Very professional, went as far as to wear shoe covers when walking in house. Did a terrific, and thorough job of explaining what he was doing and encouraged questions. Prices were very reasonable. Pointed out other things that could be done to improve the air flow and cooling system. Great overall experience, thanks SK.

We were in the middle of a heatwave and throwing a big wedding reception the next day at our house when our AC stopped blowing cold air. I called Saki in a panic late Friday evening at around 5PM and explained to him my situation. Without hesitation, he told me that he would extend his work day and come to my house (45 minutes away from where he was at) and try to fix my AC. He showed up to my house around 7PM and didn't leave until 9PM after making sure that my AC was working again. It turned out that my AC needed 3 lbs of refrigerant. I was with Saki the entire time he was at my house inspecting my unit. The entire time he was showing me his gauges and explained to me what things meant and how things worked and the possible problems that I was looking at. He couldn't have been more helpful and the fact that he showed up within a 2 hour notice on a Friday evening (after hours), really gave me comfort in using him as my go-to AC guy and recommending him to all of my family and friends. The first thing he told me when he arrived is that he looks at each customer's problems/AC & heating units as his own and tells himself and his clients that he must fix it for them as cheaply as possible. A lot of HVAC guys will try to hard sell you in buying new equipment when it's not really necessary. Saki told me that my AC unit is old and I should start budgeting for a new system, however, he told me that he would never recommend I buy a new system until the old one is 100% dead and he couldn't do anything to fix it. He told me he would rather have me spend small amounts to replace/fix my current unit than to have me spend thousands of $'s to buy a new system. His customer service is just as good as his HVAC skills/knowledge...they both exceeded my expectations. Go with SK Heating and Air Conditioning...you will definitely be more than happy you did and you'll never look back!

We have known and worked with Saki before as he has handled the maintenance and repair of our heating and air systems at a duplex we own for some time now. He had proven himself to be experienced and knowledgable so we knew he would be our go to guy for this install. Not to mention the fact that he is extremely trustworthy, while many companies are looking to make money at the expense of their customers Saki's main concern is his customer's well being by doing a quality job at a fair price. We couldn't be happier with our decision to use Saki. The guy is a workhorse, punctual, responsive, explains technical matters in an understandable manner, willing to go the extra mile by staying late or coming early, I really can't say enough. After searching on Yelp for an A/C repair guy the other night, I found SK Heating and Air Conditioning because it was rated one of the top A/C repair services in Philadelphia. I texted the proprietor ("Saki" - Greek) at 11:30 p.m. on a Tues. evening and expected a return call the following day. He texted me back at 11:45 p.m. After going back and forth with a few messages, he said he may be able to help me (the issue was the air on my top two floors would not get colder than 73 despite setting my central air to 69). We are currently going through a heat wave in the city (late-July, 2015) and I asked him how soon he could come over to inspect my HVAC system to see whether he fix the issue. He said the "earliest would be 3:00 p.m. tomorrow." I was ecstatic -- next day service! I met Saki at my home in Center City and he was 1) early, 2) polite, and 3) very knowledgeable. He tested the unit and figured out it was either one of two issues. The first issue was simply not enough refrigerant in the system; the second was some sort of clogged orifice. He filled the system with coolant (not freon, but the newer gas being used) and it did the trick. I needed 3 lbs. of the coolant and Saki charged me for 2 lbs. I hope I don't have any more A/C issues, but if I do, Saki will be my first call.

The gentleman who came to my home was running late due to a job that took longer than expected. He did call me though prior to my appointment to let me know which I thought was very nice. When he arrived, I spoke to him regarding some water issues I have been having in my basement and advised him that some of the individuals who came out said it could be my air conditioning unit. He looked at the indoor unit and outdoor unit and determined that the air condition was fine, as were all the fluid levels. There somehow was two filters in my unit (one was jammed in there from previous homeowner), so he removed that filter. Also tested my condensation line to make sure that wasn't clogged.

Fantastic. We purchased the deal on Angie's List because something was wrong with our unit but we didn't know what. We just moved in and between moving in, the heatwave, and the unit we knew we needed help. When I explained the problem to Saki over the phone, instead of scheduling an appointment for later in the week he told us he would be out that evening. Saki then drove from Norristown to west Philadelphia at the end of his day to look at our unit. He checked everything, provided advice (at our request) on what we should look for in filters (allowing for our preferences), and refilled the refrigerant. $90/lb, totally reasonable for us. We chose SK Heating and Air Conditioning not based on the positive reviews (although they helped!) but on the negative reviews. Many businesses on Angie's List lost our business before we even contacted them due to defensive or condescending responses to unhappy customers, regardless of right or wrong. When a business replies, you want to see replies like SK's - professional, polite, and willing to learn and improve based on all feedback provided. My husband was pleased with Saki's no-nonsense, no upsell approach to service. We will definitely bring Saki back in the fall to check and service our heater before the winter.

Saki returned my initial call within 20 mins. Made time in an already full schedule to come have a look. Arrived exactly when he said (it was 8pm- a long day!). Identified the issue (condensation)-- and pointed out that there was nothing wrong with the unit (he checked airflow, refrigerant levels, filter, etc). Instead-- and presume like many issues-- this was user error on our end. Saki educated us on how best to operate the system. Where a major chain would have charged both an appearance fee and likely labor (and parts)-- Saki's honest approach lead to a $75 total cost-- and a new and very satisfied customer. Bayard

Saki was very punctual and practical, and provided excellent service.

He was very responsive; he came on time and did the job efficiently. He told me the freon was running a little low, so though I bought a coupon for $49 I paid an additional $90 for the freon and that was fine. Everything seems fine and there were no problems.

My tenant wa upset that the cleaninbg did not include the air intake/filter area. I was surprised to see that a filter would be changed if we provided a new filter. If I ha realized that I would have changed it myself. My tenant reports dirt and dust from the furnace was left on the floor when the servioce was completed. The unit was thoroughly tested for mold and no growth was found. Whoever told the cleaners that there was mold was totally wrong and misleading them.

ok nice ..we added an additional a/c service while he was here that did not need anything additional Our only surprise was that we have never had a service done where they did not change the air filter. we had purchased and asked them to install but he said it did not need

Nice provider, and friendly. Provided the expected inspection/service. Took his time and provided some good information on potential things to replace at a later date. He replaced a part which was from the original unit so likely needed to be changed although the pricing was a tad high. Would likely use him again if we needed service.

We had great communication by cell phone leading up to the appointment, and that continued during the work. The check-up revealed a part that needed to be replaced (it was working, but it was old and worn and could fail). We were prepared for the possibility that our AC unit would be ready for some kind of work that wasn't included in the AL deal, and even so, I don't feel that we got a hard sell. And we were charged a fair price based on the range of prices we saw online for the same job. So for sure if our AC dies we will call SK first.

I've had other companies come out in the past to maintain my AC unit in the past. No one was as good as Saki was - very professional and very honest. Willing to spend time with me showing me why the current parts needed to be replaced. He told me what it would cost and was able to replace the parts on the spot. I will definitely have Saki come out again for AC maintenance and repair. Thanks Saki!

Our air conditioner had not been serviced in 3 years. They did a tune up and replaced a filter we bought for it, but discovered we were low on freon. They added a few pounds and talked us through the process. Very professional! Would use them again.

He is the best. Don't hesitate. He is honest, thoughtful, kind, on time and every other positive thing you can think of. Whatever you do, don't use anyone else!! I know I won't for both my AC and Heater needs. Cost was more than fair. On top of the initial fee for him to inspect, another $350 or so was needed to get the system running up to par. Better that than a new system and $20,000 worth of work. Thank you so much. What you did worked like a charm.

I bought the deal from SK heating and air on Saturday, talked to Saki on Monday and he came out promptly at 8 am on the following Saturday. He was very thorough, explained the problem and how to fix it and our air was working again with in an hour. So much better then the people our home warranty sent out. We will call Saki again in the Fall for a winter furnace check up.

Saki was clean and professional and explained exactly what he was doing. Was careful both inside and out. I expect to call him in the fall for my heater inspection. Sooo much cheaper than SILA. He really seemed to care about what he was doing.

Provider was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to explain my duct system and suggest an easy fix to help my upstairs get cool.
