After setting the intention of finishing my basement, I knew I was going to be meeting with at least a dozen GCs in the Lehigh Valley area. As a homeowner, this is a massive investment so I was very careful in my selection process. After meeting with John Zyskowski, it was very clear to me that he was a level above all the other GCs that I met with. John was one of the very few that had a strong professional background as a GC in home building. And for what he was offering in our agreement, the pricing was very reasonable. I was very specific with him that I wanted a soundproof basement from the rest of our house, so that I could enjoy my home theater sound system without bothering people upstairs, and he absolutely delivered on that. Other aspects like the plumbing for the full bathroom were very complex, but with Johnâ s experience it was no issue for him. He is very easy going and friendly. He will never put pressure on you as a client and will listen to what you want most out of your finished basement, that was what I appreciated most. I highly recommend setting up a meeting with him.

John Z and his crew did an amazing job and brought our dream basement space to a reality. They also built a wall-out from the basement and increased the value of our property substantially. We are absolutely thrilled with John and so happy with our choice to hire him for our basement remodel! He started and finished our job when he said he would, had himself or his employees at our house working every day (even an occasional Sunday!) and was quick with attaining appropriate permits/inspections. John was flexible with us as we made changes to our plans and offered suggestions/guidance when we asked for it. Now that the project is complete, he has come back several times to help with final adjustments/additions upon our request to make sure we are completely satisfied with the outcome. The finished product is beautiful. If you are looking for an amazing contractor we highly recommend John Zyskowski. We found John listed on Home Advisor. He remodeled our daughter's basement. John put in a bathroom, bedroom, and living room area. My husband is a cabinet maker. He is a perfectionist and not the easiest man to work for. He could not believe the quality of John's work. John's attention to detail, immediate return of all calls, and overall professionalism was something we had never experienced to that degree. John is simply amazing!!

This was a very professional and well done job by John and team. He knew what needed to be done, he had a project plan and schedule and he gave great advise to me the customer. The basement was finished in 6-8 wks as described. His staff was committed to the project, John gave great insight on options and has lots of experience on what works and what does not.
