The workers arrived on time every day they were very courteous and knew their jobs well. I am well pleased with the finished product. I will recommend Joe Ritchie's company to anyone who wants a contractor who delivers quality work.

I had a new roof put in by this company. There were no existing issues with the old roof, it was just getting up there in age. We got a new roof put in and 6 months later there was a leak in our bedroom. We were told that it was an issue with our downspout not our roof. They put a heater in the downspout to fix the problem. Then more recently there was a bad thunderstorm. Our bedroom had another leak (same location as other leak mentioned) and I called them back to ask for help. I was pretty much told I’m stupid on the phone because I didn’t get the roof coated by them and they said they could come out and fix it for $600 without even coming to look at it. (The old roof had no issues and hadn’t been coated in 15-20 years!) I’m extremely disappointed in the quality of the new roof and the lack of professionalism I experienced. Will be getting other roofing companies to come take a look and see what the actual problem is. Hoping to encounter someone a bit more understanding and professional. There was no leaks at all prior to this roof. I’m just trying to understand why this is now an issue with a new roof.

Much of the work was done satisfactorily with exception of the floor. Floor material was a poor choice and was not I talked properly. Boards slide as measurement must have not been done. Attempt to fix was unsuccessful. Crew was professional and punctual. Work was done quickly but lacked quality.

Everything went great! You deal with the owner the whole time. Very professional and his crew!

Arrived on time bright and early. Very professional.

A difficult task but done perfectly, completed before I moved in and most satisfied with workmanship and price. Presently In process of having new patio also installed.

Now they are doing more work for me, main roof, residing back bay and sidewalk work, on time, upfront, way better then I expected, considering all I needed done.

I contacted this company because they had multiple reviews confirming their ability to work on both roofs and decks. I mentioned during my initial contact that I was looking for an estimate on a leaking roof and roof deck replacement. Joe (?) came out — he was half an hour late — a few days later looked for maybe 3 minutes and said he would get back to me with pricing. I followed up a full week later after not hearing back and he said they were not taking jobs like this because they are "a pain in the ***". I'm not clear why a "general contractor" is unable to replace a roof deck and a roof, nor am I clear why this couldn't have been stated prior to me taking the morning off of work for him to come out. I also don't know why I had to call and follow up rather than telling me that when he looked at it or via a follow up call/email. TL;DR Does not do roof/roof deck jobs because they are "a pain in the ***". Ignore any reviews stating that they do.

The job went very well. Ed and Dustin were two great guys. They were on time every morning, cleaned up every night and were very detailed in their work. They listened to my concerns and were very easy to work with. I'm very happy with the job they did for me.

Went great. Finished product was exactly as I had envisioned. Joe’s men were punctual and cleaned up each day. Nicest deck in our development!

Went well. The crew was easy to work with and professional. Joe made sure the end product was want we set out to achieve.

Easy to get a hold off. Payment and contract and work was completed within weeks. Highly recommend.

Joe's staff was professional. A had a few questions during and after the process and Joe responded timely.

It went well. Joe was very responsive to all requests and really worked some magic with scheduling sub-contractors and inspections. His crew was there everyday on time and put in a full day's work.

All A's. Overall, he comes over right away. The quality is good and he's pleasant to get along with. I had to have someone else come in to fix something in the back of the house. Joe couldn't get to it for one reason or another. He doesn't realize that then I have to call someone else to come out and fix it and charge me more. He said he was going to do more for the price but he never really did.

Here again, he gave me an indication that he was going to do more, or he sounded like he was going to do more for the price, but didn't. He didn't take any pictures or show me of the damage and what he had accomplished, I might have known that he didn't do a everything he was supposed to. Just like now, I had to call him for storm damage and I had a piece of metal come loose. I thought he had tacked these down. I don't know what he did as he didn't show me any pictures. He needs to show what he actually did. I'm understanding that he's doing something and then he doesn't actually do it. What he DID he did well. It's what he didn't do that's lacking.

Work completed correctly and on-time. Joe personally supervised the carpenters and helpers so that the work was done right.

It did not. He set up the appointment for Tues., the week of 7/26/16. He said that he would call on Monday 7/25 to let me know when he could come on Tues., 7/26. He never called on Monday, 7/25 with appointment for Tues. I called his number again on 7/27, and left a voice mail message that he said that he would call on Mon., for the Tues. appointment. I believe that I called again and spoke to his wife ( I presume) and she said that she would give him the message. As of today, 8/3/16, I have not heard from the contractor.

I contacted Mr. Ritchie about adding a bathroom to my home. He gave me an estimate and the work began within 1-2 weeks. All his workers were respectful, since my elderly parents were at the home during this construction. From the construction workers to the plumber, to the electrician; all were professional in providing the services for my new bathroom. I chose the tiles and they had no problems with installing it. My bathroom is beautiful with extra closet spaces and shelves. I'm planning to renovate my other bathroom and kitchen in the future and hope that Mr. Ritchie can do the work. He always checked on his workers and made sure all the work was being done correctly; any questions I had, he would address. Mr. Ritchie is dedicated to quality work..

Joe came to the house and we discissed repairs needed. He never went up on the roof. In discussing a potential addition he asked me if I had any idea how much that would cost? I told him no, that's why I was asking for an estimate.. I guess he didn't take me seriously, as I never keard back from him again.

I hired Joe Ritchie General Contractor and Builder to demolish my kitchen which included opening it up, knocking through a closet and a pantry. He came out to my house and gave me an estimate. After interviewing several contractors I decided to go with Joe. We started the project on, 6/29/2015. It was a pleasant working experience from day one. His workers showed up promptly every morning and worked a full 8 hours every day and even came in on Saturdays to make sure the job was done in a timely matter. We all worked together for 3 weeks and it was never awkward and I felt totally comfortable with his guys in my house. I have to say that the gentlemen, Fred and Mike whom I worked with were very respectful, friendly and the best carpenters in the business. They made sure I understood everything they were doing and offered expert advice when I was unsure about some details. Their skills are awesome and the workmanship is beautiful. They are perfectionists. I feel that Joe and his whole crew went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. Joe also made a point of stopping in everyday to check on things or to see if I needed anything. I love my new dream kitchen and couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Joe Ritchie for any project you may have and look forward to working with him again in the future.
