He moved the flowers from the 4 beds into 1 in the back yard. When I asked him why he did that, he was supposed to get rid of them all his response was, "what was I supposed to do with them?" I just wanted them gone. I signed a contract for the summer for him to take furtalize and take care of the lawn. He did a wonderful job with that. He did a great job with mulching and triming the trees in my front yard, the first year. The second year I had complaints about the mulch coverage and he told me that he used mulch from another job and if I wanted him to use more it would cost more (not in the contract). When I tried to contact him at a later date with a question about how to care for the Roses he did not return my call. I left 3 messages and no response. (I had called him for another reason and he told me if I don't hear from him I should call again). Resently, I called about the roses and I spoke to a person who said he would give me a call the next day. It is two months later and I still have not heard from him. When you can get a hold of him, he treats you like you are his most important client. His work is good. His follow through, not so much. I would not hire him again because he does not return calls...He even says if he does not return the call to call again. Also the problem with the mulch was, in my opinion, unprofessional -- it shouldn't matter to the client where or how he gets the product, just that the job gets done the way it is promised for the price that is quoted.

From the beginning, I have a sense the owner/operator is professional, low-key, knowledgeable, and prefers to work with nature rather than against it. He also tests the soil before treating it, using labs from one of state universities. He gives down-to-earth advice without being pushy. I also get the sense that he really enjoys working with our lawn. I decided to use him for ongoing treatment of our lawn. Our large back lawn has a lot of shade from trees, so we've always had a tough time growing grass, but the fescue he planted about a month ago is really doing well.

He is great. He is very knowledgeable and has helped with a lot of projects. He made a very raggedy looking yard look very good. He is very informative and responds very quickly.
