They were very careful and nothing was broken or scratched.

They were excellent. They were very friendly, very professional and very thorough and organized. They had good reviews on Angies List. I think that I had heard that they were reliable and I knew other people had used them. Years ago I knew somebody who worked for them and I thought he was a good guy. He was a trustworthy, hard working person and I knew he had worked for them but that was around 12 years go. I just thought that they hire such kind of people. They were on time, actually they were 15 minutes earlier than the scheduled time which was great which meant that we could get started earlier. They were courteous, professional and I would recommend them.

I liked them. They were on time and they did not break anything. They are not the least expensive movers in the area but I have used a few and so depending on the job that I am doing, I would go back to them. I do not remember how much their service was for. I would price them again before using them because it has been a while since I have used them last. I would certainly go out and get a couple of estimates and see how far off the mark they are depending on the move that I am orchestrating.

Estimate was correct. Showed up ontime. Cleaned up thoroughly.

We were quoted a price over the phone. There was never a visual inspection of the house to see what size truck would be need. When they arrived it was determined that the truck was not big enough. The crew was very professional and worked effeciently but we had to get another truck costing us double what was quoted. It was a big miscommunicatin and very stressful.

We did a local move from two different locations into a single location. South Hills movers quote was a little higher than the other moving companies, but their moving time frame seemed to be better than the others and they also offered to box our new mattresses. The salesperson Ron Martin came to my town home and reviewed all the items that we needed to be moved. He came with a laptop and typed in what was going and not going. He also offered to box the mattresses which is extra and then he sat down so that I could provide him with a list of the items in the storage unit so that we could get a more accurate estimate for the move. He explained that a two day move would be better; one day for the town home and the next day for the storage unit. We liked this set up better. He said that it would be less stressful on us and the movers, hence the higher price for the transportation cost for them to drive up here two times. But, it was worth it. We were very glad to have done it in 2 days as opposed to all in one, which the other companies had offered for a slightly lower price. Otherwise the actual moving cost was comparable to the other companies I received estimates from. My only complaint would be that Ron's actual assistant Bonnie was out of town, but her replacement who explained everything to me asked that I send the documents to Bonnie via email. However, I never heard from Bonnie. I needed to follow up with Bonnie and she was able to check that she had everything and all was good. I must say that Kelley was great throughout the move by checking with us during the move that the movers were doing a good job and if we had any problems or questions. My only other complaint would be that Ron didn't know that the movers carry rolls of plastic to cover the stairs. I wish I had known that info so that I wouldn't have worried so much before the move since we put down new carpeting on the stairs. For the actual moves, Joe the driver was great. They arrived between 8:30 and 9:00. He went through the town home and looked at what needed to be moved and he and his crew worked so well. Despite the fact there was snow and ice everywhere they did a great job protecting my floors and carpeting with the roll plastic that sticks to the carpeting so no one would trip. They also had a system where 2 men only worked outside and the other 2 worked inside in order to keep the floors extra clean, even though they had plastic, pads and cardboard down on the tile, wood and carpeting. Joe even saved us some money, by saying that he could wrap our mattresses in plastic would was better than the boxes since it was snowing during the move. I really appreciate the movers knowledge of moving and knowing what would be better for us based on the weather conditions. By wrapping the mattresses in plastic saved us some money since we didn't have to pay for boxing them. All our furniture arrived and was placed exactly where we needed it and they even helped us fix a swiveling rocker that we wanted to swivel again. The next day was the storage unit move and the men worked very well moving out items that were stacked from top to bottom. They worked meticulously considering how cold it was. All the boxes and furniture arrived safely into our home and without any trouble they were able to place everything where we wanted it to go. Joe and his partner were very professional and took pride in their job. We have moved 5 times in 10 years and this was our best move yet. Also, the actual moving cost came in less than the estimate, which of course made us very happy. We got the best movers for a great price!

South Hills Movers was outstanding from inital contact to final closeout. The person who came to estimate had online tools to help determine the amout we had to move (he said we had ALOT). He gave us tips to speed the process to help reduce costs (e.g. staging boxes, disassembling beds, etc). However he also said that they would be happy to do whatever we needed (e.g. they disassembled our son's very large loft bed). Moving day everyone showed up on time, introduced themselves, and got right to work. They rarely took a break and worked like crazy. These guys really work hard and earn their paychecks. They treated all our items as if their own - very careful, no damage (amazing for a whole house move). The move took 2 days - and everyting was perfectly smooth. They went above and beyond - e.g. we forgot about our shed and back patio - but they said no problem - they gathered things from the shed and packed them for us. At the new house, we labled all the boxes and rooms well, and they took the time to put things exactly where they needed to go - even our storage room -was labled and they tried to put boxes according to area (e.g. Christmas, each child's boxes, etc). At the end, they came in under their estimate (which was on par with 2 other quotes we got). We used them once before for a much smaller move, but would HIGHLY recommend them again. Otstanding people with a detailed focus on customer serivce.

I think south hills movers did a great job. I was so nervous about every aspect of moving, but I think the money we spent on professional movers was well worth it. Not a single thing broken or damaged and a very polite and nice crew. Also had great support from the office who called during the move to check up on progress and a week before to confirm all details. Was also even impressed by the lady who came out to provide the estimate... very professional and explained things very well about the moving/insurance process etc. We got two quotes and south hills did beat 2 men and a truck in price which is why we chose them (plus they have a very good reputation). The only (very small) complaint was it took an extra half hour than quoted, so not a big deal or expense but we did move a ton of stuff ourselves beforehand (clothes, decorations etc). The extra time also could have been because we added a washer/dryer last minute to the packing list. Very smooth from beginning to end. Sales rep, Tammy, was punctual and very helpful suggesting ways to reduce the price. The Driver (Joe) and his crew (Casey, Johnson and Tim) could not have been more professional and pleasant. They arrived on time both days packing everything the day before and moving all the furniture and boxes the next day. They were very careful with the furniture and computer equipment and fragile items but they really hustled. In fact my actual price came in $400 less than my estimate. I am still unpacking boxes but so far not one item shows any sign of damage. Very impressive indeed! Highly recommend South Hills Movers!

They made moving easy!! First when the guy came to give me a price, he was on time and very nice. He gave me tips to help me save money - to have everything packed and ready to go. They called me the day before to tell me what time they will be at my house and they were right on time. A team of 3 guys came and handled everything gently and swiftly. Sleeping sofa, breakfront, big boxes - they took care of it all. Then they asked where we want everything and even re-adjusted some items so we didn't have too! Great movers!

They were great! I used them because a friend had given them a great recommendation and they lived up to it. I would recommend them as professional, good workers and considerate of my possessions.

Move was scheduled at the last minute and they were able to fit us in. We packed most things ourselves except for TVs and dish ware. Movers arrived on time and were very professional. It was more than -10 F on moving day which didn't phase the movers at all. Plus the even shoveled the sidewalk at my new home. Nothing was broken. Overall, I'm very satisfied and would use them again.

We were moving from Carnegie to Gibsonia and talked to several moving companies that were fairly comparable in cost and decided to go with South Hills Movers. We moved the small items ourselves ahead of time and mostly had a house full of large items remaining. They estimated 3 men for 6 hours, and it was spot on. Everything was very professional from the estimate to the move. I was pleased with the service and would definitely use them again.

They were the best movers we have ever had (and we have moved about 6 times)! They were amazing. They were fast, did everything within the time frame they stated, and within the price that was quoted. They handled the furniture so gently, as well.

They did a good job of moving everything within the time frame and budget provided by the estimator. They were late showing up, which they said was due to traffic, which can be understandable, but they never called or anything to let me know of the delay ahead of time. All of the work was performed carefully and professionally. They were very careful moving the piano, and it was obvious that they were very experienced moving this particular type of piano (baby grand).

Everything was done on schedule. I was pleased with the caliber of all the people I dealt with, office staff and movers. The quality of the packing was excellent.. I have not yet totally unpacked everything but so far, damage has been minimal. I thought the cost was a bit high when all was said and done, but I would definitely consider using them again if the situation were to present itself.

Move went very well. The movers were very careful. We had a lot of heavy furniture, and they packed and protected everything. There was no damage. I would recommend them to anyone. The movers were friendly and paid attention to detail and our specific instructions and concerns.

Moved everything according to plan, even the piano. Only a couple of pieces ended up in the wrong room, probably due to trying to keep up with it all. Reassembled all furniture. Even disconnected washer at old house, although this was technically our responsibility. Used them almost twenty years ago , and will definitely use again, should the need arise.
