Response from Pittsburgh Gas Grill & Heater
Dear Ms. [Member Name Removed] - I have thought a great deal about this since our exchange two weeks ago. Please let me expand my comments. You certainly have every right to be angry and disappointed because we did not respond. Your review certainly may harm our reputation that is so, so precious to us...and that, in turn, may cause our family business to lose business in the future. We can not locate a phone message or on-line request so we don't know when you tried to contact us. We were closed due to the pandemic shut-down for a number of weeks and when we reopened it has been on limited hours. We don't have a sophisticated computer system to track service requests (we can't afford that)...we record every phone message and online contact on a yellow piece of paper which is transferred to a work order if a customer approves the estimate. The work order is placed on a large bulletin board and we schedule calls by geography so our service person can get to as many customers as possible each day. Our service person has experienced a health issue and has been off so all of the installations of new products and service calls has fallen on my son. He has been working seven days a week because we don't want to disappoint our customers. I write all of this so you can know a little bit about our business. I think a bad thing about on-line reviews is that a person, in a fit of anger, can leave a review that they might not do if they have a face-to-face relationship with the company - sadly, in our case, we did not do our job and you did not get to know us. We are certainly not perfect. We provide great service to hundreds upon hundreds of customers all over Western Pennsylvania...we are honest in all things - small and large - as our most important asset is our integrity. I hope you will give us an opportunity to earn your business and your respect in the future. Thanks! Rich
