+ -1 moreOh my god, are you kidding me? I've never had such an unprofessional experience. I called on Tuesday May 25, had to leave a voicemail. A couple hours later, a woman called me back and asked about my situation, said that they'd call me back. Two days later...hadn't heard a peep. Meanwhile, the pipes in my basement are on the verge of breaking, which she knew. So I try to call back. Someone answered the phone, but wasn't talking. I could hear movement on the other end, but no one talked. So after trying to get their attention a couple of times, I hung up and called again. Same thing. Seriously. The exact same thing. Someone answered but wouldn't talk. So I'm yelling "hello" into the phone....finally she says hello. I asked what's going on there, and she gets rude and hangs up. Real nice. I would NEVER hire this totally unprofessional so called company.
Description of Work: Pipes in my basement need replaced.

His workers where very courteous and did a quality job. I would. highly recommend Perti Plumbing and Heating to anyone.

+ 0 moreThe pipe work required entering a crawl space in well below freezing temperatures. The work was performed within hours of a call at my 91 year old mothers house. The work was done professionally with respect at all times. His two man crew repaired a number of items, over two days, as they were discovered. I would have no hesitation with recommending his services. I found him through Angies List and it worked well.
Description of Work: Repaired leaking pipes (2), new dryer exhaust, replaced washer water supply valve, restore gas service and supply new gas connection hose, repaired gas valve, added pipe insulation.

Description of Work: We needed to have a shower wall rebuilt in our hallway bathroom so we called Perti, who had done some work for us a couple of times previously. They explained what they would do and also gave us another option or two. |Since my husband is partially handicapped and was using a shower seat inside the tub at the time, we decided to remove the bathtub and install a walk-in shower. Perti did the demolition of the walls and rebuilt them using modern water-resistant materials and, after showing us a number of selections, installed the walk-in shower we chose. We have been very happy with the shower and the installation and would recommend this to anyone in a similar situation. They worked very cleanly, venting dust, etc., outside as much as possible. They laid dropcloths throughout the house over the path they followed to bring materials in and take refuse out, and cleaned up on a daily basis before they left. The job was completed in just a couple of days with minimum inconvenience to us. We felt the price was fair and have since hired Perti to replace our laundry tub and faucets in the downstairs laundry room. Also a satisfactory job.

+ -1 moreThis was an emergency call, and of the 3 plumbers I called, they were the first to be able to come out. They did the work thoroughly and quickly. They noticed that my emergency turnoff valve was missing a handle, and attached one for no extra charge. When they attached a handle, they noticed that the valve had a slow leak. They helped me look for a main shutoff valve so they could replace the emergency turnoff valve (I live in a apartment building converted to condos, so there wasn't one for just the condo). This included exploring a crawl space (ick!). The main plumber, Justin, was very personable and professional. They were a godsend!
Description of Work: Cleared a clogged toilet.

+ -1 moreLou got back to me with an estimate right away and when some unforeseen snags came up he stuck to his initial price. The path of the line had to go around my 5 year old son's garden and the backhoe Lou was initially planning to use was too big and the garden would have been destroyed. Lou went out of his way to find a smaller backhoe that was able to dig around the garden and do no damage. After finishing the install there was a problem with some of the tubing they used and Lou sent his guys back first thing the next morning to fix the issue. Overall they did great work and his crew were awesome to have around while they did the work.
Description of Work: They installed a gas line through the back yard of approx. 150 feet from my gas meter to a new pool heater.

+ -1 moreWe had a leak in our upstairs bathroom that leaked down into my son's bedroom. The first plumber we contacted said it would cost $1700 to fix. When we got an appraisal from our insurance company we asked if they could recommend any plumbers. They suggested Perti. We called them and after they stopped by to check things out, they quoted us a price way lower than the other plumber.
Description of Work: Removed leaking copper pipe and installed new PVC pipe.

+ -1 moreI called Perti Plumbing first thing on Monday morning. I explained the situation. I was asked if it was an emergency and told them, no, but it needs to be fixed today, I guess it would be classified as an emergency. The sink can't be used. I was told if they could rearrange the schedule someone would be out that morning and if not, they would be out in the afternoon. Two employees came around 3:30pm - my husband showed them to the sink and left them to do their job. They snaked the drains and cleared the clog. They were here for 45 minutes. All in all the experience was pretty painless.
Description of Work: Our kitchen sink got clogged on Sunday night. It's a double sink and the clog was beyond the two elbow pipes in either sink. If you tried to use a plunger all you did was move dirty water from one sink to the other.

+ -1 morePerti was good about returning our calls promptly and gave us a very reasonable estimate compared to others. The work was completed quickly and with a minimum of disruption. They were able to restore water to one bath/shower and the kitchen sink within a day although the entire job took a few days total. The employees of the company were friendly and respectful. While I would describe the quality of the work as "good" there was one minor leak after the job was complete that required a quick fix. In addition, the painter we later hired to paint over the replaced drywall described the workmanship on the drywall patches as being merely adequate. My impression is that all the work was done to emphasize speed and price. I don't think this was a bad trade off though and I would work with them again.
Description of Work: Perti Plumbing did a re-plumb on our entire house to replace faulty polybutene pipes and fittings. They had to remove drywall to access some of the pipes but the replacement of the drywall to a "ready to paint" state was part of the job cost.

+ -1 moreTHEY WERE THERE ON TIME, VERY FRIENDLY, AND THEIR PRICE WAS NOT HIGH IN COMPARISON TO OTHER PLUMBER THAT HAD GIVEN A PRICE FOR THE SAME WORK. FOR THE SAME WORK, A PLUMBER GAVE US A COST OF $650. THE $650 PLUMBER WAS SENT ON HIS WAY.
