Overall it was a very positive experience. At first glance you would think that the papered walls were actually painted - that is how smooth and exact the papering is. The seams are great, especially allowing for a very old house with uneven corners. There are no bad spots, bubbles or imperfections. Because the old walls are plaster David had to fix the cracks and then sand before applying the new paper and that is where our only bit of disappointment resulted. We were unaware of just how much dust would be created by the sanding and wished that we had been warned in advance. Because of the location of the walls being done, the plaster dust traveled into almost every downstairs room and a few of the upstairs rooms, even with some of the doors closed. I did speak to David about this after the fact and suggested that he let future clients know what to expect. Had we known we would have hung sheets over doors and all furniture even in areas not being papered. David and his crew were punctual, efficient, respectful and professional. Without a doubt I would highly recommend their services for anyone wishing to have wallpaper removed and/or hung. It's not an easy job, but they are expert at doing it.

David and his crew are great. The work is excellent.I make no claims on my wallpaper skills. That is why I contacted him.I thought I knew how to paint. After seeing his work I learned a good deal about what it takes to get a professional finish. I intend to use him again for my entryway and living room.

He scrapped loose paint on cinder block walls. He applied one coat of primer to the scraped areas. He also applied two coats of finished paint to cinder block walls. He provided the labor and paint. He was very personable and did a beautiful job. I have had compliments on the work.

Well, I don't understand why he wouldn't return my call. I was very specific about what needed to be done. Perhaps too small a job? A courtesy call (umm--we are too busy--but thank you very much for thinking of us!) would have sufficed. But radio silence? Not nice.

Overall, Dave does a great job. I don't have that much experience with painters and this was by far the biggest painting job we have done. He always shows up on time and actually started our job early. He does have a crew with him, but they are respectful and Dave does do a lot of the work himself along side them. He also does a great job managing his crew. I didn't get estimates from other painters for this particular job, but I would guess that his price was average compared to other A rated painters on Angie's list. My only 2 negatives are that when they were removing some of the wallpaper, they were using one of those spray machines which lets out a lot of water and some of the water leaked through my hard wood floors down into my unfinished basement in more than one spot. (If I had had a finished basement, that would have really stunk!) And in one or two spots, his crew got some paint spots on the side of my stairs between where the stair runner ends and the stair molding begins. I didn't notice it until after the job was done and it wasn't a big enough deal for me to call them back to do anything to it. And Dave does do a final once over of all the work to make sure that he didn't miss anything. He is very easy to communicate with as well!

David was 30 minutes early for our arranged meeting and worked diligently throughout the morning to complete the project. The final result was fantastic!

Mr. Deegler and his employees arrived promptly on Tuesday morning. They moved the heavy furniture to the middles of the rooms (we had done the small things the night before) and covered them, then spackled, sanded and painted over all holes, painted the ceilings, walls and trim. The entire process took less than four days, significantly shorter than anticipated. Mr. Deegler and his men were at all times friendly, respectful and professional. It was a pleasure to have them in our home, and they did a beautiful job with the painting. I will definitely call them again when another painting need arises.

Dr. Deegler was professional, hard-working and showed up on time. He cleaned up after himself, he met his estimate and did a very good job. I would recommend him in the future

IF I COULD GIVE DAVID DEELGER PAINTING & WALLPAPER AN A+++, I WOULD! The highest grade is an A so I gave him all A's! David and Rich did a tremendous job on my paint and wallpaper. I LOVE how it turned out! David and Rich showed up on time to do the job - they were even a few minutes early, which I thought was great! They quickly and proficiently started laying down tarps to cover all my furniture and rugs. They were extremely careful and cautious to not get paint or glue on anything. They left no dirt, paint drops or mess! It's like they were never here! David started on the wallpaper and Rich did the painting. He was very detailed and meticulous when measuring and hanging the paper. He took his time and you can tell he really cares about delivering top quality work. I purchased vintage wallpaper online for one of the three walls I needed papering. The wallpaper was from the 1960's or 70's and it was delicate -- I mean it was like old newspaper. I'm not going to lie - I was nervous when I bought it, thinking no one would be able to hang it without it falling apart. But David didn't hesitate or blink an eye. He said "he was trained on this type of paper." which automatically put me at ease. He put up the new wallpaper on the 2 walls beautifully. And the 3rd wall (with the vintage paper) turned out just as amazing. You would never know that the paper was so delicate! It looks perfect! David and Rich worked non-stop while they were here. They did in 6 hours what would have taken me 3-4 weekends to finish. They are pros! They are polite, friendly and take pride in their work. We all know that is hard to come by nowadays. As I mentioned before, when they finished their job, they cleaned up their supplies and there was no mess! It was great! This is the first review I ever wrote online for anybody or anything. I will definitely call David Deegler back again for any more paint/wallpaper work I need done. And I'm definitely going to recommend him to my friends. CALL DAVID DEEGLER! JUST DO IT! You won't regret it.

Great company. Some contractors you hire show up with a couple of kids to assist, Dave showed up with two other seasoned pros. The wallpaper was clearly a challenge to get off without wrecking the wall underneath, but they pulled it off, the place looks great. They were on time every day and were very professional.

David was prompt to reply to our request to schedule an estimate and he arrived on time. His estimate was provided 2 days later and was accepted. He arrived on time for the scheduled work (spanning Thursday thru Wednesday with his crew of 2. His work was excellent and he and his crew were very professional in their work. They clean up at the end of each day and finished a day earlier than planned. I would recommend him to anyone seeking a professional painter and would certainly use him again.

Mr. Deegler promptly scheduled an appointment to take a look at the space and discuss the job after I contacted him through Angie's List. He gave me a clear sense of the labor that would be involved (caulking to prep, etc) and a window of time when he would be available to do the work. We exchanged a few emails (price quote, discussion of materials, etc) and set a date for the work to be done. He was on time, quick and conscientious, cleaned up perfectly, and really did an outstanding precision job.

David was initially scheduled for a Sunday appointment. He called us on Saturday to reschedule the appointment and was profusely apologetic. He rescheduled the appointment for Wednesday and showed up promptly. He was professional and took accurate measurements of the room. He clarified the scope of work to be done. We received the estimate via e-mail shortly thereafter. It was relatively high compared to 2 other estimates we received for similar work.

David came to the house very quickly to get measurements and he provided an estimate within a week. It took a couple weeks to establish a date for the work, because of our schedules NOT Davids. David had estimated that the job would take 3 days, but when he came he brought two other people with him and they finished beautifully in two days. They were very neat and helped with moving furniture. They were early birds starting both days at 7am.

David Deegler was very easy to work with; from our first phone conversation forward, he was prompt about returning calls and very reliable. His quote for the work was significantly lower than the other quote we received from a different company, and the work he did was outstanding. His crew arrived on time and finished the job--to our amazement--in one day. They were incredibly thorough about covering our furniture and floors and did a great job cleaning up. When we came home from work that day, our house was not only painted,but David and his crew had put our house back together (down to the napkin rings on the table!). We wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

It was excellent. He was very friendly and I felt comfortable leaving him in my home when I was not there. He was neat as well.

I should have hired David Deegler Painting. I wanted to use David's company, rather than the one-man painter I used, but I was swayed by the discount the other painter gave me. I asked why I was receiving a discount and was told "I give all of my customers a discount." It's clear to me now, that he uses the discount to secure business as a one-man-painter. The job I got from the "low bid" painter isn't bad, but it dragged on and on (3 weeks!) and he was sometimes careless. It was exhausting and upsetting. You get what you pay for and I sincerely wish I'd gone with a real company like David's, rather than a one-man-show. The painter I used had given me referrals and when I called them I heard what I wanted to hear, but not what I should have heard. Yes, he worked long hours, but that doesn't make for a good job. I should have asked if he paid attention to details.

David's company gave one of four estimates. His price was the best and he also picked up the paint from the store, which saved me from doing it. He and his workers (usually two) arrived promptly every day. They were neat and courteous, used drop cloths and covers,and cleaned up every day. They vacuumed, etc. after finishing each area and put back all furniture they had to move. They did a really good job on the whole house. Everything was left as it was before, not to mention the fact that I'm now enjoying my house and its brand new look.

We had just had a new living room ceiling and 13 new interior doors installed in our house and were in desperate need of a whole house paint job. We consulted Angie's list and came up with David Deegler, a highly rated painting contractor. I can see why. When contacted by us, Dave got back immediatly and set up a time that was at our convenience to come over for an estimate. We were not sure if we could afford the entire job at the time so we asked Dave to break down the estimate a couple of ways for us and he happily complied. A few days later we received by e-mail our estimate and were pleasantly surprised at the cost for the whole house to be done. Everything was spelled out clearly as to what Dave and his crew were to do which included patching, priming, and two coats of paint. We contacted Dave and we agreed on a day to begin. Dave and his crew showed up exactly when they promised and began work promptly. From day one to completion they were friendly, courteous, and professional.They moved furniture carefully, were as neat as can possibly be expected and if they ever took a break I didn't see it. We had each room painted a different color and also four different trim colors but Dave kept track of everything even when I sometimes forgot what was what. I expected a lot more mess and clutter but they made everything work somehow without much inconvenience in our daily lives. While they were there we noticed a few extra odds and ends that could use sprucing up that we didn't contract for, and Dave happily complied at very little additional cost. Any little touch-ups that we noticed were handled happily, even the ones I caused. My wife and I are ecstatic over our " brand new house" and would definitely recommend Dave and his team to anyone.
