I hired Zavalas Landscaping to install several large trees in my backyard (5 arborvitaes. 1 clump bird and 1 kwanzan cherry) with tree rings and mulch. The owner (Danny) worked with me very closely, listening to my requests and adapting to scope changes. He helped come up with creative ways to bring the massive (15' tall +) trees through our fence into the backyard. He and his crew worked impressive hours to get the entire job done in one day. The work was amazing and Danny is a consummate professional. What sets him apart from other contractors is that he actually listens to and cares about the homeowner's desires. He made it very clear that his priorities are the long-term health of the trees he put in and my satisfaction with the work at the end of the day. I would definitely recommend him to anyone doing landscaping/hardscaping work!

Not well. We have to replace trees that are only two years old and have died. My flowering trees have their roots exposed. When we called, he never got back to us.

Dan was professional, creative and meticulous, paying great attention to detail, with the project from beginning to end. He was so personable and easy to work with. His staff was respectful and kept our property very neat and clean while the patio was being built. The entire project was well organized and the finished product exceeded our expectations. Dan created an outdoor living space that is absolutely amazing! We receive continuous compliments on the design and quality of workmanship. We plan on hiring Dan for all of our future outdoor projects.

Dan Zavala did a great job reworking my backyard. Had the entire job done within three days. Would recommend and hire again.

The erosion was filled with new topsoil and reseeded, and the results were all I could have asked for. I now have an uninterrupted lawn around the house instead of patches of grass. To prevent future erosion, Zavala's created two stone-lined drainage areas both of which added to the attractiveness of the property. We rely on Zavala's for regular lawn maintenance, mulching, spring and fall cleanups, and snow removal. The company is consistently reliable and the work is always very well done. I consider the charges for all work to be very reasonable.

After having multiple landscapers come to give assessments and not being pleased with what any of them had to offer I finally came across Zavala's Landscape and Lawn Care. Danny listened to my ideas for the area and completed what I'd consider a pretty in depth assessment. He got back to me promptly with some beautiful ideas and a very reasonable price. The work was done within the projected time frame and Danny and all of the men working on the job were incredibly curtious and helpful. The completed project is amazing and I am so grateful for all of the hard work that went into getting it done.

I worked directly with the owner, Danny, throughout my entire project. He designed my new walkway and surrounding landscaping based off our meeting. He brought a detailed contract to review the project and we signed and said he'd start the project in 2-3 weeks. They were at my house two weeks to the day that I signed the contract. They were professional and courteous and the project was completed in two days. The original time frame discussed was possibly three days. They stayed late to complete it early. It looks beautiful. Danny went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He takes great pride in his work. I couldn't be happier and can't wait to have him back to do work at my house again.

After many delays due to weather and seasonal issues we were finally contacted by the gentleman who came to do the estimate. Over the phone he gave us an estimate that was on par with other landscapers we had interviewed. However when we asked for it in writing we never heard from him again.

They guaranteed the price and got the job done quickly. I chose them because of the specialized mulch that would not harm my puppy who wanted to eat it. They left the area spotless and it was beautiful. They were punctual and did exactly what I wanted them to do. They did such a good job I am now using them for lawn care.
