After a bit of a rough start with some communication issues, our driveway was finally re-paved by JH & Sons Paving and it looks absolutely wonderful! We had some difficulties in the beginning where Jim would say he’d call with a day the job would be done, but then that day would come and go with no call. He did call me back when I’d call him, but then he wouldn’t call with the schedule as promised. The good news is that we worked through all of that. I’m very glad we did, because we now have a driveway that looks great. The edges are straight and smooth as promised, including the extra area we have on the side for turn-arounds. His crew was efficient and neat. There was no debris left over and everything was cleaned up when they left. And Jim was polite, professional and respectful during the job. If you’re going to do business with them and have a strict deadline – I’d suggest you make that clear at the beginning … but you won’t be disappointed with their work. And … the price was reasonable! Thank you, Jim, for working with me and for the great job by you and your crew!

John showed up later the same day I called and gave me a good price and quote for timing, and was willing to negotiate with me a little to get the price into a range I was comfortable with. Our driveway was paved within a week, and it looks beautiful. It's only been 5 months since it was completed, so time will tell how it holds up, but so far I'm very happy with it

All my communication was through Jim. He got back to me quickly, gave me a price quickly and performed the job in a professional/quality manner. He and his guys were respectful to my property and left no mess whatsoever. Great to work with.

The process went well. The issues began a few weeks later. One of the areas that was expanded began to crack open due to what appears to be lack of proper preparation and the ground settled underneath. We called and they came out once to inspect. They let us know they could repair the cracks and other smaller flaws in the driveway and would do so with material left over at the end of another sealing or paving job. Weeks went buy and numerous phone calls to no response. My favorite responses were, "we have not forgot about you, we will be out to fix it" and "business is very slow right now and we just don't have the jobs". Winter came and the driveway was not fixed. So this year, we thought that we could get them to come out and make the repairs and seal the driveway. My wife called and we got no response to her message. I called about a week later and was able to speak directly to them and was told on a Wednesday that they would be out on Thursday to look at the issues and give us a quote for the sealer. We waited a week with no quote or call to discuss the existing issues. We discovered while looking for their number in 2014 that they had multiply pictures of our driveway on their web site. My wife called back this week to ask why we did not get a quote and her call was not received well. JH and Sons indicated that they told me they would not be out for weeks to give me a quote. She was at one point referred to as "missy". The call ended with our request to remove our pictures from their websites as we would not be a good recommendation for their business. We decided to use the services of Jet Black Driveway Services to fill in the cracks and seal the driveway. One other issue arose in that they did not take enough of the existing driveway out immediately in front of the garage so that now we get water in the garage during hard rains and when it snows. This is a problem that we will live with unfortunately. There web site says 100% customer satisfaction. Clearly not a true statement.

JH and Sons Paving were doing other driveways in our neighborhood. We were interested in having work done on our driveway. It was pointed out to us that water was not draining away from the garage and house as it should be. First we decided to have the work done on the driveway. We were really pleased with the outcome. We had been aware of this because some of the shrubs by the house had previously died and a landscaper said it was because they "don't like wet feet." We did not realize that it was something structurally that we could/should correct until JH and Son told us so. We decided to proceed to correct the problem. After regrading the walks they put in new pavers, and moved landscape plants to suit the new design. They were very courteous and professional. They have lots of big equipment which allowed the, to complete this job in only a couple of days. They left everything in good order, re-seeding areas as needed. We are enjoying our new driveway and walkways.

JH and Sons Paving, Inc I have had paving services, recoating, and plowing services from this company since 1998. In 1998, they replaced a driveway which had been improperly installed by another company prior to my purchase of our home. JH was fair and very competitive with their pricing then and continue to be so. Their work has always been top notch. They come in, start, carry out, and complete the job very efficiently. Their trucks and crews are meticulous. One can see the pride their workers take in their jobs and in their work. I have recommended them numerous times over these past 16 years and have always received very positive feedback from those who have followed up and used their services. Even my boss used their company for a large driveway at his new home and is very pleased with JH Paving (and I still work for him). I have NO reservations recommending JH and Sons Paving wholeheartedly. They are very trust worthy, honest and competetive. A+ rating from me.

Everything was great. The men were very thorough with the estimate and letting me know exactly what they needed to do. They were very professional and my driveway looks beautiful. Their equipment is up to date and meticulous.
