Description of Work: Jane Chaikowsky examined and appraised a diamond wedding band and diamond earrings for me. She was ready for my appointment on time and was very friendly and professional. Her prior estimate of the cost of the service was just as she had told me when I made the appointment. I would definitely recommend her services and would go back to her in the future.

Documented results properly in an exemplary report that had all required references. Answered any questions properly. Overall it was a great experience having a cherished family heirloom appraised for replacement value, i.e., insurance purpose.

+ -1 moreI felt very comfortable with Jane. She was open and friendly, while retaining the ability to be honest and frank about my jewelry. I did not expect to learn as much as I did about diamonds and jewelry; I asked many questions when I did not understand terminology, and Jane was never condescending. She took her time with the appraisal, repeated measurements, and even opened some books so that we could track the pricing of my stone over the last 18 months and evaluate the price paid. Overall, a surprisingly positive experience; it was clear that Jane took pride in her business, and I will be recommending her to friends.
Description of Work: Jane's office is just above Bethlehem Brew Works, in The Shoppes at Main Street Commons. I was a walk-in customer in need of an appraisal of a loose diamond and engagement ring mounting, and she recommended that it be mounted before appraisal. She placed calls to several local shops with bench jewlers that she personally knew, and found one that would do a same-day mounting for me. Once mounted, the appraisal of my ring took about an hour.
