+ -1 moreContacted to ask about step repair. Answered the call immediately which is the only positive. Must have had an off day and took it out on me. Said it was near the end of the season - which I knew - and said only giving estimates and I should have called sooner. Call escalated from that point. He was very rude and didn't even allow me to say anything. Lost out on potential business as I probably would have asked for that estimate.

Description of Work: This is a follow-up to our conversation. as per our conversation, i would like my deposit back. The reason we mutually agreed to terminate the contract is: - you stopped by on 3/16/16 to provide and proposal - I agreed and set a deposit 06/06/16 which you cashed - i heard nothing until i initiated conversation end July or beginning Aug. I told you I was going on vacation 11 Aug. I asked if you could make the concrete fix when I was away. You happily agreed as long as I had a hose and an electric outlet. I do. You agreed because we wouldn’t be able to use the concrete of 7 days - As we never met, I asked for a quick walk through so we both understood the ask. I work from home so am home pretty much all day. You agreed. - I called Monday 08 Aug. You acted like we never spoke. You were pretty much yelling at me until I got annoyed. You apologized and told me you had a vehicle accident and you “never talk over a customer”. You said you would call and give a 15 min window that you were coming - I leave Thursday morning and it is Tuesday COB. When I called to schedule time, you told me why do we need a walk through as I know what to do. Then 10 seconds later tell me you must meet me. The 10 seconds later tell me you think it’s a bad idea to do the work when I am out. - then 10 seconds later tell me to cancel the deposit if I am not happy

+ -1 moreExtensive project. For the first phase, they demolished front stoops, poured a new porch, steps and sidewalk. They, then excavated a portion of our backyard. They poured a 15x45 ft. patio. It is absolutely gorgeous. They even put curved steps in. They are very accommodating. For example, they had to put a hot tub pad within the structure of our back patio. A shed pad was also poured. They just finished the demolition and excavation of a small driveway. Including, redoing the driveway and putting in a parking pad. They completely reconfigured the driveway. It was such extensive work, that they came in different phases. It was always a delight to see these gentlemen come back. We are so happy with their work that we even gave them restaurant gift cards in addition to their pay. They always listened and thought about the best way to get the job done. They were very conscientious about water to make sure drained away from the house. I absolutely love the results and they were so nice that I am sad to see them go. We highly recommended them.

+ -1 moreMy front steps were falling apart and the front porch sides were collapsing. The contractor tore up the entire area including the front steps and porch with a backhoe. He laid the forms and had concrete pored . And laid top soil and filled in the holes at the steps and in the yard.
Description of Work: Replaced the front porch and steps of my residence.

+ 0 moreAfter having my sewer line excavated and replaced by a plumbing contractor (who does not do concrete work) I had M. Hanna and Sons replace a concrete patio that had to be removed along with some sidewalk. The plumber backfilled the site with stone, but it was not at the correct grade and was uneven. Hanna had to remove and level the stone to properly set forms and pour the new concrete. The price was lower than I expected which was a pleasant surprise. They showed up when promised and did an excellent job. The wall enclosing the crawl space was previously existing, but poorly constructed and crumbling. Michael Hanna advised that a footing with rebar be installed for the new wall I wanted him to build. There is now a solid foundation for the new wall he built which should last for a very long time. The crew was professional and obviously took pride in their workmanship. I will call them for any concrete work I need done in the future.
Description of Work: Replaced sidewalk and patio area after an outside sewer line repair by another contractor. The work also included pouring a footing and building a small block wall to enclose a crawl space under house/porch.
