Description of Work: The cost of the service was supposed to be $695.00. It cost me $1489.00. The provider always had some new reason i had to pay more. This service cost me $794.00 more. I am not happy about this. I have not used Angies list since.

Description of Work: Two water heaters were purchased through Angie's List which were very reasonable in price at $1340.00. However, the added expansion tanks which we needed to purchase as advised by the installer (Steve) were overpriced at $400.00 for the pair. Also, we had to pay an additional $50.00 for the drop tubes. I found the installer Steve to be quite overbearing and overwhelmingly in-your-face. The reason I did not rate the professionalism lower was that when I did the online research, our home should have had two expansion tanks initially. Thus, Steve was accurate in advising us in that manner, even though he charged outrageously for something that appeared to cost no more than $60.00 each based on my online research while he was present. Both hot water heaters seem to be working well at this time. With the exception of rust marks from the removal of the old water heaters that are still visible on my walkway, the clean-up was adequate.

Description of Work: We bought the $1195 75 gallon water heater big deal. We thought this was a great price and thought it was all inclusive as there was not fine print. The initial contact was a little strange as we received a call at 10 pm to schedule and answer questions regarding what type of water heater we had. We then found out we would need to pay another 500 for a power vent. We were a little taken aback, but decided to still take it. The guy that came was nice and professional for the most part--but was wondering how he would handle a 75 gallong tank, but he did it. Upon inspection of the tank, he told us we would need a bigger expansion tank which he could give us for another $250. OK, we're stuck, go ahead. When he was done, he said our water regulator was broken and he could fix it for another $300. Since this wasn't necessary to fix right away, we said no. My husband go a new regulator for $65 and did it himself. We were a little upset to pay more than we expected, but at least we have a new water heater and so far it seems to be working OK.

Description of Work: Replaced old tank & removed it. Added expansion tank & pressure gauge. Very competent, professional installation.

Description of Work: Lighting fast and even came on a Sunday. Highly recommend. Pricing very fair. I added the expansion tank and pan. I researched before they came and all their recommendations were right on. The water is so hot we had to turn it down. Definite hire.
