Guida Door & Window

Guida did an excellent job with the installation of our new door, but that was the easy part. Figuring out what we wanted and what was an appropriate replacement for our existing door was the hard part. We shopped for a long time for a replacement door, as our builder (2001 construction) installed a non-standard sized transom, and the wood trim surrounding the door was rotted through in 3 places. Replacing the door with a door from a "national" manufacturer was pricey as customization is not their specialty. Guida makes all of their doors custom, and they were the only ones that had access to the particular decorative glass (for the transom and sidelights) that we liked. Guida was not the cheapest option, but our options were to exactly replace our old rotted door with another black steel door and clear sidelights/transom for $4,000 to $5,000 or to get a nice fiberglass door with wood grain and beautiful decorative sidelights and transom from Guida. The other competitors could not match the realistic looking woodgrain on their fiberglass door and the availability of the glass. Ron Lomonaco was extremely patient with us as we asked numerous questions over a period of about 6 weeks. He was a terrific source of information and we are very happy with our decision.

I want to mention that this company does a very nice window presentation at your place, better than anybody else, and they work with you in the event of an issue. I adjusted my "C" feedback, since Guida took care of my order issue and had windows installed after some delay. The windows are now a beautiful addition to my interior/exterior. Installers were nice and experienced. They cleaned the area after work well. I would only suggest that they take an extra precaution protecting their work area from damages (I got a minor damage to jacuzzi tub) and replace a rotten wood before capping it.

I had drove to the Boothwyn showroom to see the doors in person get a better feel for what I was ordering. I decided to use this company signed order on 4/15/2013 I was told then would take 6 to 8 wks. That was just for the doors to be made. Then the installer calls to schedule. It took some time. 7/2/2013 another installer showed up as the original one was busy. He took his time and did the job well. I was please initially. The old door was about as old as the house. 7/8 week later problem with storm door. I contacted the sales person in Boothwyn he was to get it taken care of straight away. Then I was instructed to call the Philadelphia office and was then told the problem the installer was on vacation. I did get call from Ron Jr,who gave me assurance. Any problem I should contact him straight away. The installer was out ASAP. The problem was resolve. Installation warranty good for a year. FYI: This Provia storm door is aluminum and is not covered by an awning or Porch. Afternoon sun hits it and generates alot of heat which the dorm and handle get scalding hot can cause injury if not careful. I was never given a warning about this and not in the brochure.So on expected warm days I try to remember to retract the storm window to roll down the screen. OR I just open the entry door leaving the storm window up to let air cirulate.

I feel very comfortable with them. They do excellent work.

The work turned out well. It did take a while for the door to actually be made and then for the installer to call me to have it installed. The cost was comparable to others.

It turned out excellent and they did a great job! Their workmanship was excellent. They cleaned up and didn’t leave a spec around when they were done.

They were great. They came out when they said they would and had the parts right away. They work had and get everything done.

After writing a non favorable review about how Guida did not respond to my many request back in 2006 thru 2008. Within 2 days Mr. Ron Guida contacted me about my less than glowing report about his company Guida doors & windows. Ron went over each and every problem I had and within 3 weeks had addressed and repaired every problem with my main door and the storm door. I feel Ron Guida Jr treated me a a very Courteous and professional manner and was very apologetic for the past problems. I thank Angie's list and Ron Guida Jr. for their help

Great experience! Salespeople were helpful, listened to what we were interested in and showed us what would work within our price range. The installer was prompt, professional and did a beautiful job. We are thrilled with our new front door and storm door and would definitely use Guida Door in the future.

The Guida folks are courteous and efficient. Their prices are not low or cheap, but you get professional attention and a quality product. The only downside was that the time for fabrication of the windows was 3 weeks in one case and 4 weeks in the other - a little slow if you were expecting a faster turnaround. Their installers were first-class: they communicated conscientiously with us, conducted themselves in a courteous and professional manner, arrived promptly on time for measuring (on a Sunday !) and on both installation dates, used high-quality ancillary materials for installation, and cleaned up properly before they left.

Excellent installation of a steel door with lots of glass on an over 100-year-old house. (Not your standard pre-hung door & frame installation.) The installer was extremely neat and careful and obviously expert in hanging doors. Since we couldn't replace the existing door frame due to the extent of the original molding, a special frame was used and it worked out perfectly. Unfortunately, a few days after the installation I noticed a blob of unknown substance on the glass. The glass is a "sandwich"--the fancy glass is factory mounted between two layers of protective glass, and the blob was on the interior of the sandwich. I contacted Guida and the installer returned and confirmed that the blob was on the interior and couldn't be removed. To my delight, Guida replaced the entire glass! It took a bit of time as each glass panel is custom and is obtained through their glass supplier. When I was initially researching doors I found many, many complaints concerning damaged glass and doors that were not satisfactorily resolved (the manufacturer blamed the installer and vice versa), and it was a matter of real concern. Guida was NOT one of those companies, and I am very, very happy with their product and service. The quality of the door is excellent and the installation couldn't be better. I recommend Guida with absolute confidence--not only with the door and installation but with their handling of the glass issue. They are a quality company.

Guida did an excellent job! They completed 99% of the work in one day and only had to come back to install one window that was damaged in the original shipment. They wore courteous, fast, efficient, responsive and punctual. They also did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves. If I had not watched them do the installation I would never have known they were in the house. Great company. Excellent windows. I would definitely use their services again.

I am so impressed with Guida. From start to finish they meet all expectations or exceeded them. My salesman Matt taught me all about Low E windows, what makes windows and makers different, what to ask other companies during my vetting process, etc... I didn't feel pushed in one direction or another, I felt like Matt was just teaching me about all options. After meeting with Matt, all other salesmen and companies that came out to give quotes paled in comparison. Matt toldme it would take about 5-6 weeks to have all the windows made to order at the manufacturing facility and that he would call when they were in to schedule installation. As expected 5 weeks weeks later (even with Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays in between) , Joe from Guida called to tell me my windows were in. He was able to install them within a week. He told me the installation of all 13 windows would be done in 1 day and I really didn't believe him. Joe and two other installers showed up at exactly 9am on the day they said they would. They immediately got to work and installed window after window throughout the day. They didn't take a lunch break or waste any time. As promised, and to my amazement, by 4:30 they were completely finished inside and out. One of the installers even noticed that my front door know wasn't catching quite right and fixed it for me. Now that impressed me! I really can not say enough good things about this company and the people that work there. I've already recommended them to friends of mine.

Service call to Guida was very friendly. Sales rep visit within the same week with the BIG BOOK of doors, products and services. Once the wife and I agreed on the security door we wanted measurements were taken and we decided we wanted a custom addition which needed to be reviewed by the machinist. We gave our 1/2 deposit check to begin the process. These doors are 'cut' to spec, so we were told we would receive a draft (computerized image) with our custom request. We received this about a week later and gave the thumbs up for the design. About 4 weeks later the installer came and installed the door in about 2 or 3 hours. The installer was very good, and precise (and had years of experience). Upon the completion, we called Guida and paid the balance via telephone using our credit card. An overall positive experience and a quality door that was customized to our liking. No one in our area has this door and many neighbors have asked for Guida's information. I just hope no one copies our design lol. A little pricey though, but you get what you pay for. Thanks Guida!

After talking to one other company whose price was about three times what I wanted to spend, I contacted Guida. The Guida salesperson came on time and looked at my door. He offered a better solution (adding a security door rather than replacement door) to what the first company offered, so I went with them. They had a lot of options for security doors. The work was completed on time and with no surprises. I'm happy with the new door and would definitely consider them for any future jobs I may have.

Guida responded to our initial call for an estimate in a timely manner. Order was placed; the products and installation met my expectations. My only complaint, installation was about two weeks later than originally quoted.

Higher priced than all others, but high quality. Good quality in installing as well. Very happy with quality. Liked that doors were made by locals.

Quality installation within 1-day.

The salesman came right out and was helpful. It took longer than expected for my door to be made because it wasn't a standard size. It was difficult to schedule installment, but when the guys did come, they did a good job. The door looks great and feels secure.

The rep made a mistake and ordered a more expensive door than what I originally ordered. However, the company did not make me pay for the mistake. They were willing to replace the door with the one I actually ordered if over time I did not like the one I received. My door is the talk of the neighborhood. They were very professional and nice, answering all of my questions thoroughly. I was able to use coupons for $200 off each door and also received 10% off for being an Angie's List member.

Came for an estimate but didn't use them- Way too expensive. Nice salesman, though.

They were very accommodating. They were very thorough. It was a good experience all the way around. They were more than what we wanted to pay but because we had to have a door custom made so we have to pay for it. I cannot get it for $99.9 anymore. They have given us a 30 year warranty, for no bells or whistle, just a basic door. I understand it was custom made and would be harder.

The salesman was very knowledgeable, helpful and professional. Every question was answered. It was clear to us that this person knew his product and was eager to share the benefits with us. It took almost two months to get the doors, but we knew that going in. We are very, very happy with them. The installer was meticulous and professional. He took the time to give instructions on the various features of the doors. The doors are beautiful. Everything went as expected. I highly recommend this company.

I had seen brochures on this company which installs wrought iron outer doors and grills for windows and wrought iron railing. I had a choice of using a smaller company but went with Guida because I had heard of them. They came out for an estimate in October and said it would cost $2000 to replace both rails along the steps with the same scrollwork that was original. It was more expensive than other estimates I saw on the web but I could not tell if the quality of the railing would be the same. In fact my new railing has solid posts and they told me most had hollow posts which rusts more readily. I also opted for a powder coat finish which my old railing did not have. I got a call a few days before the installers showed up and they were close to on time. The two guys they sent were very professional and nice and tried to minimize the damage to the steps and brick when replacing the railing. They put the posts in 16 inches to make sure it was stable. They cleaned up afterwards and the railing looks stable and beautiful. I do not know if I could have gotten the same quality for less but I feel these railings will be there as long as I live in the house.
