When I purchased my first home, I was eager to start the next chapter of my life. I hired a home inspector, and the report came back with only minor deficiencies—nothing that seemed concerning. It gave me confidence that my new home was move-in ready. But shortly after I settled in, I began to uncover serious issues: major foundation problems, areas without power, and plumbing issues that became apparent when a bathroom leak sprang up just hours after closing.
This experience was a wake-up call. My time in the Navy taught me that when challenges arise, it’s essential to take proactive action to make things better, not let them escalate. So, I took it upon myself to learn everything I could about home repairs, tackling each problem head-on, even if it meant significant out-of-pocket expenses after closing.
This journey, though costly and at times overwhelming, transformed into a valuable learning experience. It also sparked a deep passion to help others avoid the same frustrations. Today, I’m proud to use the knowledge I’ve gained to help buyers and sellers make informed decisions and protect themselves from unforeseen issues that could impact their homes and finances.
As your home inspector, I approach every inspection with the same dedication and thoroughness I would want for my own home. My goal is not just to check boxes—it’s to provide you with the most comprehensive, honest, and detailed report so you can make confident decisions and avoid the pitfalls I experienced. can we change this section to a little something like this I can relate to and had a problem that drove me to become a Property Inspector.
