Deiter Brothers Heating Cooling Energy

They are a little pricey. I have a 3 zones, it is a complicated system, it is not the easiest thing to deal with. The house is 28 years old and it is the original furnace.

No issue. I was just hoping to get a new customer discount but did not.

The technician was at our building within the hour and diagnosed the problem. He went to his truck and had the right part which when replaced we had hot water! The technician was polite and courteous which matches our experience with their office staff! I would hire them again if I ever needed any more work. I have signed up for their maintenance plan too!

It went very, very well?thanks to the expertise and professionalism of the Deiter Bros. team. They listened closely to what we wanted and followed through on time and on budget. Plus, the new system is whisper quiet?quite a big difference from the previous system. Also---and this is a BIG bonus--our summer electric bills were cut almost in half! Very energy efficient Lennox units. The new system will pay for itself in about 3 years?and still be under warranty? a very important value-add for our home investment.

They come every year like clock work and keep our 25 year old oil furnace running and optimizing our 16 year ductless air conditioning running at peak efficiency. We had another vendor we used on both systems and they constantly were making mistakes and I would have to have them come back. I see the Deither Brothers guys once a year and don't have to call on them till the following year. More simply put they do great work and I would recommend them.

Quick and easy to schedule visit, Deiter called in advance and arrived as scheduled. Bob was very courteous and clear in explaining the issue and options for addressing the problem. He even pointed out another unrelated issue with my overflowing dryer vent, which happens to be located adjacent to the AC unit. I was very pleased with the overall service experience.

JACK WICKHAM WAS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE IN HIS THOROUGH CLEANING WORK, AND IN TAKING THE TIME TO ADDRESS MY CONCERNS AND EDUCATE ME ON MAINTAINING THE SMOOTH OPERATION OF MY BURNER.

Weather changed dramatically from about 50 degrees to what felt like 100 degrees with 100% humidity. Many air conditioners in my development were failing including mine. I called another Angie's List provider around May 23 who I have been a customer and used for a year. They couldn't come until June 8th. Right after Memorial day on May 31 I saw that Deiter Bros. had a coupon and called them. Even though I'm a new customer they came 2 days later on June 2. The person was prompt and worked quickly. I was so grateful that they came so quickly and will definitely use them again.

They did a great job. Polite and thorough, they even went out and purchased a new part for me. I was very happy with the work done.

I couldn't be happier with the service! I scheduled an appointment through this site. They even called me when something came available sooner. Technician showed up on time and was very polite and professional. He found the problem right away and showed me the issue. I was able to have the problem fixed right then and there! Not only that but the technician gave me tips on how to keep things running smoothly. I will definitely be giving them a call when it is time to have my A/C serviced! Thank you Deiter Brothers!!!!

I called Deiter Brother on Saturday 2/19 and left a message. I did not get a call back until Monday, 2/22 which I did not have an issue with since I know a lot of businesses are not open on the weekends unless it is an emergency. The main reason I called Deiter Brothers is that they are a Lennox HVAC dealer and they had a high rating with Angie's list . I previously had two HVAC companies (non Lennox dealers) come out to my home and both of them told me that I had an issue with my heat exchanger and it would have to be replaced. They did tell me that because my home was less than 10 years old and all Lennox HVAC heat exchangers are guaranteed for 15 or 20 years that it should be under warranty; however one of them did look up the serial number for us and inputted it into Lennox' s system and it came back that it was not under warranty. He told me that I should work with a Lennox dealer and that as long as we could prove that they system was only 10 years old, we should not have a problem getting the part under warranty. I know the labor on this part is extensive and expensive, but it is still less expensive than replacing the entire heating unit if the part is under warranty. We did not want to get a new unit because we plan to move so finaciallly it made more sense to just replace the heat exhange. When I spoke to ASHLEY at Deiter Brothers and explained all this she told me that she would have to send a service guy out to diagnosis the problem and that she could not quote me any cost over the phone because the TWO previous companies we worked with may not be correct. When I asked her if I would still be charged the $ 79.00 service fee if I opted not to purchase anything from Deiter Brothers she said I would. I told her that was a little unfair since I knew what the problem was already. She was very short with me and told me that was the way it was. I then started asking her if Deiter Brothers could work with Lennox to see if we could insure that the part would be warrantied if we could prove the heater was under 10 years old and she said that they could do nothing about that. I told her that didn;'t seem fair. If they are a Lennox dealer they should be able to work directly with Lennox especially if we could prov e the unit was under 10 years old but she didn't seem to care and was rather rude with her short answers. She seemed to want to get off the phone as quickly as possible and was not understanding of my situation at all. For that reason alone, I would would NEVER RECOMMEND this company nor would I chose to work with them even if they were the reasonably priced. Just hearing the attitude of the person they have representing their company makes me wonder why they are rated so highly to begin with. I just felt she could have been more understanding of our situation and she could have tried to work with us. It is a shame for Deiter Brothers that they have such a rude person speaking to customers. She definitely had the attitude that she didn't need my business so it lead me to believe that I am just a number. I guess that is the kind of service I would come to expect from a large company so be prepared that if you use this company, you too will just be another "number. "

The technician (544) was on time, very courteous and thorough. He was extremely knowledgable and very pleasant to deal with. Answerd all my questions. Would highly recommend.

He was unprofessional in presentation and actions. For example, while examining the unit, he was cursing. He showed limited effort at performing duties stated on the Angies List promotion. I am not confident that he performed the duties he checked off as being completed. In the end he stated that he was unfamiliar with with Trane products. He viewed the Deiter Bros supply manual and was unable to locate the part he thought was needed. I am most disturbed that he drilled a hole in my pipe to check for gases. He did not solicit my approval prior to making this permanent alteration to my pipe. After he left my home, I had to contact a service person who fixed the problem. In the interim, the Deiter Bros technician returned to my home to retrieve his forgotten jacket. He and the new service technician briefly talked about the problem which was TOTALLY different from the Deiter Bros technician . I am highly dissatisfied!

They came out back in September sometime. I didn't do any comparison shopping. No additional fees.

Provider was very accommodating scheduling the appointment, showed up on time, easy to work with and happy with service.

It went very well! The repair person was very professional and came very quick. It onkly took a few minutes to fix.

He came on time and was very friendly and answered all my questions this is our first home and i felt very confident with his answers

The only negative was the cost of extra refrigerant. The refill was declined because a minimum of one pound was required. That is the reason for the low price rating. Otherwise the service was excellent and the technician answered all my questions.

We've been using them for awhile, maybe a couple of years. Its Greenworks and it turned into DETER Brothers. They've been great. They've been really good. They're prompt and a little pricey. They were very professional. They usually is lower than any other ones. I don't have any contracts with them because I own my own tanks so I can go any place I want. A lot of the propane, you have to be on a contract and you have to stay with the company. I can go anywhere I want so I choose them. It works and it always functions. They're very good with responsiveness. They are open 24/7. I'll continue to use them. if they continue the way they are I'll absolutely use them.

The gentleman came out and refused to do the work. As soon as I realized that he was so set on not doing the service i did not even try and argue with him. I did pay the company the dispatch fee separately since he did take the time to come out. However, the serviceman's demeanor and just his unwillingness to communicate in a business like manor was not wonderful. I will not even consider this company for any reason in the future.

Purchased a $189 Oil Furnace Tune-Up deal through Angie's List and this company came out within a few business days to perform the work as expected. Will definitely use them again in the future.

We have a classic cedar A-Frame home that was originally built with baseboard electric heat. The original owner had also installed a nice propane Vermont Castings stove to provide supplemental heat as well. When we moved into the home in September there were some very humid days and we also found the electric baseboard heat ran pretty much non stop as the temperatures dropped in November and early December. Not wanting to spend a fortune on propane or electric baseboard heat we decided to go with a heat pump to provide both heat and air conditioning for the home. We contacted Deiter Brothers based on a recommendation from another contractor we used to replace our electrical panel. We spoke with Dave who then scheduled an appointment to come up and evaluate and measure the rooms of the home to take the data back in order to calculate heat load and to size the proper unit for the space. The original idea had been to use a ductless system in the home but based on the unique characteristics of the space (As mentioned, it's an A-Frame with a very high open area with a loft in the back) it was clear that would not have been a good choice. Dave then returned to the home after calculating the loads with a colleague Dennis who reviewed the task of installing supply and return ducting for the system. Dennis did an outstanding job in determining the best locations for the supply and return ducts so that they would have minimum impact on the look of the home. We decided to go with a 17 SEER Lennox system. The job was scheduled for early January which was just before it began to get extremely cold in this area. The job took a couple of days to complete including the duct work installation as well as the installation of the air handler and condenser unit. Dennis did an amazing job with the installation of the ducting. The rest of the team did an outstanding job and were really great to have working in our home. They took great care to install keep things clean and neat, installing a carpet protector everywhere they would be working. They did a fantastic job in all phases of the installation. They finished the job on a Friday evening and the next evening we experienced an issue with the operation of the unit. We discovered Saturday evening that the system was not going into defrost mode so it began to ice up. We called for service and we received a call back from a member of the installation team. He talked us through how to shutdown the heat pump system for the evening and use the auxiliary heat for the evening so the system would not be damaged. They then came back up here the next afternoon which was a Sunday and tweaked the charge in the unit and made a few other setting adjustments to get the system running properly again. What service! We were so impressed with their professionalism and desire to get things working properly for us. The system they installed has worked great to provide heat during the extremely cold winter we just experienced. When the heat pump was unable to bring the home up to temperature the auxiliary heat worked great to keep the house warm and comfortable. As the temperatures have moderated this spring the heat pump has been able to efficiently manage the load and we have been very comfortable and happy. We are very satisfied with the work and system and are very glad we were able to have Deiter Brothers do the work. They are an outstanding company and their entire team does great work. We could not be more satisfied and pleased and highly recommend them.

My parents who are in their 80's and not in good health lost their heat on a Sunday night. I called first thing Monday morning and had a repairman at their house within an hour and a half. We were fearing the worse but the tech wasted no time diagnosing the problem. He was very professional and explained the problem and showed us the part that he replaced when he was done. With in a short time it was fixed and the house was heated up before the bill was paid! He recommended the furnace be cleaned and said he couldn't do it but that when we call to schedule we should ask for a service contract that will save us 15% on future parts! We couldn't be more satisfied!

Service was prompt, they detected the problem in 15 minutes and replaced pump in 1.5 hours. Pump cost $157 and $498 for labor.
