I met with Raymond to get a quote for a job. After we came to an agreement, he sent me a contract. I signed it and sent it back to him. After that, I never heard from him again. I called him many times to follow up. I texted him as well, he never got back to me. Very strange and unprofessional.

Ray Alpha originally installed a new roof on my home about 10 years ago. During Hurricane Sandy we lost approximately 12 shingles and Ray and his crew were out at my house in a very timely manner and completed the repair within an hour. Ray also took the time to come into my home to view the water damage caused by the missing shingles, just to make sure there weren't any additional problems with the roof. Ray was very professional, cost was extremely reasonable, work exceptional and I would highly recommend Alpha Construction. As a matter of fact, Ray and his crew will be back to my home home in the spring to replace four windows.

Ray Alpha has been taking care of my old slate roof for many years, and was the logical choice to re-roof my 3-bay cement block garage, as I’ve had good experience with him in the past. I always have preferred hiring small local family-owned companies, rather than large companies with frequently unreliable subs. Ray came and estimated $3000 for the roof, with time and materials for the downspout, fascia, and soffit . The plan was for him to remove the old gutter, and for me to scrape and paint it to be re-installed. However, it was clearly beyond redemption, so we agreed to replacement, adding to the time and materials. Rain, rain and more rain delayed the start. His son worked with him. Ray checked the house roof and replaced two slates. They started on Wed. 9/21, more rain led to some partial days, and they finished on 9/27. Their work followed the plan above, except the gutter, as described. His son will return to complete a top coat on the fascia & soffit once the world dries out a bit. That will be an additional labor cost, but I’m supplying the materials. Ray is reliable, efficient, knows his stuff, and will probably also be hired by a neighbor who had hurricane damage to his roof.
