Sad to say, started out well- owner is a lovely person, but things went sideways. Perhaps a bigger job than he should have taken on. Project physically started in 2022 and wasn’t completed until mid 2024. Granted, I added another small addition to project before realizing this wasn’t going to end well. Now I have 2 new roofs that were not installed properly, as well poorly framed windows and patio doors with gaps and raw edges. The ridge cap is already bowing. Short work weeks for both himself and his helper. Slow moving is an understatement. Things I wrongly assumed (my bad) were included - I was told “they were not contracted for that”. Painter (subcontractor) sterling painters - used flat paint for entire great room - I imagine to save money. Poor paint job - bare spots. Then there were the billing issues - 3 in fact- brushed off as “oops”. These are just a few things - and I’m not living there yet - I guarantee I’ll find more. Should’ve asked them to come out - but I found a better person to do the work. Shame on Millers roofing.
Description of Work: Very large great room built, smaller addition built, new windows throughout, new roofs on additions. Bathroom remodel, kitchen modification, new furnace (contractor tried to claim rebate for furnace I purchased

He's honorable. Always on time and is good at what he does. It's a family business started by his father so he's carrying on something he grew up with. I wouldn't say he's the cheapest, but the quality of work is definitely worth it.

The work was done quickly, and was less expensive than he thought it would be due to less time required than estimated. It was a good deal for an easy repair. He showed me the worn collars he replaced around the roof vents. The next time it rained the water was not coming between the gutter and the house anymore. Problem fixed. Soon after I noticed a new issue. Water was coming down the side of the house from the soffit. It appears water is somehow getting into the soffit from the roof, which should not be happening based on the repairs that were completed. I contacted the provider again to explain the issue and he said he would be out to look at it in the near future. I didn't hear back so I called him a couple of weeks later, and left a voice mail. No response. I texted him maybe a month later and sent a picture of the issue that I took on a rainy day. He replied with a text apologizing and that the workload had been busy and he would have someone come out the next week. I never heard back. I texted a second time. Never heard back. It's not been over 2 months and nothing. I know that this is a very small job, assuming the additional repairs are not extensive. But after an excellent repair and service for the first issue, this second time around the responsiveness and follow up just are not there, and I still have water going through places on my house that it should not be going when it rains. It will be freezing weather soon and I am afraid if there is water going inside the soffit it could do more damage if it freezes, and so I am forced to find another roofer to come out and look at this issue.
Description of Work: I had water coming between the gutters and the house, which I believe was caused by ice damage from the heavy winter snow. The provider came out, looked over the roof and gutters, and suggested the issue could be fixed with a small metal strip inserted so the water would be forced to enter the gutter. He also suggested that the collars around the roof vents were worn and it might not be a bad idea to replace them to prevent future possible leaks. We agreed on the work, and the price and the date, and he returned and did the repairs.

Needless to say, we didn't use them. We live in a neighborhood with sizable homes (4000 sq ft. range). I have a feeling this company's people drove up, sized up the neighborhood, and sized up their bid. Shameless!
Description of Work: Provided an estimate for siding that turned out to be 3 times the amount of the estimates from two other companies. Really???

They came out to my home immediately following the hurricane and tarped the roof to prevent further leaking and damage. Due to the type of damage to my home (missing a roof), Jason was able to install the new roof, vents, windows and siding in a very timely manner. Their workmanship was very good and were very professional.
Description of Work: Replacement of flat roof lost due to Hurricane Sandy. Installed (3) new windows, and new siding that was also damaged due to the hurricane.

I really like them; they were very thorough when they came to do the estimate. They started in my attic where there were issues with the ventilation. They were here about 2 hours to go over that with me; other roofers I dealt with seemed to be on the clock. They were very polite and had the same crew; they are a smaller company so they have the same group. The owner was here, but not every day. In the contract they specified that they would clean up after work every day; which they did, I only found about 2 nails under my house so they were very thorough. They did very good workmanship; everything looks like a million bucks; they re-flashed my chimney and everything looks like and everything was done in a craftsman-like way. They also replaced skylights in my sun porch roof and they were helpful with re-doing the interior woodwork. They also repaired some minor water damage for me. The other roofer I looked at was lower in price but you get what you pay for. They came to begin work a day after I called and they were recommended by another roofer. They started and finished on time.

My roof looks beautiful. The roof was supposed to take 5 - 10 days to do. However we had many days of rain, thus the project took over 3 weeks to complete, no fault to Miller Roofing. Halfway through the job they asked for 50% of the costs and the final payment was due at the close of the job. This is much nicer than other builders who ask for half of the money up front before they start. Their estimate was $19,725 and that's exactly what they charged me. They did not go over their estimate. They all are very honest and easy to work with. All the roofers were very nice and accomodating. I HIGHLY recommend Miller Roofing for any roofing jobs.
Description of Work: I had a cedar shake roof that was 26 years old and it was deteriorating badly. Miller Roofing tore off the cedar shakes, etc., then put plywood on the roof, covered the plywood with sheath, then put down GAF Timberline Shingles. They cleaned up daily and took the trash to our local dump. I have a very large home and a difficult roof with a lot of dormers, steep pitches and angles, etc. It was a hard job and they handled it nicely.
