Capper Enterprises did the electrical wiring for my central air conditioner installation. They coordinated with the HVAC contractor, ran wiring, and connected to the breaker box as per their specifications. Work was completed on time and at a fair price. Technicians were both professional and courteous. There were no incidents or damages associated with the service. Their work met 100% satisfaction rating by both the HVAC installer and myself. I would definitely hire them again!

Ever since we had our generator installed by Ed in January, he has been our go-to guy for any and all electrical work. His work is meticulous and and we know when it is done by Ed we have nothing to worry about. He stands behind everything and is super reliable.

Ed did what he promised. He gave us updates about what would take place and when. He is professional and low-key, but always keeps to his word. I would recommend him to anyone who needs electrical work, particularly generator installation. He is one of the few who gives you the truth all the time and sticks to his word.

I highly recommend Ed. He's a very nice person, kind, considerate, and knowledgeable. He was very respectful (took his shoes off when entering the house without being asked, cleaned up everything before leaving, etc). Initially we were going to get a permanent generator, but due to some restrictions to where we could put it, decided to go with a transfer switch and portable. Even though we went from an $11,000 job to a $1100 dollar job, Ed didn't try to persuade us or anything. He was on time (both for estimate and job), replied to emails promptly, and did a fantastic overall job! He is a skilled electrician, and I will definitely use him again when an electrician is needed!!

Ed Capper is a master electrician, he showed up when promised, worked through the bitter cold, poured a quality concrete pad in the dead of winter that others said couldn't be done, trenched a 65 foot run to the house through frozen ground, and did a top-quality install of a 20kw Onan generator and automatic transfer switch for a price that beat competitors by about 40%. He removed the old partial generator and switch, reconfigured the panels, and installed an easy-to-access indoor control pad. He came back without prompting 10 months later to give the generator its first (free) service. Rarely have I seen such professionalism and commitment to quality in a contractor. Must be something in that military background.

Ed Capper responded to my initial contact very quickly and was able to come out the following day (Saturday) to take a look at our property. He was super knowledgable and answered every question we had. He said to give him a couple of days to work out an estimate and but he sent the estimate by the end of that day. Once we accepted the estimate he got right on ordering the generator and getting us on the books for install. He was very reliable and punctual. He answered emails in detail and kept us in the loop every step of the way. It had rained a lot right before the job start so the ground was really soft and was completely torn up and muddy. Mud was tracked from the trucks in to the street and in our driveway. He sent someone to powerwash the street and the driveway on a Saturday and he and the rest of the crew came on a Sunday to regrade and seed the yard and finish clean-up. We were thrilled with the work and level of expertise. And to have a contractor that is trustworthy, easy to communicate with and show up when he says he is going to show up (down to the minute) is refreshing! We already asked him to come back and do some interior electrical work in the near future.

Walter Capper arrived right on time and from the get-go was concerned about keeping our floors clean. There were lots of trips in and out of the house and at the end of the day you'd never have known that. He and his assistant worked steadily all day and were willing to explain the entire process to my husband at the end of the job. They left the work area looking great. He labeled all the circuit breakers on the new electrical panel and in my experience that doesn't always happen. Based on our experience, we will use Capper Enterprises for a couple other projects that we need done. We highly recommend Capper Enterprises.

(Member name removed)is absolutely right. I completely forgot about her. I didn't write her down in my appointment book for some reason, and if it doesn't make the book for whatever reason I will not remember. I appologize for missing the appointment. I can't find her number or Email or I would contact her directly and try to make things rite. I've been extremely busy and she slipped thru the cracks. I made this mistake once before and ended up doing the work for that gentleman for free. If (Member name removed)contacts me I will make a similar deal with her. Thank, Ed Capper

Ed has done quite a bit of work for us over the past two years and we continue to have his company come back for additional work. We have worked with a number of electricians over our 30 year period of doing renovations and home upgrades and Ed is without a doubt, the best in all categories. Using him thus far has been a no brainer.

The response to my initial contact was impressive. Got a call at 8:00 am the next morning and a visit for an estimate later that afternoon.( I had two other contractors that never bothered calling back) All of my questions and concerns were answered without the sales pitch lingo and I do appreciate that with anyone. He spent time detailing the job and the model unit I would be purchasing. The estimate was spot on to the amount I anticipated to spend. No down payment was asked for, which these days many people are cautious about. In fact, these was no discussion of money until the work was 100% complete ! You don't find many contractors like that. Walt and his crew where excellent. Prompt show up time in the mornings and worked professionally the two days they were here. Work was clean and professional and the guys were also very personable.Another great thing about them, they are all military vets from different branches. I highly recommend Capper Enterprises. Anyone who hires them will not be disappointed. Prices,Quality,Knowledge and hiring a group of Vets that served our country...Nothing better.

After an initial miscommunication, Ed was very prompt and was able to redirect a circuit on the generator that was not functioning. He has very good knowledge of the generator product and also gave me some tips regarding the care and operation of our unit. The other work I had asked him to quote was not a priority for us and so he will complete that work when he has available time in between his generator installations. Very professional, very thorough, and very knowledgable.
Description of Work: The provider had set up an apt to redirect some of the circuits of my stand by generator. I had also asked him to quote installing a new electric box, some cable wiring and box, and replacing some defective outlets.

Over the last thirty years I?ve bought and sold way too many houses and hired way more than my share of contractors and craftspersons to do all kinds of work. In short, I?ve seen, and been through, the good, the bad, and some of the really ugly when it comes to independent contractors. Ed Capper is among the very, very, good. Most recently Ed installed switches and breakers for a portable generator, wired the switch box to the most important components needed in a power failure, and built a cable to connect my house to the location where I need to place the generator. The whole installation inside and out is clean and expertly done. Also, Ed has rewired and installed electrical components in several rooms in my bizarrely complicated 120 year-old house. He has tracked down faults and repaired outdoor underground wiring to post lights and will now route electricity underground to an old garage and install all the electrical aspects of what will become a small shop. Bottom line: In my experience over the last eight months, Ed Capper has been completely reliable, honest, friendly, and communicative about all the electrical work I?ve needed. He works fast, knows what he?s doing, and all at a fair price. If you are within his range of travel and he can fit you into his schedule, count yourself lucky, as I do.

After losing power for 6 days earlier this year it was time to stop putting off a generator. After months of research and talking to different suppliers, sales reps and people who have generators, I decided on a Generac 36k whole house unit. Ed from Capper enterprises had done electrical work at my house before through a contractor who renovated my attic. Ed, when finished, handed me his card stating he does generator and is a Generac certified installer and supplier. After 4 different quotes I was still unsure who to go with, then I remembered I had Ed's card. I called and inquired about installing the generator I had purchased online so a time was set up for measurements and a quote. It is really nice that if someone says a time they will be there, that is the time they actually show up. After measuring, listening to my suggestions about where I wanted it put and answering questions, Ed was done and said I would have a price by the next day. Again I was pleasantly surprised with an email with a quote the next day. Cappers price was on par with the rest but it was his knowledge and willingness to listen to what I wanted that won him the job. We made a date for the install. Again, nice surprise as it was 8 o'clock on the dot when Ed drove into my drive. He worked non-stop until the job was done and was polite and neat. The workmanship was great with no issues. It is now very reassuring that the generator is there in waiting. No spoiled food or frozen pipes from now on! I have since had Capper Enterprises wire an air conditioner for me as well as run extra power points and lights in my garage. I was, and still am, completely satisfied with the work that has been done so do yourself a favor and talk to Ed about your generator.

Ed was professional, punctual, and flexible. He kept us informed about what he was doing (how and when), and he was extremely patient responding to my numerous questions. He knows what he's doing, and he does it--no messing about--and he does so with good humor. Note as well: he exceeds value for money. Top notch!

Ed arrived promptly. He went over all of the details of the job with me, and patiently answered all of my questions. He was very polite and very professional. He performed all of the work as agreed, and then cleaned up all debris and trash. When the work was complete, Ed went over the entire job with me and made sure that it was done to my complete satisfaction. He is a perfectionist and I complimented him on how neat and tidy the panel looked. Even my wife was impressed. We tested the panel together and Ed made double sure that everything was working properly before he left. Ed's price was more than fair, and fell right about in the low-to-middle range of the estimates that we had gotten. I feel that given the excellent quality of his work, we got a real bargain. We will definitely call Ed again if we need any additional electrical work done, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to our friends.

I was extremely pleased with Ed Capper's professionalism, punctuality and pricing. I live alone, and I start work very early so I asked if he could arrive at my home by 7 a.m. He was actually two minutes early! There were no issues with his work, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Ed is a former commercial/industrial electrician who has just started a new business. A good friend who had worked with him in the past recommended him and I'm very glad that he did. From the time my wife and I met Ed, he was extremely responsive, personable, and competent. He never attempted to overcomplicate the job, and turned around an estimate very quickly and professionally. His work has been well above average, he's a great communicator, and he has gone well beyond the call of duty in handling those "extras" that we homeowners oftentimes overlook initially. His pricing is second to none. We have received tremendous value per dollar from Ed and we plan to use him for a long time into the future. His helpers were well managed and conducted themselves appropriately. We've dealt with many other electricians and Capper Enterprises simply provides great service for rational and sane prices. Give this guy a chance to bid on your work. You won't be sorry.
Description of Work: We own an old, but large farmhouse that was built in the 1700's. There are many internal stone walls, few chaises, and old wood floors and plaster walls. These structures are generally very difficult for any type of mechanical/infrastructure work. Ed essentially updated much of the wiring, added new outlets, lighting fixtures, and exhaust fans in bathrooms. We also need all new CATV, CAT5, and speaker wire runs throughout the house. Additionally, new breakers and panel work is being done.
