Quoted me upwards of 2700 to do work I didn’t ask to quote. I simply needed a bath faucet cut out, refit and soldered in. If I supply faucet and did other work cost was 675. Come one. I don’t mind paying for service but with this agitated state I went and bought a torch, materials, and did the job myself for 70 bucks in parts/tools (not including the faucet). And it took me 2 hours tops.

Plumber who did the work was fine, he seemed to be competent and finished the job in about 30 minutes. We were charged a little over $500. This seems way overpriced for the amount of work that was needed. We won't use them again!

Called to have a dye test done. Charged us for the visit even though they did not have the adequate equipment for the job (camera was too big for pipe). Still proceeded to tear open a garden downspout as if the test were being completed (the downspout clearly went into a planter) Tried to have us pay 12k for unnecessary excavation / pipe work they said needed done. I would avoid this company if you have an old house.

My ground floor toilet seal was leaking down to the drop ceiling tiling of my basement. On a recommendation and after checking the reviews, I called Mark Allen. I wasn't disappointed. They did a quick, efficient, clean job for $300 total. Now the seal is leak free and I'm a happy camper once again. Thank you.

I had quite a few plumbing concerns at my house and was referred to Mark Allen Plumbing. I called and their office staff was very good: friendly and accommodating. A couple days later the repairman, Brad, arrived on time and was very informative. I walked him through everything I needed done and he walked me through how we was going to accomplish each task. He gave me a quote and stuck by it, even though I know he went above and beyond on a more difficult issue. I would hire them again without question. It is a good feeling to depend on a company that is honest and hard working.

Excellent! I initially had questions about different brands of Water Heaters. I did not want one from the big box stores as they are mid-grade at best. I had three brands in mind and was trying to determine which one was best for my home. The receptionist wanted to make sure I got the answers to my questions. Within in minutes of hanging up, the owner of the company called giving me all the information I needed to make my decision on which tank I should install. He was genuinely concerned with my questions and very forthcoming with information. The actual install went very smooth. Price is competitive with other plumbing companies as well as the big box stores. I ended up with a much better tank than what I could have received from one of the large retail hardware stores. The guys completing the installation were personable, polite, and quick. They left no mess for me to clean. All debris was taken with them when they left. I would definitely recommend Mark Allen Plumbing and Heating and will be using them in the future!

Patrick and Jason came the same morning we called. They diagnosed the problem, which was a faulty heating element, and replaced it with a part they had on the truck. The entire repair took less than an hour. They are knowledgeable and professional and friendly. They made an extra effort to make sure we understood the problem and had answers to any questions we had. I definitely recommend them!

Plumber rep insisted It was a partially clogged line between the first floor toilet and drain going into basement. Despite discussion about Vent lines might be clogged based on Internet search. Plumber rep said between he and owner 30+ years of experience and this was going to be the problem. Toilet removed, large snake run through pipes. Toilet back on. did not solve problem. Only then did the plumber go outside and check breather/vent in driveway. Saw immediate clog. Ran snake(took 15 minutes) problem solved. $960 + dollars later.

We were really pleased with him. He did great work, excellent.

It sucked. They spray painted my floor and driveway before asking. They performed, and tried to sell me on, unecessary services.

Could not properly diagnose the AC problems. Broke again 2 hours after they repaired it. Came back & instead of fixing their mistakes, i was charged twice. So, $160, $100 and i still don't have a working AC. I will be using another company for a new AC install.

January 1st. our furnace stopped working, we called Mark Allen because of the good reviews on here. They came out and fixed a "faulty flame sensor" charged us $250. March 19th, the furnace stops working again at 10pm, we call their number because they put a sticker on our furnace saying 24hr Service, the lady tried to say they weren't operating at that hour. We told her you put the sticker on our furnace our house was freezing and we have a 1 year old so they need to come. The guy showed at 11:45pm and said he thought it was the igniter, but the lights that flash to tell you what is wrong said it was something else but he's the service guy so we said ok. Replaced it, the furnace turned on so he charged us $524. 2 DAYS LATER it stopped working again! Still the lights are flashing the same code as before. We called them and they said if it is something else they will charge us, no thanks! You have been here twice in the last 3 months to work on a 5 year old furnace and it still isn't working, a week later my check still isn't cashed so I will not be giving them any more of my money. I feel like the service guy guessed both times and was just covering over the real problem to get more money and if they came back out I would have to just pay them more.

Excellent!! After kicking Gillece Services out of my house for trying to totally screw me I called Mark Allen. Chuck showed up within a half hour and fixed the problem in 20 minutes for 1/3 of the price the crooks at Gillece wanted. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I would use these guys again for sure.

I called around a few places and Mark Allen was the only contractor who offered to come out to my house to give an estimate. Others wanted to charge me a "service call" fee. So I appreciated them coming out to give me an accurate price so I knew what it would cost me in advance. Work was done on time, products are working fine. Mark (the owner) came out to my house to check all the work and make sure I was/am happy with the work done. Good company and Mark and team are very nice and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

The work went great. Ron Gallagher was in charge of the job and he did a great job. They left my cellar neat and explained what they did and why. They treated me with respect and did not talk down to me - but answered all my questions in a way I could understand. There was some extra work that needed to be done but they did not increase the original quote. I would hire them again and I tell everyone I know what a good job they did.

Service provider was professional, prompt and performed quality work at a price that was less than half of other quotes.

Mark Allen Plumbing and Heating is the only company I go to when I have a plumbing/heating issue. I have been using Mark Allen Plumbing for the past 18 years and have had nothing but the highest quality work done at a reasonable price. Mark himself is a wonderful guy that truly cares about his customers and the work that his company provides. I like that he is honest and upfront about pricing and will go above and beyond to make sure his customer is satisfied. He's truly someone you can trust and rely on. I highly recommend this company for all of your plumbing/heating needs. Truly the best out there!

We already knew the water heater was near or at the end of its life cycle, so we were willing to replace it if needed. Pat came in and investigated the situation. He mentioned that he could attempt to repair the join where it was leaking, but as old as the hardware was, there was no guarantee that would last very long. He gave us a quote to do the replacement, and it was within our budget, so we told him to go ahead. He went back to the shop to get the replacement tank and another team member, they had everything installed and cleaned up by early in the afternoon. They also replaced both the old valves on both the water line and the gas line. Everything was professionally done and they answered all of my questions. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again or recommend them to anyone.

There was less that they could do to fix the problem. The builder had to step in to fix the issue as it was much more complicated. Sad part is, the technician reduced the speed of my cooling fan saying that it has to be medium high. Cooling should be blowing at high and heating at medium. Basics of thermodynamics. Cold air settles and hot air rises. So cold air had to push harder. Foolish me I should have known that. Relied totally on the technician. My other rooms were cooling lesser after he left. So I googled and realized the mistake.I dont think I will hire them again with that level of basic idea about HVAC missing. The guy was really nice and didnt charge anything as he didnt do anything except lowering the speed of my fan.

Professional, nice but I was charged $650 for parts that cost less than $20 at Home Depot plus 2 hours of labor. I am a younger female and I feel like they took advantage of me, lied and said the parts were over a hundred dollars each- it wasn't until I looked them up later and realized. Overall just not trustworthy to me.

Service guy was nice but I was charged $930 to replace a small section of drain pipe. My insurance adjuster said it should have been about $200.

First... love the office folks... they are super to work with. They treated me like I was a high priority, asked the right questions and have always gone above and beyond to get the plumbers lined up to do the work (with my schedule). This is no easy task. Thanks to Mark for inspecting the work. I don't see this often enough. It shows me that this company really cares about quality. The technicians are professional, knowledgeable and have great problem solving ability.
