Very easy to deal with. Estimator showed up on time, gave me a fair price, pointed out some things I hadn't realized were wrong, and explained what they would do to fix it. I accepted their estimate, and he said they'd be out within two weeks. Exactly two weeks later the two roofers were at the house, fixed all of the problems, and cleaned up. They did a great job, but I was waiting for it to rain before I gave them an A rating. It rained very hard this weekend, and no leaks, the gutter is not collecting water, I'm very happy with the job they did. Plus, they were super-nice and very professional.
Description of Work: My roof was leaking. They replaced a section of the plywood, added a section of gutter from upper roof downspout to lower roof downspout (to alleviate the original problem), replaced shingles and rehung the lower downspout.

I had a negative experience with them. They are the one who never called be back. I called them four times because I had a question about the estimate. He had left something off from the estimate and I wanted to ask about it. Four times, I talked to his secretary and I asked for the estimator to call me back. She would say he has your number and would call you back. I would wait for few days or a week and call again; she would say he did not get back to you yet. This went on for like four times. Finally, I gave up. I was getting other estimates in the mean time. Then I found another service provider and went with him. I saw Paul Wright on Angie’s List and he had got very high ratings. He came out really quickly, then did the estimate right away. He was a nice guy. He sent me the written estimate in a timely manner. Once I saw that, I noticed he forgot something and I had a question about the price, what was included and all of that. Actually, I was prepared to book him almost. I had a good feeling about him. But then he just never called me back, no matter how many times I called him back to ask a question about the estimate, he never got back to me. That was really strange. I gave up on him. For overall experience, I would have to give him an “F” since he never called back. How can you run a business when you do not talk to your customers? Initially responsiveness was great. As I said I thought ok, this could be the guy because he came right out, he was friendly and he gave me some good information. It started off really well and then he did break the wall. I have to say initially responsiveness was “A”, but after that it’s “F -” because he just showed off the radar. It’s half “A” and half “F”. For the first part of it, I would give him an “A” for coming out, doing the estimate and sending me the written estimate. That all happened very quickly and professionally. After that, it just came to a scritching halt. I would say give him an “F” because in the end his estimate did not do me any good. If I could not get the work done what good is an estimate, it’s just a piece of paper. That’s as far as I got with him, I never got the work done plus all the frustration of not been able to talk to anybody. He not calling me back negated everything else that he did. In terms of punctuality, he was here on time. In terms of professionalism, he’s a nice guy and seemed to know stuff. I would not use his services again in the future.

The member called for an estimate on Monday 4/25/11. Tony met with him on Wednesday 4/27/11 and gave him a quote on Friday 4/29/11. Cheyanne did a follow up call to him on Tuesday 5/3/11 and he said he wanted masonry work done on his chimney. He was told we don't provide that service but we would ask some of our contractor affilliates if they would be interested in helping him with his chimney. He then called every day insisting we give him a quote on his chimney or the name of someone who would. I have to disagree with the member where he says we didn't call him back. We did speak with him about his chimney on 2 occasions in the week that followed his roofing quote. Tony shares my office and I heard him explain to the member that masonry was not a service we provide. He said he would ask some our associates if they might be able to help him but he made no commitment to take on the responsibility of quoting or fixing his chimney. If you need roofing, siding, gutters or windows we're the best around. Remodeling, masonry, plumbing, etc. are not services we provide. I'm sorry the member feels his experience with my company was so bad, but I can verify that he was called back more than once.

I had a roof leak problem that needed attention. The technician was very honest and showed me what I could do myself without spending too much money. I made the neccesary repairs he reccomended and my roof leak problem was fixed temporarily. I waited three months to see if the leak had stopped. I was getting ready to fix the interior leak damage when my tenant called and said that the leak had started up again and now it was worse. I contacted Paul Wright Roofing again and they never got back to me. I've been on a waiting list for two months now for people that just need to be called back. It appears to me that they're not hurting for business so I've decided that if that is the case than I don't need to do business with them either. But my decision to not give them a good rating and not to use their service has been triggered by my own reputation being hurt. The first person who my reputation has been hurt with is my tenant because the inside of her apartment is now starting to get mold and the ceiling is about to fall. The second person would be my neighbor whom I reccomended paul Wright Roofing to and she ended up getting a very bad experience with them, and that makes me look bad because my neighbor will never trust a reccomendation from me again. I'm sorry guys (at Paul Wright Roofing) but I'm not going to make the same mistake twice so I won't be reccomending your service to any more people nor do I plan on doing any business with you in the future. Let me also add that I originally submitted a excellent report on Paul Wright Roofing but I've changed it to reflect the present reality of the situation.
Description of Work: The first experiance was great and the technician came and did a free estimate. The second time I contacted them, they just put me on a waiting list and never got back to me.

I submitted an online request for a bid to roof our house and garage, requesting pricing for asphalt shingles, metal, and slate. I was contacted after about a week by their scheduling department and set up a time to meet with their estimator about a week and a half after that. I arranged to leave work early that day to meet him. I was on my way home when I received a call from him, saying that the company typically requests an "Eagle View" (satellite image) before an estimate, and one hadn't been done for our house. He asked to reschedule a week out; no problem, though I had already left work and lost a half a day's wages. A week later, again I schedule time off to meet him late in the afternoon; he called me in the morning and said he was at the house. He said he would get his measurements and be able to put together an estimate. I couldn't leave work at the drop of a hat to go meet him (and it's an hour away, anyway), so I said, fine, go ahead. Now, I expected that he would get his numbers together and contact me to set up a meeting to go over it. No. I received an estimate in the mail two days later. A week later, the scheduling department contacted me to make sure I got the estimate and ask if I wanted to go ahead with it. Now, maybe I'm just being picky, but I would like to meet someone from the company before agreeing to a $33,000 contract. Maybe see some of their work, and find out what options I have as far as materials and color choices go. All in all, I really got the impression that they weren't interested in doing our roof and that I was inconveniencing their estimator. Pretty lousy way to keep customers coming through the door, I'd say.

The member asked us to quote installing a new flat roof over the many many flat roofs already on his row home in Allentown. He was not interested in entertaining a quote to remove the existing roofing (which is current building code), because he did not want to spend the money. I chose not to quote this job because I don't believe in quoting a job that I wouldn't do anyway; and I won't apologize for refusing to do a job that I consider to be less than professional, (and perhaps even illegal). I'm sure there are lots of other contractors who would be glad to do the work as he has requested. I'm just not one of them, and I'm pretty sure Angie's List is not the best place to find those contractors. Paul Wright

Terrific. Despite having some rainy days, the siding men took their time and displayed great professionaism in their work.
Description of Work: Needed to replace the worn wooden siding with new white aluminum. Not only did Paul Wright Roofing do an outstanding job, their follow up is meticulous. Highly recommended Andre, the installer. They cleaned up my property beautifully and I have been very pleased with the end result. Bruce Richetta is a first-rate salesman. After looking up different reviews on Angie's list I decided to call Paul Wright Contracting for an estimate for a leak in the roof. Bruce Richetta came out at the time of the appointment and could not have been more professional, he came with references, a business card and camera to show me what was wrong with the roof. He was the one who pointed out the spot above the front door as well as explained what our options were as to fixing the problems. We had them put us on the schedule and once the weather cleared up two gentlemen came out and fixed everything within a few hours. Great company!!
Description of Work: We had 4 vent collars replaced as well as a minor repair to the roof above the front door. They also resealed any exposed nails with sealer applied ice water shield with the vent collars.

Extremely well, the responded promptly, the showed up when they said they would, did a truly professional job, and were friendly and cooperative.
Description of Work: I had a leaky flat roof. I called on a Friday and agent came to my house on Monday. He then looked at the work to be done and explained to me in detail what he would do; completely remove the old roof, what materials he would use and their guarantee. He then said he would provide an estimate before the end of the week. I received the estimate and contracted with him to do the job. Due to cancellation, they were able to start the work the next day. The work took a little over 3 days and it was done properly. I should also mention that due to the way my roofs were built there was a problem with debris buildup where the 2 roofs met. He remedied that situation.

It was a good experience from start to finish. They promptly returned my first call and set up an appointment for an estimate. They guy came and did a detailed estimate right then and there. This made it very easy for questions and clarifications and gave me the opportunity to verify that everything I wanted done was accurately included in the estimate. When I called to let them know I wanted them to do the work, he came over that day to get the signed contract and schedule the work. The roof was put on the week they said they would come and the siding and gutter covers followed the next week. I came home from work early a few times thoughout the project to check on the work and ask questions and always met with professional, friendly employees. The final bill was exactly what was stated on the estimate. I have no complaints at all. The employees were always friendly and professional. The job site was always cleaned up each night before they left. They completed the job in a timely manner and within the estimate. I would recomment them to anyone.
Description of Work: They removed the old roof shingles and installed new ones, removed the old aluminum siding and replaced it with vinyl siding and installed gutter guards.

Bruce, who came to the house to prepare the estimate was very thorough and I felt he did not try to sell me services that I did not need. The only complaint I had with the job was that it took a month until they could get to my house to do the work, even though they had told me the work would be performed sooner. The workers were professional, polite, and cleaned up after themselves. I will definitely use this company again.

After seeing wonderful reports on Angie?s List, I called to get an estimate from Paul Wright and other noted roofing companies in the area. Funny enough Bruce arrived at the same time as another contractor who was present to provide an estimate. I felt much more at ease with Bruce, he did such a good job explaining the situation and his recommendations, there was also no pressure. I didn't feel as if he was trying to get me to spend more money. Oddly enough, despite other reports that Paul Wright's estimates were slightly higher than other estimates received. I can report Paul Wright's estimate was actually the best estimate I received. Paul Wright was wonderful about squeezing me into their schedule to get the job done right away. The workmen arrived at 8:00 a.m. started working immediately and were done by 3:00 p.m. Paul Wright workers did a great job of cleaning up; at the end of the day my property looked as if they had not even been there at all. There were no nails or scraps of shingles anywhere. Only downside is a minor, which is no one came out to look at my roof once done or while the workman were there as other previous customers have reported. Which is disappointing as that was a factor in my decision making. Bruce did follow-up by phone and said that he would come out, however, to date I don't believe that has happened. Also I was interested in joining the overhead maintenance plan for the purpose of getting my gutters cleaned twice a year, but I haven't heard back on that either. At any rate, I would highly recommend Paul Wright, on the whole my experience was very good, pricing was great, everything was easy and ?no fuss?.

Overall the work seemed well done. It appeared that previous work on the roof by another slate roof contractor had been insufficient to salvage the slate (and there was clear rotting of some of the wood underneath). In several areas, particularly near the end of the roof (above the gutter) the slates only had metal shims put in, many of which were rusted away and led to the wood rotting. The initial estimate took this into account, but there was more damage than expected once the slate roof was removed. However, the costs were reasonable and stayed within the maximum estimates given. The work was completed efficiently and the "mess" was cleaned up at the end.
Description of Work: We had a slate roof removed, some of the boards either replaced or plywood over and recovered with shingles. In a few areas, slates were replaced.

We were highly impressed with the service, workmanship, and professionalism of Paul Wright Contracting. From the very beginning they were prompt, courteous, and thorough. As a Project Manager myself, I recognize the importance of these attributes and am very meticulous with high expectations when it comes to project work. Paul Wright Contracting met every one of my expectations for the entire project. The roof was beautifully done and the workers cleaned up during the day and evening before they departed, which is a very great part of the service. Paul Wright Contracting also gave us gutter guards for free when we signed them up for the job and completely rebuilt/redesigned the chimney flashing for free as well. During the initial pricing and negotiation process, Bruce answered all of our questions perfectly and provided us a complete and 100% accurate picture of how things would proceed. When there was doubt about specific areas, it was identified in advance and thoroughly documented afterwards. Additionally, Brian (similar to Bruce's role) regularly stopped in to check on progress and there was an experienced foreman in charge at the site for each day they were here. I would also like to recognize the work ethic of the team that was here for the project - most days they started at 8am or earlier and worked until 8pm or 9pm to get the job done quickly before the next big rain storm. It is rare to find such enthusiastic and hard-working contractors these days and is a significant benefit and hallmark of the excellent service you will receive when choosing this contractor. We plan to use Paul Wright Contracting to re-roof our garage in about a year or two. We also highly recommend them to anyone looking for any type of roof repair work or replacement.
Description of Work: Complete tear off of existing old roof, including double tear off in selected areas; removal of siding to correctly place roofing shingles, complete rebuild of flashing/material around chimney, new gutter guards on front and back.
