The job went great. We got held up by some cold/rainy weather between when I originally met with Matt and when we finished the job (today) but he was great about keeping in touch with me and planning when would be the best time to paint. I'm really happy with the way the job came out and would definitely hire him again.

Matt Rathgeb's exterior work was outstanding. I had given up on my outside shudders and was ready to put them in the trash. I couldn't believe that he was able to revive my old, dirty, faded shutters into looking like new. And my new Red front door pops, and looks absolutely beautiful. Your front door is the focal point when entering your home and there are an overwhelming number of Reds to chose from. Matt spent a lot of time with me picking out just the right one, and has a color consultant on hand for advice. His interior work is impeccable. My stairwell and upstairs bathroom had not been painted in over 15 years, and now look so fresh and clean. I had some paint on hand that Matt was able to use and he even went the extra step and strained it before using to ensure it would be fresh and smooth, now who does that? But even more important, I cannot believe how clean Matt and his team left the house. I am handicapped and for me to have to clean my stairs and bathroom at the end of the day would have been burdensome. When I walked upstairs, I was stunned, I did not have to do a thing, they cleaned up everything. My bathroom was cleaner than before they arrived! Everything was shining and not a speck of dust, and the paint job is pristine. Also, the outside powerwashing was done thoroughly, much better than what I previously had done by someone else. I cannot say enough about these guys, they do beautiful work and go the extra mile, are punctual and thorough, reasonably priced and will leave your house looking beautiful when they leave. Do yourself a favor and give them a call for a Spring makeover.

This was the third year in a row using Matt's company as I slowly repaint my entire house. Matt has always responded within 24 hours to my e-mails/phone calls and he came by to give an estimate that same week accommodating my work schedule. The estimate is given on the spot with a price, duration of the job and availability. Matt even helped with paint colors by sending recommendations from a designer. The work was able to start within a couple of weeks and the work was done in two and a half days even with my adding to the scope at the last minute. The workers were always punctual and were careful to clean up after a day's work to minimize inconvenience to my family. I strongly recommend this service as I was very happy with the outcome.

Called Rathgeb Painting, Matt Rathgeb showed up on time, told him what I wanted done. He measured everything and explained in detail what he would do. After deciding go give him the job, We set a start date. Matt and his crew showed up every day on time. When they were finished for the the day they cleaned up before they left. Matt and his crew were very easy to deal with and paid attention to all details. The job took 4 days to complete and I couldn't be happier with the results. They exceeded my expectations. In today’s world of short cuts and quick fixes – it’s a pleasure to hire someone who does as promised. I hired Matthew Rathgeb to paint interior doors and trim. He and his crew did METICULOUS work, and Matt even went above and beyond rectifying a mistake made by a previous contractor. Strong work ethic, meticulous, extremely neat and polite. I'd like to begin by saying this was the first time I've ever hired anyone to do any substantial renovation work in my home. Up to this point, I had done all work myself along with my father who spent his life in the construction industry. As a result, my wife and I were very nervous to hire an outside contractor as we weren't certain we'd fine someone that would do the quality work we were used to. Matt and his team met and exceeded our expectations! His professionalism and responsiveness is second to none and his work product is tremendous. Throughout the renovation he was in contact with me at-least once daily to provide updates and see if we needed anything. His team was very corteous to my wife and three year old daughter. When we first met he noticed the level of work in the home and immediately knew what we were looking for and delivered. In addition, we were looking for some services Matt didn't provide and he was able to connect us with other quality individuals for those services. They all coordinated their work and ensured the project was completed in time for a family party we were having. When the need arises again, I will definitely be reaching out to Matt. I wanted to get back to Angie's List for my second review of Matthew Rathgeb Painting for more exterior painting I had done by his company this summer, which included my back porch and large detached garage. As previously, Matt spoke to me about what I wanted, assessed what needed to be done, quoted a great price, and finished right on schedule. Matt and his team did an excellent job power washing, prepping, and painting my garage and back porch, as well as making the needed wood repairs and replacing some old floor boards on the porch. There were also extensive ivy vine marks on one side of the garage that are now undetectable, and both the porch and garage look like new to match the front porch which he had previously painted this summer. I am so pleased with the results of his work. My porches and garage are now protected with fresh new coats of paint. Again, I would highly recommend Matthew Rathgeb Painting if you want your job completed with expertise and efficiency!

I contacted Matt when another contractor recommended him. He contacted me immediately and gave me an estimate within hours in regard to painting our two houses. He and his crew were prompt, well organized and get the jobs done without any problems. He got to us quickly knowing that we had a tight time-line ourselves. Matt came and gave me an estimate and explained exactly how they would fix the problems. His estimate was in line with the others I received and I was comfortable with the plan so I agreed to have him complete the job. They arrived exactly when they promised each day. They were careful to protect my property, washed brushes outside and covered everything including the part of the front porch where they were leaving tools. Unlike the previous painter, they were very respectful of my house, my wishes and my time. Cleaned up every evening before they left. After living with ugly, peeling paint for several years, my house looks beautiful! I am a bit of a perfectionist and contractors who have no respect for owner's property is pet peeve of mine, so I was very happy with the way the job was done. It went very well. Matt and his crew did a great job, showed up on time, and were very respectful of the family, neighbors, and environment. His crew found some of the wood trim needed repair so they painted around the issues. Once my carpenter finished his repair work Matt's crew came back and completed the job without missing a beat.
