Arzan, their designer was one of our favorite people to work with because he came up with a complete renovation of our master bathroom that we could have never thought up ourselves. We have an old row home in Center City- first built in 1850 and we were nervous about doing renovations at all in our older home. We were impressed with Tom the owner in his overview of the company because he put us at ease in their experience in remodeling older town homes in Center City Tom was also very respectful and responsive throughout the renovation process which made the experience pleasant and smooth. Our master bathroom looks like something out of a magazine. There are pictures of our bathroom on Bella's website- we have a 60" long modern stand up shower with pebble floor tile and a bench. Again, given what our bathroom looked liked prior to renovation and final product is extraordinary. They did quite a lot of work in about 8 weeks in total- We plan to use Bella again and would recommend them to our friends who own in the city.

There is honestly not a day that goes by without my husband and I thinking how perfect our rooms look. From the first contact we had with Kathy on the phone to the end of the project we couldn't have asked for a more positive experience. After meeting with the designer, Arsan, and letting him know what we wanted, he came up with a beautiful design for our living room and dining room that we could have never imagined. The attention to detail that Eric and the crew had was so impressive, they even added work to make the finished job look even better, without adding anything to the budget, which was very important to us. Thanks again to Bella Brothers-we can't wait until the next project!

Bella Brothers gutted out my entire basement and remodeled it, in 2009. I was so very pleased with all the results and am still really enjoying my basement very much. Today (6/11/2015) Bella installed a front Security door, a rear screen door in my kitchen, and a replacement window. Bella Brothers are extremely professional. They were on time. Very polite and did not hesitate to get the job completed in a timely fashion. They were respectful to us as well as to each other. Bella Brothers brought all of the materials necessary to complete each task. The doors and window were very well made. If there was a question about options - they asked us, just so we would get what we desired. Once the job was completed, they waited for our approval, cleaned up and put the old items on their truck. I would recommend Bella Brothers to any one needing a serious make over to their home, inside or out. Alfreda Laws.

They performed all the services they said they were going to do for me. I would recommend them. I have every intention to be using them again. I didn’t meet any of the staff. I met the owner herself. It took them about an hour or less to the job.

The experience was great from start to finish. We first met with Tom and Arsan who sketched out our existing space and discussed with us what we were looking for, and designed the layout. We had two meetings in their showroom that lasted about an hour each. We picked out our finishes and even tweaked the layout to our liking. Arsan made three dimensional layouts for us on his computer so we had a good sense of what the space would look like in the end. They were able to change some options to bring ththe price closer to our target budget. In the end we decided on creating a master suite on the 3rd floor of our existing rowhome. We converted an empty room (that had no plumbing initially) into a bathroom and walk through closet attached to our bedroom. The project started the day after Christmas. Our crew was awesome. Danny was the main guy and he was outstanding. The crew was clean, respectful of our space, and detailed oriented. They covered the floor from our front door to the third floor to keep out dirt and scratches. They covered the walls and even everything in the adjoining get rooms to keep the dust out. This was a big project that required running all new plumbing from the basement to the third floor, moving radiator lines, changing the size of a window, installing vents for the shower, rewiring all the electric, framing get out a new closet with recessed lighting, moving one door and installing another. It took about 2.5 months start to finish. The attention to detail was OUTSTANDING. The marble floors, countertops, glass shower, and subway tile were all cut to perfection. We opted for a large glass shower with marble bench. We did not opt for the recessed storage shelves in the shower, but rather went with the less expensive marble corner shelves. The corner shelves are perfect and worth the money we saved (few hundred dollars). The crew had to build out a few areas on the first and second floor for the plumbing, but matched the trim and paint with the existing style and colors. If you did not know the columns were installed for this project you would think they had always been there. All in all we are extremely satisfied with our new master suite and would definitely use them again for a future project.

My tiny bathroom needed a complete gut remodel. Knowing a remodel for this room costs more than $350.00 per square foot and this room was not going to be remodeled again in my lifetime, I wanted it done right. Both design aesthetic and quality workmanship were quite important to me . I only interviewed contractors after I did much research on the necessary work, the ratings of local remodelers and lots of window shopping for the finishes . In my mind, I could envision the bath as it would soon look and anticipated having the job done. After contacting a few companies I decided to have Bella Brothers handle my project. Tom seemed to be professional and willing to listen to my ideas about the design. On October 31, 2014 I signed a contract and Tom said that the project would commence in 3 or 4 weeks and should be completed in 8 days. Add that up and it's approximately 6 weeks to finish the job. The job would be completed by Christmas. Sounded really good to me. First, you should know that Bella does not offer much for baths in their showroom, particularly for limited budgets. Sure, I like $45 per SF tile. I only wish that I could afford it,too! As they did not have any samples of tiles or sinks I envisioned using I said I?d order "my dream finishes? myself. I was told that could not be done, that I must select from finishes they offer. My first mistake. Regrettably, I then picked somewhat acceptable substitutes from their limited tile samples and an acceptable vanity based on a photo in a catalog. Looking back, I wish I held my ground to get the finishes I really wanted. I should have insisted I would purchase these items myself for Bella to install or ,if necessary, found another contractor for my job. Six weeks after signing, on December 11, Bella finally began the job with no real explanation or apology for the delayed start. I was not happy that this job was going to go right into Christmas. The demo of my mud bed tiled bathroom was a difficult, dirty job I am sure . Dom and Drew both worked very hard. However, a major complaint was they did very little to control the incredible amount of dust this demo created. I was shocked that they did not even bring a Shop Vac to their job sites and only used brooms to sweep. Also, they set up work space in a spare bedroom without my knowledge or prior consent . While they covered the bedroom floor they should have advised me to move or cover other items in the room before they set up the work area. The next phase of the job went well as all the new plumbing lines and the tub were installed. Now they were ready to tile. Incredibly, both the wall and floor tiles Bella brought in were unsatisfactory to me. The wall tile that I was encouraged to order in Bella?s showroom was larger than the tile the installers delivered. I was told it could be returned but I would have to wait another week for the proper size tile to be ordered. Bella claimed this all the was the fault of the tile showroom. Once again, no apology from them. At this point I was so frustrated with the delays and the impossibility of any holiday celebrations at my house that I told them to install the smaller tile . I just wanted the job done. Next they brought in my floor tile. It looked nothing like the small sample I saw in Bella?s showroom. The grey mosaic tile I chose turned out to be both gray and tan when seen in full sheets. No way was this tile something I would settle for. What?s worse was that I was made to feel that this color issue was somehow my mistake and that Bella was doing me a great favor by purchasing a different tile for me as "they would not be able to return the special order and would have to eat the cost". At this point I was beyond angry. I went to their tile supply house where I ended up with the only all gray tile that was available in stock. This tile was nothing I would have chosen but a t least the color was right. Still moving on, at the last moment on December 29 I was told my vanity arrived damaged and that they could install a temporary vanity. They installed a $70 Home Depot vanity and told me the correct one should be delivered in two weeks. I have not heard anything from Bella Brothers about this vanity in over three weeks. Today is January 26, 2015, over 12 weeks from signing, and this project is still incomplete. Each time I enter the room I'm reminded how unhappy I am with my decision to use Bella Brothers . I?ve got walls and floors covered with very generic, no- style- whatsoever tile I really dislike, a cheap-o vanity, a ruined holiday and a lot of dust, dirt and aggravation for all my due diligence and big money. What a disappointment. My advice to you is stay away from Bella Brothers. They do not deliver on their promises. While the actual workmanship seem to be okay, dealing with this company is impossible. They are good at making excuses, causing delays and in general showing little respect for the client. I wonder, is their motto ?The customer is always wrong??

The work performed included a 400 sq. ft. addition to our home, plus a remodel of existing kitchen. Once work started, it went well. All sub contractors and Bella Bros workers were punctual and professional. Eric, the project manager, responded to all our questions right away. At each point throughout the whole project, he explained time table and what to expect. Each and every worker that showed up were friendly efficient, professional and at end of each day cleaned up area. We would recommend Bella Brothers for any home remodel projects in the future.

My husband and I are both so pleased with the work that Bella Bros have done for us. We had just purchased this home and we only had one month to get it ready until we needed to move in and it was really very outdated and looked very shabby inside....well after interviewing several contractors we really had our doubts about anyone being capable of completing this multifaceted project properly and in time for our move-in date...Well thanks to Angies List I came upon Bella Bros and after meeting with Tom I really just knew that they could do the job and would be honest and finish on time...Tom was very knowledgeable and assured me that everything would be done and done right. Eric was our project manager and he was great! He kept us up on everything that was going on and always let us know what was happening next and he really made sure that everything that concerned us was quickly addressed. Our home now looks absolutely beautiful! And I truly believe that had we hired anyone other the Bella Bros we would not have had such a fabulous result. I also want to mention that all the subcontractors they hired were excellent at their craft. And ladies in the office were wonderful! Thank you Bella Bros!

Wanted to charge $250 for an estimate on a remodel and when I simply said I didn't want to pay that for the service, she began to argue and to convince me of why they were worth the $250 and other people might not give accurate detailed estimates. I found this really inappropriate and let her know she did not need to argue or justify her company's prices, I simply wasn't interested. Very strange interaction. I could go into more detail.

My new kitchen looks absolutely beautiful and my experience with Bella Brothers was very positive starting from the Initial Meeting with Tom until the completion of the kitchen 3 weeks later. Initial Meeting: Tom came to our home for the initial meeting and he listened to what I wanted to do, offered some great advice and opinions on some "problem areas" as well as asked a lot of questions, took measurements and explained the Bella Bothers process. We were called the next day with an estimate and invited to come into the showroom to review some design options in more detail. Arsan, the designer, was extremely knowledgeable and offered various options after asking what we liked and wanted in the kitchen (colors, tiles, backsplashes, etc). One of the benefits of working with Bella Brothers was we didn't have to go to 3 or 4 different stores to pick out what we wanted. Everything was available in the showroom and Arsan worked with us to pick selection that would complement each other. Contruction Process: We were assigned a Project Manager, Eric and a construction team that completed the renovation and kept us informed during the entire process. Eric was excellent to work with and I highly recommend him and will request him for future projects! He was very accommodating with our schedules, came every day to make sure things were going smoothly and moving at an acceptable pace. When there were any "hiccups", he called and kept things moving. The contruction team, led by Danny, was also excellent to work with and his work is impeccable. He arrived on time every day; worked diligently throughout the day; was extremely polite and meticulous; and he cleaned up every night before he left. I have two infants in the house and felt that he did a wonderful job making sure that we weren't inconvenienced any more than we had to be due to the contruction. Completion: The entire process was approximately 3 weeks and we now have a new kitchen that is more useful, maximizes the space and looks beautiful. The pricing was comparable to other quotes that we received, perhaps slightly higher in some cases, however, the convenience of "one-stop-shopping" and the end result were absolutely worth the very slight difference. Recommendation: We have other renovation projects that we want in the next few years and we would absolutely use Bella Brothers again and I would recommend to our friends and family.

The main job was the powder room. The walls were covered by paneling by the original owners. The gas compsny had to partially knock out one wsll due to a gas keak next door. The previous owners had covered up access to the gas line with the paneling. I did not want to pull down all the paneling. Bella Brothers had to dry wall the hole & I chose to paint rather than try to match a 30 plus year job. The gas company had also brought out the new pipe further than before. Bella Brothers used lots of skill & creativity on that wall. I was ready to accept passable. The end result is really beautiful. I couldn't be more pleased. The garden steps were resecured & are safe again as well as nice looking. The house painting was also a profesdional job. We are very pleased.

*Overall customer service: The initial response was very good. Our meeting with Tom, the owner, was quickly scheduled, he was prompt and we were quite impressed with his knowledge. We discussed repairing the part of the ceiling in the living room that had collapsed and then covering and painting the existing ceilings in the living room and dining room. Subsequently, a contract was forwarded to us and we signed it. When the Project Manager arrived at the house, we were informed that the paining had not been included in the contract and there would be an additional charge of $975. We were informed by both the PM and the Office Administrator that the painting was not itemized and therefore not included. There were several other parts of the project that were also not itemized that we were told were included, which made us have some reservations about the entire contract. We attempted through email and at least four phone calls asking to speak directly with the owner. It took a good three weeks for him to respond. When we did speak with him he was very obliging and we were grateful for the agreement we reached for the painting. After the work was completed, we were expecting to hear from the PM to see if we were satisfied with the end result. Until last week, the only contact we got after the completion of the work was a reminder that the check was due. *Overall Quality of Work: Very good. We are very pleased with the end result.*Professionalism of workers: There were three different crews. The first crew put up the drywall. They were here on a Friday and though the quality of work was fine, they stated that they were eager to finish so that they could get their weekend started, and in doing so did not clean up as thoroughly as they could have - I found debris behind and on the china cabinet, the television stand and in the window sills. The second crew, the sparklers, were excellent. They were highly professional, courteous, and meticulous in their work and clean-up. The third crew, the painters, were an hour late getting here (no phone call), making me get a late start for work that day. The quality of their work was good. Two other side notes: The painters used our refrigerator to store their lunch (they left some of it behind) and went upstairs to use a bathroom, instead of using the guest bathroom on the first floor. Not big deals, granted, but it would have been nice if they had asked first.

When moving into our home ten years ago, we needed our kitchen enlarged and fully gutted out and remodeled. We knew right away we were going to have Bella Brothers complete our project as we had always heard wonderful references from friends and family. Since that time, they not only completed our large kitchen, they put in a new deck, fully enlarged bathroom, powder room, and installed all new doors, windows, and siding. Not to mention all odd and end projects I was able to come up with. We were always more than happy with their work and the cost of our projects. When it was time to update our kitchen, we knew immediately we would call on Bella Brothers. When Tom came for our estimate, he was fully prepared to show us endless amounts of tile, counter tops, flooring, and also helped us to choose our appliances. He also offered us the opportunity to go into his showroom if he did not have something that we could decide on that night. The carpenters showed up three weeks later, as scheduled. They were very punctual throughout and always made sure to clean up entire work area each night before they left. All the work was completed on time, as planned. The color choices and design in flooring, tile, granite counter tops, and appliances - suggested by Tom - complimented our cabinets/walls/windows. Eric, the project manager stopped by daily to check on progress and to see that we were comfortable with everything. We are very pleased with all the work that Bella Brothers performed at our home and we look forward to finding a new project.

It was wonderful. Ever concern I had throughout the process was addressed immediately to my satisfaction. All the work was done very professionally.

We are extremely happy with the way our kitchen and bathroom remodel from Bella Brothers turned out! Dominic and Drew did a majority of the work on our house. They were courteous, professional, and their attention to detail was amazing! We highly recommend that you request them, although every Bella employee that worked on our house did a great job. (We were NOT happy with one or two of their contractors however. For example, the window contractor removed the existing panes of glass by smashing them out! We had glass slivers everywhere!) Also, we would have appreciated more communication from the home office. We didn't know what to expect going in: how long it would take, when work would start, what days and times would work be done... all things we needed to know to schedule time off from work. All in all, we would highly recommend Bella Brothers and will use them again in the future.

They were absolutely outstanding! They were on time everyday, stayed the entire day and someone was in the home for two weeks making sure we were without a kitchen for as little time as possible. The owner Tom was so friendly and couldn't have worked with us better. He was professional, but there was a personal touch as well. I will recommend them and definitely use them again for any future projects on my home.

They did a beautiful job. They brought the materials to my home for me to choose from. They were on time and never intrusive. They give expert advice with a solid plan. Very talented crew. They always had an open line of communication thanks to Christina in their office. Professional standards, experience and workmanship. It has been a few years and my kitchen still looks great.

The work was good but the paint turned out yellow and there was some confusion with the color. It cost an extra $275 for them to paint it white. The painter did what he was supposed to do but it turned to be the wrong color. The plumbers were not very punctual, they kinda came whenever they wanted. The carpenters were extremely punctual and professional and so was the electrician. Overall it was little tough to deal with and there was a lack of communication. I would definitely do things a little differently next time.

Fantastic communication & responsiveness! We contacted Bella Brothers on Monday morning with a request to for a time sensitive project related to a house sale / home inspection. Later that morning I received a request for additional information related to estimating the job. By early afternoon I had not only received a written proposal and estimate for the project but an available crew for the next day. Christina in the office could not have been more responsive or helpful. She stayed later in the evening to firm up the final logistics for the work and to ensure that the proposal was acceptable to achieve our goals. The project manager "Eric" called me on Monday to ensure our final plans and work began by 8:00am Tuesday morning. Overall Bella Brothers' team was professional, courteous, and helpful. The final work was exactly as promised and right on target with the estimate (despite their having never seen the job site prior to beginning work). Overall we had a great experience from first contact on Monday to being provided final photos on Thurs to document the work.

About a year ago we had a total kitchen remodel performed by Bella Brother's. We were totally satisfied by the quality and craftsmanship. One of the true test of a reputable contractor is what happens when you call them a year later with a repair that needs attention. Which brings me to this review. One of the under the counter lights was not working properly. We called Bella Brother's office and talked with their office staff that was as polite and helpful as they were a year ago. They advised that they would have the project manager call us. Eric called and we explained the problem to him. He stated that he would have someone contact us about making the repairs. We received a call, from the repairman who came out and fixed the problem. I should point out that this was not a problem in workmanship, but rather a defective part which was not the fault of Bella Brother's. One call to the office, and everything was set in motion. This is a great example of a contractor who cares about being sure their customer is still satisfied a year later. Bella Brother's has proven to us that they are a very reliable contractor that stands behind their quality work.

I found everyone I spoke with at Bella Brothers to be professional and pleasant. I didn't wind up hiring them for this particular job, but it was due to no fault of theirs, and I wouldn't hesitate to call them in the future.

Bella Brothers did an excellent, clean, professional job. The owner was very knowledgeable and helpful. The woman at the office were wonderful also. Men who did the jobs were excellent. They knew what they were doing, they cleaned up everything, explained anything that I asked to be explained. We are very pleased with our new window and doors. It adds a gorgeous appearance to our home. I would recommend Bella Brothers to everyone!

After having several contractors fall through, I reached out to Bella Brothers for my small condo bathroom renovation. From the initial design meeting I felt that the challenges of my existing bathroom were completely understood, and Bella Brothers was able to come up with a design layout that maximized space and efficiency. I was amazed at how quick and clean the demo was and impressed by how streamlined the whole process was, especially given that my condo was on the fourth floor of a very small building with no elevator. From the beginning, Eric was highly respectful of my time and also ensured that my neighbors would not be inconvenienced. The quality of work was outstanding, particularly with respect to the infrastructure (plumbing, walls, electrical) and the finishing was excellent. I also appreciated the professionalism, as well as the respect they showed my condo and the building's common areas. I will definitely consider hiring them again for another project. The only "B" grade is in respect to price, but that is more of a reflection of my own tastes, not so much on Bella Brothers. I spent more than I had initially wanted to, but I understood that the cost was justified by the quality of materials and workmanship. I could have gone with a less expensive project, but I am generally willing to spend more for better quality.

The quote and project overview meetings went well and were flexible to my schedule. We wanted to move fast to get the house to market as soon as possible, and they were prepared for that. The quoted price was fair and ultimately reflected the work that was done. The painters did a great job. All of the detail and lines were clean. All previous "murals" (my work) were completely covered. On top of that, they worked fast: all of this in a standard South Philly rowhome within a week's time. The other repairs were done to my satisfaction as well. I was specifically impressed with the person brought in for the tub glazing. A previous contractor had their painters just use some aerosol spray-on material to repair and recoat. I didn't know any better at the time, but soon that coat came up in patches and clogged the drain on several occasions. The subcontracted guy for this job had an entire compressor and blower system for stripping away the old and applying a new coat. This will definitely allow the new owners to continue using the cast iron tub for several more years. Eric was the project manager and was always communicative of the schedule and would check in regularly to ensure I was happy with the work as it progressed. Bella Brothers will definitely be on the top of my list as I look for bids on potential renovations of our next house in the coming months.
