+ -1 moreI haven't decided to go with them yet. I'm getting several estimates. They were very prompt too. He made a drawing and a big long list of all the plants that he would put in and he talked to me a couple of times on the phone about questions I had. He's very professional. For one thing, I got his name off of Angie's List. I called him and he returned my call on the same day and we set up an appointment within a day or two I believe. He was on time. He spent a reasonable amount of time looking at my yard and talking to us. We talked over some ideas and then I explained to him that I was going to get more estimates and he was okay with that and he hasn't pestered me or anything after that. I'm leaning towards him quite a bit.
Description of Work: I just got an estimate from them.

Description of Work: 1. Edge and mulch the front bed along the driveway wall and remove the vine around the light post. Trim the bushes surrounding the house and clean up the trimmings. 2. Create a bed around the tree on the left of the driveway that connects into the bed at the left corner of the house and mulch the newly created bed. 3. Cut down any vegetation on the back hillside from the top of the wall to the crest of the hill. The vegetation will be cut to ground level excluding trees and 3 forsythea bushes which will be trimmed. The existing ground cover will remain untouched. remove any vines that are within our reach (approximately 10' off of the ground) off telephone line that runs into the house without risking damaging the line or creating an unsafe working situation. hauled away and dump any debris from the back hillside, trimmings and dirt and sod that is dug out.

Frank came out to our house on a couple of occasions to discuss the details of the project to a point where we were comfortable with it. We had a very challenging landscape which the team tackled with professionalism and a good attitude. We've had several contractors at our house over time that have not displayed a lot of professionalism - this is not the case with Frank's Landscaping. All of the gentlemen were very polite and professional in both their appearance and work. I feel like we got an excellent value for our money and we'll definitely work with Frank again in the future. Thanks guys for a job well done!

Description of Work: Cleaned out the front and side beds, edged, mulched. Rebuilt the front corner of the rataining wall so it angled in from the street - and graded out the soil.

Description of Work: I emailed the company a photo of what I wanted done. About a week later someone called and I told them I emailed a photo and explained what I wanted. Seemed they had not check email and I was told this was their busy season. When I told them I got their name from Angie's list there was silent on the phone. Have not heard back from them. Did notice they are in our local Pennysaver paper.

+ 0 moreExcellent. Frank's installed a split rail fence with wire screening in my rear, hilly and bedrock filled back yard to contain my large dogs. Whole project took 3 working days. Frank's team were polite, punctual, friendly, professional and delivered within the proposed budget. Frank even graciously dealt with my crotchety neighbor who had questions about fence placement. Would recommend!

+ 0 moreThese steps were a huge project as we were dealing with a very steep hillside and everything had to be manually hauled onto the site. Since our original steps of treated wood (built 20 years ago by another contractor) had completely deteriorated from termite damage, Frank suggested using railroad ties. I was fearful that the finished product would look too rustic, but they did a wonderful job curving the steps and making sure each was level and securely built into the hill. It ended up looking quite attractive. They stuck to the estimate (despite some unforeseen obstacles) showed up when promised and were enthusiastic and cheerful workers. Plus, they thoroughly cleaned up the site and driveway upon completion. I would certainly use them again.
Description of Work: Built 29 steps down our back hills and mulched around a big tree.
