LOWE'S

The installer provided by Lowes was not on time, frequently missed appointments, and often left early. When I called Lowes they would call the installer who would promise to complete the install. A little work would be done and I was back to contacting Lowes. The work began in April 2015 and as of today 9 Sep 2015 has not been completed. Since I charge the work to my Lowes card and they refuse to refund I am trying to work with them to complete this very slow installation; but my patient is running very thin. I would have rated F but the work is not yet completed. What has been done by the first contractor lousy and by the other good. None of the work is excellent. Lowes have offered discounts on items I ordered to complete the job because the first contractor made an incomplete estimate omitting a lot of things that were needed. If work is not done soon I will have to get the BBB and Attorney General office on contractor disputes involved. Just a bit of advice. Make sure you ask Lowes who they are contracting the work out to and due your due diligence to see if the contractor has a good reputation before signing the contract. Remember at Lowes you pay for the work upfront and they are extremely reluctant to refund at the Bartonsville/Stroudsburg site. Lowes hired a company that subcontracts to individual contractors. This company frequently overbooks and thus contractors are not available to do the work when a problem such as mine arises. The first contractor sent out was sent to do 1100 square feet of tile in a weekend. Even I knew he could not do this and try to be accomendating in allowing two to four weeks but when he constantly miss appointments and showed up for only 3 to 4 hours work once I knew that this installation was going be a problem.

My review is based on the free estimate only. We felt the price for the product was to high and the product was not the best quality, therefore did not continue forward with this company.

Before the warranty expired, I called and said I wanted an extended warranty. They said it was not their policy. I asked them why a customer spends over $2,000 and gets a warranty and they do not tell me extended warranties aren't available. I talked to the manager. He had no explanation. He said he was sorry, it was the companies policy. The tractor was $1400. I said "How come the respresentatives don't explain how the warranties work before you buy"?

I asked the salesman at Lowe's besides the original contract if I could purchase an extended warranty. I got the best they could offer. I found out that it expired this year in March. I called Husqvarna to ask why they didn?t notify me this was expiring. They said there were no extended warranties available. I asked why in the world they didn?t tell me this when I purchased it. They said it?s the responsibility of the manufacturer. I called them and they said no, they do not do the warranty. When Lowe?s call them about a warranty, they notify the people that do the repairs. I went down to Lowe?s today and spoke to the manager, Jason. I told him the story and let him know that no one told me the warranty expired at the end of the original warranty when I was lead to believe I could have an extended warranty. He said it is company policy not to extend warranties. The people that worked there were very nice, I'm just displeased with the warranty department. I would never buy anything major here again.

The project went exceptionally well. The original sales person made sure the installer confirmed all the measurements and preplaned for any adjustments that would have to be made. The installer arrived on time on the date agreed upon with everything needed to get the job done. He was done within a couple hours, cleaned up and we cooked our first meal in our new appliances that evening.

The old dishwasher died and while it was not under warranty Lowe's still replaced it. I was at the store and my husband told the manager that our dishwasher wasn't working well that they had installed in 2009 even though it had been serviced twice. The manager offered to replace our dishwasher with a new one and even let us pay the difference to upgrade to a better model.
