We recently had Keith from Overmyer Roofing come out to assess a condensation spot on our second-floor ceiling. From the moment he arrived, he demonstrated an impressive level of expertise and professionalism. He quickly identified the issue, clearly explained the cause, and even took the time to show my wife and me exactly what was going on. What truly stood out was Keith’s honesty and integrity. This job went so smoothly we are still pinching ourselves. This company is so professional, and their work is impeccable. This was a big job and the roof is beautiful. The did not take any shortcuts, including removing the old shingles which was important to us. How refreshing to hire a company that has integrity and takes so much pride in their work! They worked as a team, kept the property clean and after the job was complete, they cleaned up the grounds. We have not found one stray nail or piece of metal. We now have the metal roof we have always wanted on our log home. I highly recommend this company.

Overall I believe Overmyer Construction is capable of doing quality work. However the work being done is being RUSHED. What I noticed is everything is being pushed to an extreme pace to just "Get The Job Done Fast" and Quality is suffering because of that. The Kitchen floor ceramic tile installation, This was a basic install of a kitchen floor. The kitchen was already taken apart the room was empty and the floor was taken down to the sub floor by myself. Overmyer Construction's job was to replace the sub floor and install a ceramic tile floor. Problem #1 installing the sub floor a nail gun was being used where decking screws would be the proper way to do the job (shortcut-big hurry). Problem #2 the hardy-backerboard was also installed with nails (not approved screws). Note Overmyer Construction's estimate for the job says "using approved screws" THAT MEANS KNOWS HE DID THE WRONG THING USING NAILS. The tiles were installed in a huge hurry, there are several spots the tiles are extremely misaligned and the spacing is extremely off, up to 1/2" off . Ceramic tile has to be installed with rubber spacers and rubber spacers were only used on about 1/4 of the entire floor. If the installer ran out of spacers, Home Depot is 3 miles up the street. I now know that Home Depot ceramic tiles are seconds and vary in measurement these tiles varied up to 3/32 of an inch. Knowing that tiles vary you would think that close attention would be paid to this while installing the tiles? My Question is would Overmyer Construction want this ceramic floor to be an advertisement for their business. Overall I feel that Overmyer Construction should be embarrassed to say they installed this floor. And then there is price, 1825 is high end for this job considering the kitchen was already cleared out and taken down to the sub floor. I would not have minded this price if the job was done right and attention to detail was paid. Unfortunately it was not. Overmyer Construction needs to emphasize on Quality, not the amount of jobs they can bang out for fast cash. That's my opinion! If a job is not going to be done 100% correctly and 100% quality then why bother, If Overmyer Construction continues this type of work, then they will not last as a business. To sum it up SHORTCUTS (hence nail gun instead of taking the time to use screws the way the job needs to properly be done) How much longer would it have been to just use screws the way it's suppose to be done?? another 15 minutes?? The nails instead of screws could actually cause the floor to fail at some point in the future causing cracked tiles, flexing and etc. Any job where shortcuts are being taken will probably have issues in the future. I would not recommend Overmyer Construction to anyone.
