Pete was very, very good. Did the required maintenance and cleaned up well beyond any mess he could have made. He truly left the place better than he found it. Moreover, he took time to go over the two (AC and Furnace) to ensure we were maximizing our usage.

We found a small water leaking recently, since we have home warranty with HSA( Very bad company, will never use again, they try every bit to not reimburse their client), they assigned Beverly to fix this issue. We only paid $75 dollars deductible for this fix. The first plumber refused to cut the dry wall for us and left with our 75 dollars, then Beverly sent another plumber Steve. Steve is the most helpful and professional plumber in my experience, he helped us argue with the insurance company and fixed the leaking perfectly. I would strongly recommend him.

I have used Beverly several times and have been pleased with the work they did. So, naturally, when I had a project within the scope of the services they offer, I called them to set up an appointment. I thought that I made an appointment to have 1 ceiling fan and 3 light fixtures replaced. As it turns out, although this is what I specifically said that I wanted when I called, the appointment was just for a quote. They could not perform the work within the timeframe that I needed so that is all they did -- give me a quote. I am very disappointed that I paid so much for a quote and had to scramble to find someone else who could perform the work in the timeframe that I needed. Lesson learned. Note that I would not have had to pay for the quote if I had used them to perform the work. Unfortunately, after providing the quote (Tuesday), they could not schedule the work until the following week (Monday) and I needed the work to be complete before the weekend. They did offer to call me if they had a cancellation prior to my deadline but I did not want to risk not having the work completed within my desired timeframe. So, I found someone else to do the work.
Description of Work: Provide a quote for replacing 1 ceiling fan and 3 light fixtures.

I have used Beverly before and have always been satisied with their service. This time was no exception. How did it go? Not to good. He found 7 leaks, told me the unit was 30 years old, and showed me the rust. I need a new unit. He put in a pound of coolant did not fix the leaks, why bother and the unit is running just fine for the moment.
Description of Work: The AC technician searched the AC unit inside and out. Very professional. Even working in the rain.

I have asked Angie's List to remove this review. Beverly Services has no record of ever being at this person's home, in fact they do not appear in our system at all. After doing some research on the internet I was able to find their phone number and after speaking with the home owner, he cannot tell me who was at his home or provide me with the quote they left. I do wish to get to the bottom of this and help the home owner if I can, but as I stated we have no record of him ever contacting Beverly Services. Look before you leap!!!!!! This company is very expensive. I did not like the technician's attitude, although he did try to correct it. I did not know about their price structure. I did not have confidence that the technician was solving the problem or running up the bill so we asked him to leave. As it turns out, the second company I called actually talked me through the correction and didn't charge for a service call

Technician arrived on time and promptly set to work. He finished the job well within respectable time frame, cleaned up after himself (though he did not make much mess to begin with), and treated myself and my pets with respect.

historically I have been very pleased but I wasn't sure about the last service man sent as he insisted he shouldn't pass my furnace but had pictures on his phone that I wasn't sure where they came from so I was left with some distrust of his recommendation seeing that no one else had the same comment when I went to replace the furnace

I called Beverly Services this morning, they came in the afternoon (called to let me know when they were 30 minutes away), and fixed the problems within an hour. The total price was a bit high given the total time spent working, but you can't beat great response time when half of your outlets aren't working.

Received call from on-call plumber within 20 minutes. He gave exact price over the phone (Nice - gave us the option of trying someone else). Arrived when he said he would and completed the work faster than we thought. He took the old water heater away and left the area spotless. He was very personable and pleasant (not always the case with on-call persons). The price was steep because of the emergency; we had house guests due that same evening. Although we like our usual plumbing company, they do not have 24 hour service.

I have used Beverly Services for years and my only complaint is that I think they are expensive, So when I first had a problem with my bathroom faucet leaking I attempted to use another plumbing company my neighbor recommended. The leak was bad and I had to use my main water valve to turn my water on and off, very inconvenient. He fit me in the day I called though he said he was really busy, but when he got there he did not have a cartridge to fit my faucet, and his supplier was closed for the day, so he couldn't do anything until my next day off work. Well, he never showed up and I couldn't get a hold of him. So I called Beverly, which I should have done in the first place. They came out and they didn't have the part either, but he said he could install shut-off valves, which I really needed anyway. I decided to just replace the faucet rather than fix the new one, and my kitchen faucet was damaged and I decided to get it replaced also, and they came back out and did that my next day off. Every service professional I have ever had come out from Beverly has been great to deal with, they explain everything and are always friendly and professional. I always feel confident when I use them that the job is being done correctly.
Description of Work: Installed shut-off valves under bathroom sink, then I purchased bathroom faucet and stopper, and kitchen faucet and sprayer off of them and had them installed

The first company brought in by our home warranty service refused to service our furnace which was shutting off at random and making loud clicking noises. So I called another company from Angie's List who would service the furnace brand we had. Turns out that they were the same company that had originally installed it in the house and explained that many companies avoided our brand because they weren't familiar with it. Beverly tuned it up, got it working perfectly (didn't have a problem the rest of the long winter) and--best of all-- patiently walked me through how the furnace worked, what to do to help it run optimally, and how to pull out and clean the filters in the air cleaner section. He was kind, experienced and professional. A great experience!
Description of Work: We had recently bought the house and were unfamiliar with the furnace which had started turning off at random and was making loud clicking noises. Beverly Services tuned up the furnace, and showed us how to clean the filters to stop the clicking.

They have qualified personnel but their prices can be quite high. I paid Beverly Services several thousand dollars to perform some heating system work and in hindsight I probably overpaid for the services. In addition, I needed some basic plumbing re-routed for a bathroom remodel and received an estimate from Beverly Services for several thousand dollars. I was able to hire a licensed contractor to do the work (quite well actually) for a few hundred dollars.

I can't say enough good things about Ed Millard, the service pro who came out to do this work. I've traditionally used another contractor, who I have a lot of respect for, but they could not get here until later in the week. Let's start with scheduling the appointment: The folks at Beverly were pleasant and scheduled me right away (and even let me save a couple of bucks by purchasing the diagnostic through Angie's list.) Ed came this afternoon, was pleasant, and got right to work. He deduced the transformer was bad almost immediately, grabbed one from his truck, and wired it in. It blew immediately, and he got to work troubleshooting. Figured out the problem with the transformer, and also found that the switch that shuts off power to my furnace had been rendered inoperable by a previous tech. After figuring out the transformer was good, but I still did not have AC working, he moved to the condenser. He suspected a contact was blown there, but pretty quickly determined there was a short between the condenser and the furnace. He said he would need to come back and run a new wire. I could tell he was not happy about not being able to get me back in operation. He started looking at the wire path, and found where some rodent had chewed through it. He quickly repaired it and I am happily listening to my AC hum. Although I've had many years of great service from my previous contractor, I'm a convert. This was a great service experience. Super happy with the service.
Description of Work: AC was not working. Furnace motor was also not blowing. Replaced transformer on furnace, found a shorted wire, repaired that as well.
