Stirling Painting & Renovations

One of the worst companies I have ever been employed with. I do not recommend working with Stirling Painting. I worked with this company for over 4 years. My supervisor also supported us as employees and was part of getting us medical benefits and a 401k. He drove us to work together and produced quality work in a timely manner. The first two years were good. Then I had some family matters to attend to and they were supportive. However, after I attended to those matters I was watched like a hawk and all their trust in me disappeared. The owner I dealt with put on a good front but in the end he only cared about making money and catering to his elitist clients. The secretary was down right rude, disrespectful, and inconsiderate to us as employees. You had to kiss her *** and stay on her good side. It was quite the emotional roller coaster working there. If that is your cup of tea, you will find your time with Stirling enjoyable. If you are a down to earth person and real, I would not recommend pursuing a career there. It was definitely one of the best learning experiences ever on how not to treat your employees or how to run a business. Since being let go over a year ago by my supervisor through a text message, not my boss (without a reason), I have stopped questioning my abilities as a painter and as a human being.

Everything couldn't have gone any better. Attention is paid to details, the painters were all polite, professional, and prompt. From top to bottom, they are careful, thorough, and work with you if you have any concerns. I have used Stirling before and I will recommend and use them again. 5 star to you all! Thank you guys!

It went extremely well, very pleased with the quality and timeliness of the work.

We had used Stirling for a small paint job a few years ago and were pleased with their work so we contacted them for an estimate on this project. We were promptly given an estimate and designed a contract for them to do the job. Jeff, the painter, arrived promptly and worked efficiently and neatly, completing the job in about 2 days - doing an undercoat and two coats of paint. A job well-done!

Stifling did a great job. My "minor" renovation, originally planned as a vanity top replacement., grew to a slightly larger project. They were really great about the work order changes. I love the results.

Jeremy from Stirling Painting provided an estimate and was very prompt with replying to questions. The estimate was reasonably priced and specifically outlined everything they were going to do. The guys from Stirling arrived on the agreed upon date and were very punctual. The job went according to plan with a minor setback of bubbling on the walls due to the walls being cold. The completion of the job was delayed a day or two with the minor setback. Jerry, the project manager, reassured me that they would stick with the job until it was completed correctly. Stirling Painting never waivered and completed the job very well. Overall, I'm very satisfied with Stirling Painting and would use them again. Jerry in particular was very professional and courteous.

We have used Stirling Painting before and they did a good job but this year it was very disappointing. During the work stain was spilled on the lawn killing the grass, tape was left on the windows, the stain was unevenly applied and the knots were not sanded so the stain did not take at all. I advised Andy of the issues and the following is a copy of the conversation. Given that the problem could have been fixed in a couple of hours I am not sure what is to be gained by waiting for Spring or if they will ever show up. - you be the judge. Mr. Benson, I'm certainly disappointed to hear this. Please let me know if we can come back to remove any tape and if you would like us to re-run any areas in particular. The latter would just have to wait until the product specs allow new stain to be received. Andy I replied as follows: I removed the tape and there is stain left over, it really is just a question of adding a coat to the areas where the stain did not take or where it needed more stain. It is very easy to see so you may want to take a look yourself. The following is his answer: If ok with you I'll come out early Spring to take a look and we will plan on re-running those areas as needed. Andy

Everything went excellent. Very much enjoyed the painters, they were professional, polite, and eager to please. They painted the whole house, fixed nail pops in ceilings, touched up trim where needed, etc. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

Andy Grason met with me within 3 days of my initial call, which was initially for the purpose of painting my kitchen cabinets. We discussed the possibility of a complete renovation of my dining room /kitchen area and he referred me to Shawn, who was in charge of the renovation projects at that time. About a week after Shawn and I met, I was provided with a detailed written estimate of all possible work to be completed, which allowed me to choose which portions I wanted to include. I have worked with this company before and know the rates to be very fair. After a short delay of about 2-3 weeks the project was begun with demolition of flooring and an interior wall. The crew was very careful to first wall off all other living spaces and cover all furniture with plastic. Each day they arrived on time, worked diligently and cleaned up whatever mess had been created. I was apprised of what work was to be done at the beginning of each day, and all of my questions and concerns were answered in detail. The project was completed in 3 weeks and within the time frame that I requested. I was extremely pleased with the work done by this crew. They were all courteous, hard-working, and consistent in their efforts to clean up and make my home as livable as possible during, what was for me, a major project. I especially appreciated their attention to detail and willingness to answer my questions and respond to any concerns that I had. The quality of the finished work was excellent. I would highly recommend them for any interior painting and/or renovation projects.

I contacted Stirling to sand and repaint my deck. Andy was terrific- constant communication with details of everything they would do. His men were punctual, pleasant and painstakingly sanded the railings. The project took a total of 4 days with them doing everything by hand. Stirling is worth every penny I paid and I will definitely use them in the future!

Excellent work on the painting, including a fine choice of paint, as it has already proven its improved washability over what I had previously. While there was a communications hiccup regarding work on a skim coat, they corrected the problem without issue. Work was done in less than the estimated time, and the team was on time and professional.

They told us it would take some time to work through the multi-step process, but they stayed on the job, cleaned-up each day and we are very satisfied.

Stirling was hired to paint four large, high ceiling rooms. They were very professional in every aspect of the job, from how they handle the job estimate to clean up after the job is complete. We were told 2-3 days for the job to be completed, and it was done in 2 days. Both days they showed up on time and worked almost non-stop. The paint looks great, but more important than that is that during the job paint accidentally got on something that it shouldn't have, and instead of giving me the run around, they inspected the item and replaced it with a new item, taking the time to order it themselves and having it shipped directly to my home. Very impressive.

For painting and some trim work/woodwork, Stirling Painters are excellent. They were referred to me and I used them. I looked them up on Angie's List. They were excellent. They were very professional. They were very knowledgeable and very good tradespeople. Some do the woodwork and some do the painting. So if someone is not good at painting, but they are better with painting, then they will do the woodwork. They are very skilled. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

I wish everyone was like Shaun. He came 1 1/2 hours late..but called every so often to give me an update. He explained that he was waiting for a delivery for another client..and I was fine with that...because he called and kept in touch. His work is that of an artist...and he is just a great guy to work with!!!!

They were very good. The price was reasonable.

It went fine. However, they will be fixing something in the spring.

This is the second project we have used Stirling for. They also did some extensive interior painting in our home this summer. Professionalism from start to finish. We couldn't be happier with our experiences with Stirling! Fair pricing, exceptional quality & service. Andy Grayson responded back quickly to our request for estimates. He explained everything in great detail & followed through on everything that was promised. Once the projects were underway our foreman, Jerry Brown would give us an update each morning of what was going to be completed that day. He would also check in with us at the end of each day, to make sure we didn't have any questions or concerns. Their entire staff was punctual, courteous & a pleasure to deal with. We are also amazed how quickly each project was completed & how clean everything was left each day. We will definitely be using Stirling for future projects.

The Stirling folks are great contractors, and I highly recommend them. Andy Grayson gave us a very fair quote early in the summer and offered a 10% discount for scheduling the work early in the summer. He worked around our vacation schedule, so we could be present during the work. The members of the work crew were very courteous. They introduced themselves to us upon arrival. They completed the various jobs expeditiously. They maintained a well organized and clean worksite. They responded positively to our suggestions and requests as the job advanced, and additional charges were minimal and very fair. We plan to use Stirling again for future projects.
