Artesian Pools And Spa

I am highly unsatisfied with this company for two main reasons. 1. In the spring of 2011 they came to our home to replace the "liner lock strips" that fit between the top of our liner bead and the coping around our pool and to stretch the liner back in to the metal rails around the top of our pool. They got the liner to back in and they put in place all new strips. They did tell me that they installed the liner 5 years prior. (this will be relevant in the last paragraph). 2. This year they would not come to our home as stated in the "services performed" section of this narrative UNLESS we provided them with a 50% deposit towards the payment of a new liner on the day they came to take the actual measurements. They did give me an over the phone quote that included the following: Only a 20ml liner, no 28 ml liners offered for the same price, no filling of the pool water but they would schedule it, there was extra charge for replacement of wall foam, they would replace gaskets and face plates for no extra charge and to give us up to 3 buckets of patch for the bottom of the pool at no extra charge. Would I go to their store: yes, they have a very large and nice show room with a variety of pool products. It is the nicest one in the area. They do also have a large and informative website. Their price was very competitive. Why we choose not to go with this company:If they originally installed the liner 6 years ago (as of this year), they should have used a deeper "bead" style to fit the lock system that is original to the pool (we do not have a typical in ground pool) . This made us question how familiar they are with our style of pool and if it could be done correctly this time. Also we were highly put off when they would not even come to our home to look at the pool and to give us the estimate unless we basically went with their company by paying them the 50% down the day of the estimate. If they came and looked at the pool and the in person quote was much higher then the over the phone, how would we be able to provide the difference? This basically would force us to go with them. Out of the 8 estimates we got they were the only company who would not physically come to see our pool . We were very disappointed.
