for complete satisfaction for our customers. We do have you scheduled for Monday and Thursday, as your job is a 2 step process for drying time, to complete the work and will meet all your expectations. We do hope to keep you as a customer and appreciate your business. Sincerely, Barbara Carranza, Owner

Am still waiting for them to call to schedule and I gave them a deposit a while ago. They took the official order on 4/21 after initial contact on April 16. They told me project manager would call. Called them early May. Said project manager would call. 5/12 I called again. They told me I was scheduled May27 weather permitting. Friday before 27th, they called, said bigger job was delayed due to weather. Then I was delayed again and they were doing the work June18. They called on the 18th and said they could do the 19th or 23rd. I selected the 23rd. Morning of 23rd at 9:30 I got a call they would be there at 12 as they were completing another job. They arrived around 12 and started work. All was well until I went to look at the finished product. They had put caulk the same color as the natural clay siding to seal between the rake board and siding. The idea was right but the caulk line was crooked and sloppy so instead of a clean crisp line between rake board and channel edge, the darker caulk bled into the white rake because the caulk line was wavy and thick. I told the workmen and one of them tried to scrape it back a little but once you do caulk, especially dark caulk, you can't fix it. It's just a sloppy caulk job. I am bummed. the half rounds look great. just the d*** caulk line. if you are particular, don't pick these guys. If you want to get the job done timely, don't pick them.

Just to get someone out to give us a quote was like moving heaven and earth. We were understanding when we were told someone had been injured on a job the day they were supposed to come out and no one showed up. Once we got the quote, and the check from our insurance company, we called Carranza and they asked for a deposit and told us the project manager would be in touch. We sent approximately $350 in as a deposit. A few weeks went by....no word about scheduling an appointment. We left messages which went un-returned. We finally got someone on the phone who told us that because weather had been so bad, the workers were very behind. A few more weeks went by, and we threatened to ask for our deposit back and find another company. They said we would hear from the project manager. Eventually someone scheduled us for an appointment....about four weeks after we had finally gotten someone out to give us a quote. No one showed up during the scheduled time frame. We called and asked what happened and no one seemed to know what was going on. (I had set aside three hours of my day waiting for this person to show up). We were told someone would be out later in the day to help us...that they had gone out to purchase supplies...etc, etc....We were told they would be here by noon. Noon came and went...around 1pm the worker showed up and did someone of the job. The rest was done the following day. Awful experience--do not recommend! We've had so many positive experiences with contractors, and this was really beyond bad.
