Pams Cleaning is a family run business located in the heart of the Poconos, Stroudsburg, PA. We have been in business for over 25 years providing quality business cleaning services and office cleaning.. We have serviced law, medical and business offices in the Pocono Mountains, as well as select residential housing / homes. Our business prides on the work that we do and our thoroughness. Always highly reccommended for our dependabillty and reliability. We are not a corporate or franchise owned business and we have ongoing personal relationships with each of our clients.

"Pam Radick was hired as a housekeeper. As one of the lower cost options, her services at first seemed to be of reasonable value. However, you get what you pay for. We noticed that some areas were not thoroughly cleaned, but that was something we accepted initially. However, it appeared to get worse over time. When an independent housekeeper came in while Pam Radick was unavailable, they commented on how bad a job had been done. That's when we knew things were starting to go downhill. That wasn't the biggest issue. The biggest issue is that Pam Radick is UNTRUSTWORTHY. She has asked for double payment, and we have had to show her checks she already cashed to prove she was paid already. She apologized for her bad record keeping. Later on, she claimed to have done work for which there was no record of her entry into the building - all entries are to be logged; any other entry would not have been appropriate or permitted as she had been notified and apprised of. We gave her the benefit of the doubt and paid her anyway. Not long after, she started claiming she had not been paid. Again, we had bank records showing she had already been paid. Clearly her memory is not good and her record keeping is even more concerning. The last straw was when she refused to refund us back a balance owed after we prepaid her for work to be done - and she did not do that work. We even gave her painstaking accounting and documentation of each time she had gone in to our home according to the condominium entry logs PLUS giving her credit for times she claimed to have gone in without logging in - nevermind the inappropriateness of this. Even after all that documentation was given and it was proved that she owed us a refund, she still REFUSED to give that money back. We are no longer working with this woman who STEALS from her CLIENTS. (All of the above, by the way, can be proven as we have proof in writing.)"

Drapery cleaning services FAQs

You can usually hire a drape cleaning service, a general cleaning service, or, in some cases, a professional dry cleaner to clean your drapes. These professionals will have the experience necessary to deep clean your drapes and curtains without damaging the material. A drape and curtain cleaning specialist is your best bet, as they will have the right experience, tools, and professional cleaning solutions at their disposal for the best results possible.

In some cases, it’s possible to clean your drapes yourself, but usually only if you can machine-wash the drapes. You can check the “how to wash” tag on the drapes for instructions. If the tag is missing or if the material is dry-clean only, we recommend leaving the work to a professional drape cleaner. Performing the wrong type of cleaning or using the wrong cleaning solutions on sensitive materials can destroy your drapes. A professional drapery cleaner will apply the correct solutions for safe, deep cleaning.

The average cost for drape cleaning services is around $100 per drape set, with most homeowners paying between $75 and $150. The price you can expect to pay depends on the size of the drapes or curtains, the material, and the number of sets. One cost-saving method is to hire a professional drapery cleaner to refresh multiple sets in one service. Drapes that are dry-clean-only will likely cost a bit more, as the cleaning process is more involved and might require your professional to remove them from your home, clean them off-site, and then reinstall them later.

You should dry clean your drapes twice per year: once in the spring and once in the fall. Cleaning drapes in the spring will remove dust, pet hair, pet dander, and other contaminants that build up during the winter, and cleaning them again in the fall will remove pollen and other outside contaminants that accumulate in your drapes in the spring and summer. You should consider cleaning your drapes three or four times per year if you have a lot of pets or if someone in your household has severe allergies.

Drape cleaning can be an expensive process, but it’s very often worth the investment. A professional drapery cleaner will remove odors stuck in the fabric from cooking, painting, exercising, and pets. The deep cleaning process will also remove allergens like dust, pollen, and pet dander. Ultimately, drape cleaning can help your home look and smell fresh, and maintain a healthy indoor air quality. Paying a professional for drape cleaning is worthwhile because it guarantees your cleaning solution won’t damage the material and necessitates a replacement.
