Very well. We called in the morning and the repair man was there within an hour. He was knowledgeable and efficient.

They have always been top notch with servicing, cleaning, etc. They are always on time and efficient. I would recommend to anyone.

The two technicians that worked on our unit were very professional and a pleasure to work with. Our unit had not been maintained for some years so they worked very h****** a very hot day.

The service was fine. The technician knew his stuff and got the thermostat working again just fine. he was friendly and gave me info I needed to help make sure it didn't go out on me again. I would recommend them for their service, but one of the reasons I'm leaving a review is I was hesitant to go with them based on the way they attack negative reviewers on here. I understand that angry customers leave mean reviews, but that the company chooses to attack instead of the taking the high road (and at the same time share information about the transaction itself, which seems like a borderline invasion of privacy) concerns me. Even if they want to defend their business, there are ways to do it without getting personal about customers on here. I'm hoping they read this because I'm a fan of the service I've gotten but still a bit nervous about how I'd be treated if something went wrong and it wasn't my fault. I hope they learn they can set the record straight without going after people.

It went well. After a slightly rocky start with the office, service was good, timely & efficient. The system we had at the time died & it was very hot! They provided a temporary system to get us through the installation of the new system.

They were prompt and did what they have to do.

I think they are very honest and a wonderful company. They are very in-tune to your needs and very prompt. I would highly recommend them. I have a special needs child, and whenever my ac goes down they are right out.

They could not have been nicer! There were two different guys that came and they were so polite and so well mannered. They took care of everything they needed to and then some, I could not have been happier with the service.

When the tech got into the furnace, he explained that it was cracked in one spot and the whole boiler needed to be replaced. Did not actually clean the furnace. Before he left he turned the flame up so for two weeks my furnace has been burning soot, making the house smell terrible and we now have to get the sooty chimney cleaned out (again). We had another company come and look at the furnace. They recommended one part be replaced, and with a good cleaning (no thanks to the soot and Deiter Brothers) my furnace will last at least another 10 years. We are extremely disappointed in Deiter Brothers, a company that we found on Angie's List to have great reviews. We feel they took advantage of us. Although they will give us a partial repayment for the service agreement, we feel they should refund us the entire amount because they didn't actually perform any service for us. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

I have been using Deiter Brothers since moving into my house about 28 years ago. They are generally very good for all my needs. I get automatic oil delivery from them, along with an annual service contract for my heating system. There is one minor issue I recently had with them. Around 1992 they installed a new oil hot air furnace as my old system was failing and inefficient. At the time, they ran the copper oil line along the wall near the floor from the oil tank to the new furnace and covered it in concrete. Ostensibly this was to prevent damage to the oil line. Made sense to me. After my recent cleaning and maintenance they sent me a notice that it was potentially dangerous to have the oil line encased in concrete as the copper could corrode due to the components used in concrete. The cost to replace the oil line was several hundred dollars. If it was OK to encase in concrete in 1992, at Deiter Brothers recommendation, why is it now advised to change? Is it a sales tactic? They could at least say sorry, we erred back in ?92. I don?t think there has been that much of an advance in concrete or copper technology in the last 20 years.

They gave me an estimate, and then second guessed the price. The first price they gave me was $179 with the filter and nossel for me for my furnace tuneup. She then asked where I live and said that the company doesn't service my area. Then they transferred me to another lady after I told them I was going to give them a bad review on Angie's List. The next lady I spoke with did not have any idea what she was talking about, and was trying to sell me propane when all I needed was a furnace tune up. After explaining to her about where I live, she said that she doesn't know where I live and also told me that they don't service my area, although I am only 12 miles away from them. I just felt that the people I spoke with were very unprofessional and didn't know what they were talking about.

Scheduled an appointment as a new customer to get an estimate for a gas boiler and water heater. Also was going to use them for oil delivery service and maintenance. I called and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday at 5:00. I left work early to make sure I was home by 4:30. Nobody ever showed up nor did I receive any phone call. Not a good impression to make on a new customer.

Pleased with the technician's professionalism and manners. Glad to see there are still professionals out there.

Steve Duchlinski was our technician and he was outstanding--could not have received a better guy. I was a little weary about using a large company because you don't know the quality of the technician that will arrive. I originally called a private one-man business, but he was out for a month with surgery. Our AC stopped working. Fan in the house was blowing, but the fan on the outside unit didn't move. Steve looked at it and noticed right away that it was the capacitor. Bill breakdown: $74 for Dispatch/Fuel surcharge; $15 diagnostic; $164 replace capacitor; $25 Angie's list coupon. Paid with AMEX. He also gave me a quote, that I asked for, on an Ecobee thermostat installed: $529 Steve was very helpful and noticed that the air was not blowing as forceful as most. He looked into it for free and changed our air filter at no cost. It helped a little. He also made sure our fan was set to high, and it was. We had someone check this out last year and they said everything was working as it should. It was a nice gesture. Steve was also very helpful in answering my questions about all the "new" internet enabled thermostat options. I called on a Wednesday just before noon. I talked with a nice lady who said they could have someone out around 4:30 (as an approximate time). I was running late and didn't arrive until 4:50, and they left a note on my door saying they were there. They also called me, but I forgot to bring my cell phone. I called the next day per their request on the note, and they sent Steve out in about 30 minutes. I was very impressed with the speed of service. Once again, Steve was excellent. Very professional, friendly, not pushy, and seemed trustworthy. He was at our house for about 1.5 hours between fixing the unit and answering all my thermostat questions. I only gave them a "B" for price as I wasn't really able to compare their prices with anybody else, but I imagine they are slightly higher as they have more overhead costs; but that also results in better customer service/responsiveness.

They are very responsive if you have an issue.

The guy showed up on time. I showed him where in our home the air handler was, and the heat pump outside, and the thermostat, etc. He was extremely thorough. He considered the size of our existing ductwork, the space available for the installation of the new air handler, how many windows were in the home vs. the size of the rooms, etc. He was by far the most thorough in considering all of the factors when deciding what kind of system would be an ideal replacement. He answered all of our questions, and explained in detail what he was doing. He told us he would give us an estimate for an ideal system, and a few lower priced alternative estimates as well. He took my email address, as well as our home address. It's been two weeks. Not a peep. I emailed Deiter Bros through their website, asking what happened. (We have since arranged for another service to do the installation) I received an immediate response from Mr. Deiter himself, apologizing for dropping the ball. Their Angies List reviews gave them high marks for service, so I guess this was just an isolated incident. Too bad, because this guy really seemed to know his stuff.

This serviceman was professional in his appearance, courteous in his interactions with us, and extremely knowledgeable in his profession. He seemed to know exactly what he was doing, and did what needed to be done in what I believe to be a very reasonable amount of time. The next day when we called because we didn't think the new thermostats were working properly, he went the extra mile to to take the time to explain to us how our radiant heating system worked since it is very different from what we were used to. We were so confident with this serviceman that we didn't hesitate to purchase the annual service contract as well.

The service performed was successful. Service was scheduled within a few days of placing the call and the technician was prompt & professional. The job was performed well and appears to have solved the vapor problem. I had two issues with my experience, the first was the length of time it took to get a call back when I initially called to place the service call. I was promised a call back within an hour and after waiting the entire day I eventually had to call again & request to speak to the scheduling department. When I asked why I had not received a callback, I was told that she was really busy and had not had a chance to call me yet. My other issue is with the price that I was charged. $335 for a service technician to come out to the property, toss a powdered chemical on the oily dirt area, speak to the tenant for a few minutes and leave (total time at the location, less than 15 minutes) seems like highway robbery to me. At the time that I was quoted the price of $335, I did not realize what the solution entailed so I did not question the charge...I honestly thought that there would be alot of labor involved in the remediation of the oil spill, etc. Overall I am not complaining about my experience, they solved my problem and for that I am happy.

I had three estimates and Deiter Brothers came in the lowest and I had the most detailed information of the work being done from them. When I accepted the bid we agreed upon a start date. They started promptly and completed it in the time they had planned. They were courteous and they worked hard and fast to get the job done. They actually should have given themselves a couple more hours time because some mistakes were made in the rush that they had to correct and had the time been given to the workmen I think some reworking would have been prevented. In the end all was well and done properly.

The job went as scheduled and was completed in one day. I couldn't have asked for a better installation and am very pleased with the end results. All the people at Deiter bros. were very professional and i would highly recommend there services.

I would use them again in the future if I have to.

THE WORK WAS EFFICIENT AND PROFESSIONAL.I AM VERY SATISFIED. THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS IN THE PRELIMINARY AGREEMENT THAT CONTAINED AN AMBIGUOUS WORDING ERROR THAT THEY THEMSELVES DID NOT UNDERSTAND. ALSO, I WAS NOT PLEASED WITH THE FACT THE AC UNIT WAS NOT FASTENED DOWN. IT WAS JUST PLACED UPON A PLATFORM. I THOUGHT THAT IF IT WAS BUMPED IT COULD BE KNOCKED OVER. THEY SAID THAT IT WOULD NOT MOVE BECAUSE IT WAS HEAVY. I THINK THAT THIS IS STANDARD INSTALLATION PROCEDURE WITH MOST COMPANIES NOW. BUT THIS IS A BIG CHANGE FROM 22 YEARS AGO WHEN MY FIRST ONE WAS INSTALLED. THAT ONE WAS CEMENTED IN BY DEITER BROS. BY THE WAY. I WOUND UP FASTENING MY NEW UNIT TO THE EXTERIOR BASEMENT WALL WITH A METAL STRAP. OVERALL, THEY DID A NICE JOB AND EVERYTHING RUNS WELL. I RECOMMEND THEM.

The person who had installed was very helpful in explaining the difference between the different products. The installation was done really well. They had left some parts behind. Overall, they did a neat job. It was clean and working well. They offered to come back and explain things since my wife and I weren?t able to be here when they did the installation. We were trying to schedule a time with them but they were willing to come back and explain everything. I would use their services in the future too.

It did take a couple weeks after calling to get the installer to make the house call, he was out sick, and they only have one trained installer. When he did arrive he was well versed in the thermostat. There was an issue with the unit that I bought online, but he was able to exchange my defective unit for a new working unit as a warranty swap. He also installed a spacer plate behind the thermostat because my original thermo was larger in size, and the ecobee thermo is much smaller. Total install time was about 3 hours for the thermo & control unit at the air-handler. Very professional work.

In the simplest terms, got my AC running after a "master plumber" that also did AC/Heat took us to the cleaners during the middle of a heat wave. This guy had no idea how to fix an AC. Finally, on Friday evening, called Deiter Bros. Tech offered to come out to our home by 6:00. It was still very hot out and we told him just to wait until the next morning so he wouldn't roast. Arrived before 8:00, had it fixed in 40 minutes and we have had no problems since. Wish we had called them first! Could have saved ourselves lots of money and heartache.
