ECI Comfort

ECI Comfort replaced our heat pump, which included the outside unit, inside air handler, and thermostat/control, in April of 2020. We paid competitive pricing. Our Trane system is still working like new! During our first regular servicing of the unit, the technician, Selinda Killing, found our Air Scrubber (a device to clean the air as it passes through the Air Handler) not working. That item was added to the Air Handler, free of charge, during installation. Today, the Ultra-Violet Bulb, which is the piece that does the actual cleaning in that Air Scrubber, was replaced by technician Mike Slawecki. That is working well, again! Ms Killing, Mr Slawecki, as well as the entire installation crew, in 2020, were totally professional and polite. Our Air Handler is in our attic, with not-easy-access in the master bedroom walk-in closet. The entry to the attic is 18" X 48", and everyone has handled that very small area without issue. Removing the replaced components, as well as, bringing in the new components, through that opening, was not easy. My wife and I have been quite pleased with all ECI has done for us. ECI Comfort is a first-class operation, and we would recommend them for all of your HVAC needs!

We have a contract with ECI for our AC and heater. Andrew arrived on time and performed a thorough check of our AC unit, ensuring we were ready to go for the summer. He was professional, friendly and knowledgeable.

James was prompt, knew his stuff well and explained what the service entailed. Since we've lived here, this is the fifth time we've had maintenance and we've had the same excellent experience each time.

Installation went seamlessly. Mike & Nick were professional, punctual, knowledgeable and cleaned up work areas. Great experience beggining to end. Highly recommend ECI.

James, the technician, obviously was very familiar with the type of unit I have (Mitsubishi), which was purchased and installed by ECI. He even took the time to show me the most efficient settings for the AC.

John Musser, and additionally, Frank Marotta and his install team, were very professional, and performed superbly. As good a job as could be expected. Pricing was very competitive. An Air Scrubber by Aerus was an added no cost bonus.

This job was a fantastic experience from beginning to end. My house is 100 years old and had no existing ductwork. It needed the comfort of central A/C in a flexible and efficient design. Not only do these units cool, but they also heat and are very efficient. I called this summer after my upstairs window A/C units finally bit the dust. It was time for this big project. Even though it was right in the middle of the busy season, the company owner, Ron, called me back within a few days and we made an appointment for him to come review the project within a week. I was impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. I received a written quote with a detailed breakdown of everything, including any rebates that I would qualify for. They also had a financing option that was excellent. Setting up the job was easy and everyone in the office handled the paperwork efficiently and effectively. The installation manager came out a few days later and we had to change a few things, but everything was very clear. They really listened to what I needed to accomplish and the concerns that I had and were patient in answering questions. The actual installation experience was just as good. I tried to be organized and ready for the job to limit any delays and confusion. The team arrived on time each day and worked steadily the whole day. The team leader, Tony, was meticulous in ensuring that all the steps were done carefully, neatly and completely. The team cleaned up each day and communicated well with me about what they had done and what would happen the next day. Any time I had a question during the job, they were happy to answer it. They even came up with a great, and creative, solution to allow me to continue to drain my rain barrel in my downspout without disrupting the new drains for the units. It was that kind of attention to detail that made his company stand out to me. Once everything was ready they turned it on and within 10 min there was already a BIG difference! The installation team seemed genuinely excited to see how excited and happy I was. They took the time to show me how everything worked and answer questions that I had about how to maintain the system and use it in the most efficient and effective way possible.

ECI was responsive and helpful on scheduling via email, and was helpful even when I needed to reschedule my appointment, no drama! The technician showed up on time, explained what he was doing, brought a couple of creative solutions to bear, and even provided some information on my hot water heater and potential replacement options. Great experience, reasonable cost.

I am very pleased with the work and service from ECI comfort. I had gotten 3 additional estimates from other companies. All of the estimates were relatively the same but here are the things that stood out from ECI Comfort. 1. They provided me with a written estimate with a breakdown of costs, including available manufacture and PECO rebates. The other companies merely gave me a verbal estimate and made no mention of possible rebates. 2. After I agreed to the contract, ECI Comfort quickly scheduled service, even though they were very booked up so I could take advantage of rebates that were only available in May and also to finish the job before scheduled travel plans I had. 3. ECI Comfort provided financing options, including 18 month 0% interest financing. 4. The work was scheduled over 2 days. The employees performing the work stated they would arrive at 8 AM- And they arrived at 8 AM! This was refreshing as I've had workers state a time and show up very early or very late. The punctuality was very much appreciated. 5. The two men that installed my ductless units and compressor were very professional and polite. They put drop cloths down in every part of the house where they worked and left the place spotless. 6. The job was finished on time and with very little disruption to my daily life. I was shown how to use my newly installed system most efficiently and was given all the documentation for the units. My house has been blissfully cool since!

Technician came the SAME DAY, fixed the problem in 10 minutes, and pointed out some additional maintenance that needed to be done. The wall units we got from them have been a godsend. My only regret is that we originally only did four rooms instead of every room in the house. It’s been an excellent company to work with in every respect.

Frank and Tony did a great job on the removal and install of the oil tanks in our basement. It was not an easy job but everything that was requested was taken care of. They were careful about protecting our property and cleaning up when finished. I was very satisfied with the work. In the past ECI installed a two zone high velocity air conditioning system and replaced a 30 year old oil burner. Was always very satisfied with their professionalism and competence.

Excellent technicians did a good job. They were efficient, polite, professional, and competent. Real people answer the phone in the office, address questions quickly and make scheduling easy. This is the second time we have had ECI work on our A/C. First job involved replacing older of our 2 A/C systems. The air handler was in a very tight place and ECI technicians found a way to replace it. We have a service contract with them that includes annual checks of our A/C and furnace. The have done excellent work for our neighbors and for family members in the area.

So pleased with the whole installation team - Robert, Nick, Tony, Mike. Took great care with our house. Totally professional in answering our questions and responding to our needs. Cleaned up every day! Was nervous about adding AC to our 100 year old house, but everything went so well. So glad we when with ECI Comfort!

Phenomenally well. Ron Musser started the win streak with his realistic appraisal of our needs, he gave us three choices of solutions, and he worked with us so we could take advantage of an excellent financing offer. Jeremy kept it going with the on site pre work inspection. Then Matt C. and his crew did a superlative job installing the units, testing them, and showing us how to use them. They showed up on time, worked neat, cleaned up after themselves, and even pointed out some issues that needed correcting. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

We are so happy with our high velocity system! Installing the system in a Philadelphia rowhouse is no small task. The team at ECI helped us achieve our dream of cool summers without sacrificing the charm of our home. I am amazed at how quickly the system was installed and the ingenuity of where the vents are located. In the end very little space was sacrificed - I wish we had done it sooner! From sales to install every ECI employee was friendly and professional. Thanks!

The air conditioning wasn't working adequately in our new home. The service person quickly saw that the previous owner crossed some wires in an effort to make a repair. His diagnosis was good, the air conditioning was fixed quickly and I still have my arm and my leg.

Chris came on time, nice guy, explained what he did to the heater and the few minor adjustments he made. Since this is the first home we owned with oil heat I felt more at ease after he left.

Fantastic! Called ECI very late on a Saturday night and service rep came out next day on a Sunday morning. Diagnosed the problem and replaced capacitor. Very happy with service all around. Rich did a great job and was very friendly and professional.

Very well. I have an annual service contract with them which covers parts and labor. The price I pay per year is $295.00 and in the past has paid for itself with replacement filters and other parts.

I had a chimney liner installed per their recommendations after servicing my boiler. They came back and rebalanced/checked the boiler at no charge to ensure efficiency. Carl is extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. So glad I found this company on Angie's List!

I shopped around for a HVAC company for my first home. They were extremely professional and friendly. The boiler is running much more efficiently than the previous service by the previous owners. I'd recommend them to anyone!

Overall good experience. Really great customer service, Monica in customer service took care of scheduling and filed all available rebates with PECO and Mitsubishi on my behalf. (One quote I received from another contractor never even bothered to mention that rebates were available). Darren, the salesperson was friendly and knowledgeable. The installers were also friendly, discussed all possible installation routes for the line sets including the benefits and drawbacks of each route and gave me the choice to make. They were willing to do whatever I decided to go with. They considered the aesthetics of how everything would look from both the interior and exterior perspective. Would definitely recommend.

I just had heater serviced again by ECI and all went smoothly. Since I have had ECI my heater has run so well that I haven't needed service for a few years now other than my annual heater cleaning.

I asked ECI Comfort for a second opinion after our previous HVAC contractor told us we needed a complete new system at about $10,000. ECI said that only minor repairs were necessary. It suggested upgrading the system with an in-duct ultraviolet unit to kill mold spores. I agreed. So for less than $2,000, ECI repaired, serviced and upgraded the system and left it in tiptop-shape. Throughout the project, ECI was exemplary. My calls and e-mails were answered promptly and fully; all personnel gave me their names and e-mail addresses; and both the estimator and the service technician were quick to share what they were doing -- and why -- with me. To top it all off, the service tech discovered and corrected a significant wiring fault in the electrical box powering the HVAC system. At no additional cost! I couldn't ask for any improvement in ECI's service. Well done.
