After getting into a bathroom renovation we could not complete without help, we requested quotes from a few electricians to install a light fixture. Once we knew how much it would cost to bring someone in, we decided to take care of a number of repair projects required throughout the house. JW Peters not only finished the electrical work in the bathroom but replaced or repaired about 10 indoor plug sockets - including a complicated floor mounted one -- and two outdoor ones that were original to the house (circa 1956). It took Don about 1.5 days to complete all of the work. Eric did the quote and was professional and thorough, and Don could not have been more professional and friendly while he completed the work. He cleaned up all his work area, and was even kind to the dog. I would recommend JW Peters for any household electrical work. We have a few others projects coming up, and we will definitely go back to them again.

They came out to look at the job and give an estimate. They sent me an email with instructions to fill out the proposal and mail it in along with a 100 dollar deposit. They cashed the check and I never heard from them again despite contacting them twice by phone. They said they'd look into and get back to me but never did. I purchased 150 dollars worth of parts for them to install that are still sitting in my a garage a year later. Lesson learned. Never pay up front until work begins! I don't know how these guys got an A rating on here. Very disappointed with Angie's List and this so called electrician.

We have had Peters Electric work at our home on multiple occasions and have always been 100% pleased with their work. Often, I even get the same technician. This time, he removed an old outdoor floodlight from VERY high on the outside of my house. He capped that, and in it's place, he installed a motion detector light for me. He even checked to see how tall our ladder is to know where to hang the new light so we can now reach it to change the bulbs! He also put an outdoor electrical outlet on our front porch. He had to cut through the brick in order to do this one, but he did a great job and cleaned up whatever mess was made. I will definitely continue to call Peters when I have electrical needs.

To this day, the heat pump is working great. Mr. Peterson was professional, ascertained the issues quickly and resolved them quickly. He came at the time scheduled and cleaned up so well that you could not a repairman was ever onsite. I have used Petersen Electric several times: he has even replaced the temperature gauge in my water tank which was working improperly (causing the water to stay at one temperature no matter temperature the tank was set) to replacing the motor in my refrigerator. In an all-electric home, these savings do add up. I would defintely recommend this vendor. Anna

They are really great at what they do. They have one man on staff that is really good at diagnosing problems. They are very professional and a top of the line company.

They did the electrical work necessary to install a mini-split heat pump and put in a GFI outlet for a separate purpose. They promptly came out for the estimate and then did follow up to set up an appointment to do the work. They were professional in all their dealings with us as well as with the contractor installing the mini-split. We would definitely contact them again for future work.

Extremely prompt call back from office. Very quick service ~ I am very pleased. It took less than an hour to perform the work needed, and the gentleman that came to my house was VERY nice. The office people are also very nice. I'm terrible at remembering names (sorry), but the lady who answers the phones there is wonderful. I definitely use this company again if I have any problems. I would highly recommend them. (Unsure of exact date of service)

Scheduling: Very reponsive and scheduled easily. They called back couple days before our original date to cancel due to the storm/flooding we had in the area which required priority work (which we competely understood). Rescheduled for the following week. Timeliness: They came exactly on time as they had indicated at 8:00am Work Performed: Repaired/replaced the bathroom lighting fixture in the basement, replaced vent in the 1st floor bathroom, replaced fan/lighting fixture in the living room Professionalism: Very professional, my mother who doesn't speak much english thought they were very efficient during their time at my parents house Cost: $184 for two hours of work. They didn't require immediate payment and just billed us for agreed upon amount. Great job all around and will definitely use again in the future.

Overall J.W. Peters was a pleasant experience. The electrician did a ton of work for a very reasonable price. He got everything done in two days and I was pleased with the service. I would definitely recommend using J.W.

I contacted JW Peters Electrical to install a fan/lighting fixture above my shower in a bathroom that had zero ventilation. I got an estimate and scheduled the installation. JW Peters Electrical was not the least expensive of the places I contacted, but they were available for installation rather quickly. A few other companies had a wait of a month or so and I wanted the work done as soon as possible. The electrician arrived on time and got to work. Within a few hours the job was done. He did a great/professional job and did not leave a mess behind when he was through. My only complaint was that once the light was on you could easily see the wires inside the fan through the vents. I mentioned this to the electrician and he said he would look into some type of filter to block the view of the wiring. I never did hear back from the electrician and ended up finding a solution myself. I would use this company again. They did a quaility job..

I was given an estimate for the work over the phone and a time was set up for the work to be done within a few days. Electrician arrived on time and did a good job. One of the light fixtures was located over a stairway and had to have an outlet box installed. This required a special ladder to reach the work area so this work was scheduled for the following Monday. I was very satisfied with the work and would use this company again in the future.

I called J W Peters and they responded quickly with an appointment to come to my home to install 2 new ceiling light fixtures and 5 new outlets. The electrictian was right on time and did the work we asked him to do along with some good pointers/tips. When he was finished with the job, he cleaned the area where he worked. Very professional. Would use J W Peters again.

On my first phone call John conducted a preliminary assessment and evaluation to determine the scope of my non-emergency service request. He also explained that it would be several weeks before he could get a technician on the job. We scheduled an appointment and John called 24 hours in advance. The day of the appointment John called 30 minutes in advance of the technician's (Sean) arrival. Sean was knowledgeable, prepared, efficient, respectful, and most of all honest. Through his evaluation he determined that the GFI switches needed to be tightened and not replaced. I will definitely use this company again. * One suggestion would be that the techs wear shoe covers when working indoors.

Larry, the estimator was punctual, pleasant and very informative throughout the process. They followed up with me to set a date and time once they were given the job. The crew (I wish my wife got their names) were very punctual, explained what they would be doing and how long it would take. My wife was very pleased with how courteous and professional they were and also how close they were in completing the job based on their time estimates. The quality of their work was excellent including the "cleanup" they performed after the job. I would highly recommend this firm.
