We hired Articulate Granite Design to install granite countertops in our new kitchen. I hired them because I liked the fabricator; he was very professional and knowledgeable. However he was fired/quit (still unclear) soon after we signed our contract and our experience there went down hill fast. Because of the dismissal, it took this small company several weeks for them to get replacements and back on their feet. We understood the staffing issues, but the owner, JulieAnn, was very unprofessional and inept; she was full of empty apologies and was terrible with communication about our project, ie several unreturned phone calls, sob stories, unprofessional attitude, unfulfilled commitments, etc. We expected to have our countertops in the first or second week of May, but after several appointments that were rescheduled, our project was subcontracted to another company(a blessing in the end) and finally installed on June 10. Also, I asked early on to get our money back (we paid half down) but were told we "signed a contract"...but they didn't stand behind their end of the contract. The owner was very unprofessional and not forthright. I would never hire this company again and would discourage others to go there as well. A horrible experience!
