Description of Work: Reinforced a bowing basement wall with their patented system. |They attached metal straps to the inside of the basement wall that were anchored by steel rods and steel anchor points approx, 10 feet out from the basement foundation.

Description of Work: I called them to check out the cracks that had appeared in my foundation. They were prompt, professional, knowledgeable and most-importantly honest. I was told that the cracks were minor and that my foundation did not need their services.

Description of Work: Installed 5 wall anchors and removed 2 pieces of retaining angle installed by a previous owner. Work was done promptly, they did everything I asked and cleaned up well afterward. I recommend this company.

A technecian came to house promptly and put a seal on the wall anchor. No charge for the service as it was covered under warranty. I have not seen any water in the garage since

Description of Work: The gentleman who originally evaluated my situation and gave me an estimate for services said 13 wall anchors would be needed along two walls of my basement to stabilize its damage due to clay heave. He did check the outside of the house to see about placement and sloping needed for the anchors. He said that the current cracks might close some, but probably would not close completely. I contracted for the work to be done when I could be available to be present. I especially based my decision on the fact that the company issues a 50 year transferable warranty which will enable me to sell my house at some time in the future. Two workers arrived the morning agreed upon and upon checking out my basement layout, with chimney involvement, quickly determined that the initial estimate and placements would not work. After consulting with their office, they set to work putting in 11 wall anchors. The job was completed within the two days as initially estimated and the results were as promised. The results, by the end of the summer, with tightening of the bolts with the purchased torque wrench, were actually better than I expected. The wall cracks almost completely closed and will need little more than a touch of caulk and fresh wall paint throughout the basement. The steel plates have been primed with paint, leaving the tightening bolts uncovered, and the preparation for painting is progressing. My only negative comment deals with the young men who actually installed the anchors. It seemed to me that the job could have been finished a half day earlier than the full two days. When I checked on their progress periodicly, they were often using their cell phones, texting, taking breaks or smoking in their truck. Maybe these activities are now just an expected part of the work day. I did not address them, but did include these comments on the response card that Matthews Wall Anchor sent me. Ten days after the job was completed I did finally receive the warranty certificate. Overall I was pleased with the work and can recommend the company to others

Description of Work: I had them come out to look at a problem I was having and they said that my problem was not really serious enough to warrant their services and gave me great advice as to how to proceed. It is great to run into people who will not fix something that really does not need to be fixed.
