They were fine. They were attentive and got the job done in a timely manner. They were very professional, pleasant, and seemed to know what they were doing. Their price was good, but it was not great.

The guy was very nice. Paul Wright Contracting Inc probably would have been my second choice. He was very informative with the information he gave me. I think they might have been a little bit more expensive than the one I went with. There was no bad experience. I had another company in mind to begin with that was slightly closer to where we live and I knew other people who has used the company we decided to go with. Paul Wright had a higher rating on Angie's List but one of the things was the one that I did go with, I think there were, something about responsiveness was on there but not getting return phone calls or whatever. I will possibly use them but I have a 50-years warranty on the roof, if something happen to the current roof, I probably would go to the one that I had did the roof.
Description of Work: They gave an estimate for roof replacement and in addition to that replacing gutters, downspouts and the fascia.

It was a tough ugly job on an old house and they completed it but is was a battle to get them to show up and to finish. It I had to keep emailing and calling and felt ignored, as I do now. I had to withhold final payment for some mistakes that I caught by getting up on my roofs. Then I called them back for a leak, which they made me do all the carpentry and painting for, then they stopped responding to my newest problems though I am within warranty. When they asked for final payment, I went up on my roof and saw they didn't flash the chimney that they were supposed to (bad leak) but flashed another chimney (they probably should have done both even if there was not visible leak damage). They fixed that and also a silver coat was put on with mulch and leaves stuck in the silver coat. I took pictures of this all while up on my roof. The owner agreed that was a sloppy job and had it redone. There were other things I caught, and probably things I don't know enough to catch. Anyway , I suggest checking their work closely before paying them the final payment. I have things like exposed nail heads on my shingles that they did not bother putting caulk on. Holes and gaps that need to be fixed, etc. They wouldn't respond to any of my calls or emails to I hired a pro to clean up the mess and make it tight up there. The mess-of-nails left all over the roof and ground is about cleaned up a year later. I don't know why they don't have that magnetic broom that my new roofer has that draws all the nails onto it. I would hire Home Depot or Lowes if they did roofs like I needed. They would stand behind their product. They would return calls.
Description of Work: New roofing and box gutters. Old house, tricky job. Rotted wood under box gutters. I hired them because they were the only roofers I could find who were willing to tackle my job and finish the mess left by another contractor.

Wow, I can sling mud all day long at this client too, if I was so inclined. We did a fantastic job on what we were contracted to do. We did the job according to the schedule we layed out in the beginning - she just didn't like the schedule. In the end we had to stop going back to fix things that were not a part of our contract.

Very well, two men came out to inspect the roof and look over the issue we called about. Since the repair was actually only about a 20 minute repair they checked the rest of the roof and found several areas that needed some maintenance now to prevent them from becoming leaks in the future. They offered us two hours of service work by two men for their basic price of $419.00. We accepted and within 2 or 3 days they arrived and went about their work. Very professional and very courtious. We were very pleased.
Description of Work: Repaired a leak in a shingled roof and checked the entire roof for additional problems and took care of them also.

I called and my call was returned the same day. I explained what I needed and was told someone would be out to give an estimate the following Monday. He checked the chimney area and explained what he found. He explained what the repair was needed and the cost. We agreed to have the repair done and it was scheduled. The two man crew came as scheduled and performed the job. They showed the material removed and pictures of the job from start to finish. I'm very satisfied.

Upon arrival and closer inspection of my gutter guard system. Paul Wright Roofing determined that they could not repair my gutters to the original specifications. They went out of their way to find a contractor that could perform the work to my satisfaction. After they reached out to other contractors, they found no one in the eastern PA area that could perform the work. They went even futher and found a company in Maryland that could and was willing to come to Easton to do the repair. I still can not believe how much Paul Wright went out of their way to help me get the repairs done. I did not pay them a penny but the work was done. My roof will probable need to be replaced in a couple of years and I will definitely reach out to them after this kind of customer service.

The sales person was prompt professional and asked and answered questions, he knew his business. He got a good feel for what I wanted to have addressed, the replacement of my slate roof. He left me with a sales packet with a description of the company and he products that they used. The sales person also indicated that I would hear from him by the end of the week, either by phone or email with an estimate. This is the last time I heard from the Paul Wright Contracting. Some might question why I did not call. Someone says they are going to do something then I (surprise, surprise) expect them to follow through. Sure I needed the work done, but I can schedule other companies to come take take a look at my house. What it indicated to me is that they did not want business, they could have simply let me know that they were not interested to do the work, any sort of contact would have been better then nothing.
Description of Work: The provide did not perform any services. They did come by the house and began the estimate process.

It's a shame you made such assumptions about my company from a single contact. My records show we emailed your quote 2 days after your meeting with my estimator. I have a copy of the quote. For reasons unknown to me, neither you nor my estimator made any follow up contact after that email. I'm not going to make any assumptions as to why at this point. Paul

The roof looks great! Our old roof (GAF Royal Sovereign in charcoal) was approximately 23 years old and had sustained some minor damage (approx. 10 shingles blew off) during hurricane Sandy. The blow-offs were replaced. Although the roof still had some life left in it, we decided to replace it now. We were planning to replace all of our windows with the exception of the bay window. So the roof had to be done first to avoid any possible damage. Paul Wright had replaced the roof on a neighbor's home around the corner - she was pleased with their effort. Another friend in the township had work performed and too was pleased. We had researched the options available and were well informed when the estimator arrived. We knew we wanted a GAF installer, the specific products, and the promises that come with the system so that we could have a worry free roof. We chose Paul Wright Roofing. Price: The price was competitive with the 2 other GAF estimates but not the lowest. The only issue we had with the price was when we asked about the radio promotion ($500 discount) we were told that the estimate was already 'bare-boned' to be competitive and that the discount couldn't be offered . Quality/Professionalism: The roof looks great. The siding on the side walls was removed and replaced to apply ice and snow shield(a requirement of the golden pledge). The chimney re-flashed. New ridge venting installed. The shingles really compliment the siding. But the process to get there wasn't smooth. The on-site foreman needs to be more hands-on and involved with the crew to assure that the installation is properly done to the GAF requirements. The Pro-starters were not installed properly. Nearly every one of them had to be re-nailed and sealed by a repair crew after the fact. Although this was resolved and Paul Wright absorbed the cost, it never should have happened. The crew needs to know the requirements of the Golden Pledge system Although they did spread tarps to protect the lawn and landscaping, some minor damage (asphalt scrapes to the vinyl siding that had to be cleaned and a scratch or two to the bay window) still occurred when the debris was thrown from the roof. More care needs to be employed. There was also some other minor issues - for example the wrong vent flashings were ordered. But all of the issues were resolved in a reasonable manner. We are confident that the roof will perform as promised for many years. Several people have stopped and complimented us on the roof and asked about the installation. We are very pleased with the final product and the look of our roof. Aside from the relatively minor issues, I would consider them again and recommend their service. Paul Wright Roofing took care of all of the issues. They were able to accommodate our schedule to have the roof installed prior to the new windows installation. We have had our roof inspected by GAF and have our warranty in hand.
Description of Work: Replaced a 23 year old roof on home that had sustained slight damage due to hurricane winds with approximately 16 squares of GAF Timberline HD Pewter Grey shingles to the GAF Golden Pledge standards. (Included new flashings, ice and water shield, replaced decking where necessary, and new venting.)

Price was a higher, but the we liked the description of work methods and promise of attention to details and clean up. The were quick efficient and delivered as promised. Only shortcoming was they promised to cover all areas adjacent to house to protect plans and catch debris, but the tarps were torn with big hole meaning a lot of junk and nails got through. The did go over the area pretty well when they got done including running a magnetic roller to pick up nails, but we still found more than I hoped in the weeks that followed. Fortunately no damage done. Overall very pleased with the work.

They were very, very good. I don't remember the exact price but it was a very good and reasonable price. First of all, he actually knows what he is doing and then he actually shows up on time and gets the job done. And he gives you a fair bid that he follows up on, in writing. And then he follows up to see if you are satisfied and asks you to comment on the work. That's all very good.

I had water coming through two windows in my walk-in level basement. I was recommended to a contractor through my HOA company and received an estimate from them in the mail. I constantly called them with some questions but the manager I was dealing with would not return my calls despite my calling numerous times and leaving messages. I finally found Paul Wright roofing on Angie's List and gave them a call. They were very professional from the beginning. The salesman, Jim, came and evaluated the problem. He told me that he would get back to me in a couple of days with an estimate and he was true to his word. I did not have to wait more than two days. I called to let him know that his estimate was more than the previous contractor and he explained that the job was detailed and involved removing my siding and getting behind my deck. In all honesty, I didn't mind paying the extra money because they were professional and did what they said they would do. If I called with questions, someone always got back to me in a reasonable time. In life you get what you pay for. Once the job was completed, I could see that they worked very meticulously and didn't leave any mess on my deck. I didn't put the check in the mail rightaway. I called the company and asked if I would be receiving an invoice pertaining to the balance. I was told that I shouldn't worry about that right now. They just wanted to make sure that I was totally satisfied and that water was no longer coming into my house. My total satisfaction was important to them. It wasn't just about getting my money. This was a good experience for me because I have had negative experiences with contractors prior to this. I would definitely use them again and I would recommend them if you are seeking total professionalism and excellent work.

First, let me say that the work that was done was done well. Though workmanship is very important, the miscommunications which occurred during the job somewhat overshadowed the work done - 1) When told it was a 2 day job, I assumed that this meant 2 consecutive days. It was a week between the start of the job and its finish. 2) Though one worker was told that the bags of garbage could be left on the driveway until the next day (when I thought they were coming back), the bags, along with other supplies, were left on the front lawn. I moved them once I found out that there was a chance that they would not be able to come back to complete the job the next day. 3) No one informed me that the electrical outlet outside was tripped - they just used a different one. Had I known this, it would have explained some electrical problems I had inside the house which were directly caused by the outside GFI outlet issue. I had to have someone come out from another company to diagnose the problem. 4) I was told workers would be there on a given day to finish up the work, but no one showed and no one called to say they wouldn't be there.

We had called them after Hurricane Sandy to repair possible leaks and they offered to deduct this service off the whole roof being completed which was needed after almost 30 yrs. I had been laid off and they offered the same price for whenever I would retain a job. The office was very professional and very helpful. The roofers themselves did an excellent job, however whent they left, there was the trailer left in our driveway and trash all over our yard, driveway and even some on the sidewalk with no note as to when they were going to clean it up. I called the office and they did send someone over to clean it and they did a great job of cleaning it up in a quick manner, also apologizing that the roofers did not leave a note or tell us when clean up would be and this was unusual. Overall, we are pleased with the roof and the promptness of the office to make things right.

They looked at the job for a few mins. Then checked off a few boxes on a pre-printed price form. First, no two jobs are exactly the same, so how can you just check a box on a form. Secondly, the prices are so high for easy jobs that it tells me they don't want to be bothered.

Paul Wright Contracting did a fine job repairing our office roof. Estimates were clearly stated and our concerns were addressed promptly. Their communication was clear and timely. The crew worked efficiently and cleaned up all debris at the end of each day. The company inspector came back to check the roof after the last rain storm to ensure that we no longer had any leaks. Everything was good. All the work done was excellent. The person that came out to take a look at it was very personable and professional. We had a small leak on our roof possibly due to Hurricane Sandy where some shingles had lifted and a sleeve needed replacing on a vent pipe in the roof. The estimator, Bruce, was very thorough and found additional repairs that were needed for the maintenance of our roof. He took pictures and sent us a thorough estimate. We decided to use them because they had good reviews on Angie's list and they were thorugh. Other estimators told us that they could get our shingles from GAF even though they were no longer being manufactured. We are not sure if these folks tried, but since Bruce was so thorough we assumed they would. They did not. The problem was scheduling the work. They do not give advance notice of their arrival. They only call the afternoon before the work is performed. This can be a problem when you are away or working. We had to call them back and cancel the work for the next day since we were at the hospital that day. Then they just showed up on our anniversary! As a homeowner, we like to be present when work is performed. They did a good job in the end.
Description of Work: With the exception of some difficulty matching the shingles, the work was performed properly. We had difficulty scheduling the work at a convenient time and they wound up showing up to our place on our anniversary. They were also performing work that was not included in the original scope of the project. Luckily. this was quickly averted by the estimator. Make sure that you are present during the work if possible to avoid problems. The communication between the estimator and the folks performing the work is not the best. This may have been due to a misunderstanding.

Well, I hate to argue with a "B" rating, but I think we handled this job very professionally! The shingle selection was made by her husband, there was no need to look any further after he made the selection on the roof with us. Yes we did re-flash the wrong vent collar. We were supposed to do 2 of them, there were 3 on the roof. The service tech did two and realized his mistake so he did the third for free. And we did call ahead. We scheduled the job a week in advance and called to let her know. We then called the day before we were scheduled to remind her.

I love Paul Wright Contracting Inc. They are beyond fantastic. They are incredible. I choose them because of the review and the review was exquisite. They are outstanding. They show up on time, give you the bid that you need to give, and answer the questions. I have had a good experience with them. It is money extremely well spent. He has quoted $29800 for one roof where they would be replacing the shingles for asphalt shingles and for the other roof we $39300 for the big barn roof. The entire quote is for $69000. As for the responsiveness, I had to post phone one appointment since my husband has end stage renal failure. So it was my fault.

The job went as planned with no problems in the time frame estimated.
Description of Work: My home is an old victorian with a turret on the roof. The roof is 3 stories high from the side walk. The turret was leaking and needed to be re-roofed. The roof removed was asbestos. The original tin valleys were coated and painted and the steeple was repaired and repainted to match the valleys. The crew had to construct scaffoldings which took the better part of a day to create a safe working environment for the employees which I really appreciated. The crew were very polite showed up on time and were very professional. The job was done in the estimated time frame, the job was cleaned up after the work was done. I would definitely recommend Paul Wright Roofing to my friends and family. As a matter of fact, I did!
