Well, they came out to see what was going on since I had no heat. They gave a very high quote to fix and clean everything the right way and I just can't afford that. They could have replaced a switch to give me heat that evening, but the tech said it wouldn't have been done right according to him.

He tried to charge me $75 extra for installing the thermostat, but since the problem persisted, he didn’t. He called me crazy and told me I just needed to flip the switch on my actual unit, which I don’t think I should have to do. He was very rude. I don’t think I should have been charged $85, but he told me it was for him to just come here. He also told me he’d be here at 5pm, but didn’t show up until 8pm and he didn’t call. Now I’m left with banging pipes.
Description of Work: My thermostat wasn’t shutting my air conditioner off. I told him what the problem was and he came out. He looked at the thermostat, came back and couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t shutting off. He told me I needed a new thermostat, and since I had already bought one he installed it, but the problem was still happening.

GROSSLY INFLATED THE PRICE FROM THE ORIGINAL ONE I WAS GIVEN OVER THE PHONE. DID NOT SHOW UP ON ORIGINAL DATE OF SERVICE. (NO CALL EITHER.) I CALLED AGAIN TO HAVE A CEILING FAN INSTALLED. (WHICH TOOK ABOUT 2 WEEKS TO FINALLY GUARANTEE AN APPOINTMENT.) ON THE DATE IN WHICH THIS WORK WAS TO BE PROVIDED, I WAS RUNNING LATE AND SPOKE WITH THE ELECTRICIAN WHO ASSURED ME THAT HE WOULD WAIT. MUCH TO MY DISAPPOINTMENT, HE DID NOT KEEP TO HIS WORD AND I WAS WITHOUT AN ELECTRICIAN (WHICH ACTUALLY WORKED TO MY ADVANTAGE, AS I WAS NOW CONVINCED TO JOIN ANGIE'S LIST AND FIND A MORE COMPETENT COMPANY.)
