OK. The closing was somewhat overwhelming partly due to the seller's reps being noisy and difficult and my agent seemed unsure how to handle this.

Tom Demshock, (Owner/Realtor of Fishburn Realty) helped us find a home when we relocated to the Lehigh Valley in early 2009. Our one priority for the house we bought was that we wanted something that would sell well in case we were transferred out of state again in the next couple years. We relied heavily on his opinion of the area and value since we were unfamiliar with the local market. We found a great home, negotiated quickly and had been very happy. One year to the week that we moved in, we learned we were relocating again.. this time to Germany. The last thing we wanted to do was get the house ready for sale at the same time we needed to focus on getting reestablished in Germany. We notified Tom what was happening, and that "sometime later in the year" we would need to list the house for sale. Tom started networking immediately, and within 2 weeks, (months before we anticipated even listing the house) he had 2 prospective buyers who wanted to see the house. Within that 2 weeks, we also had a contract on the house. Tom managed the entire post-contract through closing stage for us, since needed to leave the country days after the contract was signed. He offered practical suggestions on how to make it easy on us so we wouldn't need to return for closing, nor find a closing agent or notary in Germany. He managed repairs to the house to comply with new codes for occupancy permit and even loaned us a car for the days after which we sold our vehicles. It was fantastic and could not have been easier. Tom has those amazing qualities that make him an outstanding agent: knowing everyone, remembering details, ceaselessly networking, always available, immediatly responsive...and always always selling your home!
