My difficulty was with the woman through whom arrangements were made over the phone. I told her at the outset that I selected the company from Angie's List and needed to get the survey done as quickly as possible in order to establish property lines for landscaping that had been scheduled. Although she was always nice, I was often frustrated with her. I still haven't figured out whether she was simply unresponsive or lacked knowledge of the busines, or whether the surveyor from whom she said she needed to get information every time I asked a question was slow getting back to her, or over-committed, or just disorganized. I placed five or six calls over three weeks asking for pretty basic infomation: What is the charge? When will the survey be done? How far apart are the property line stakes placed when the perimeter is marked? The surveyor himself finally called on the day I was ready to begin contacting other companies. He explained that he had been very busy with jobs for builders, and that he was coming the next day. I was not present when the survey was done, but another contractor working on the property at the time said two men worked less than an hour. The survey appears to have been done perfectly. Drawings arrived in the mail a few days later with the bill and a ballpoint pen.

I had been calling and calling the company that did the original survey, but they would not call me back even when they said they would. This company returned my calls promptly, listened to my rather complicated request, explained very clearly how to show them what I needed (marking on an existing survey). They gave me their estimate, showed up when they said they would, did exactly what I needed even better than I expected, and all this just by phone contact. I was really impressed, compared to the previous company I had worked with.

Came as agreed. Did the work. Set markers. Sent bill.

They responded quickly to my request. I almost didn't even know they were here! They came with a crew and performed the survey. They even uncovered a mistake in the original survey done in 1930 before the house was even built. They provided 4 copies of my survey and 2 copies of a legal description of the easement between the lots so that my attorney could easily write up an agreement between my neighbor and I. Smooth, professional, and efficient was my experience.
