I contracted JJD in March 2013 for a very large ( $75k ) job that was suppose to take about 5 -8 weeks. By mid June they blamed in on the weather, by July they claimed much of delay was due to changes. In August they stopped showing up on a daily basis. The Township eventually towed their trailer away on Oct 21 as it was considered abandoned according to the police. They have not returned my calls or email since early September. I have to hire another contractor to finish the project and I am lots of money. Their logo is "Transforming your dreams into reality " I should be "Transforming your dreams into nightmares"

We met with multiple companies for this big job. Some companies were just clueless, including one company that said that if we cut some of the old/cracked pool deck, then the pool might collaps into itself. One other company wanted $1,200 for the design. We had a design in mind and felt that it was totally unnecessary. Then we met with Savvas from JJD. He immediately understood what we were trying to achieve. He then took some measurements and came back a few days later with a drawing that reflected what we wanted and more. He also brought a few catalogs from which we could choose the materials. After a few iterations, we zeroed in on the design, materials and pricing. Savvas was great throughout the process - he gets what you want very quickly and comes back with great input. JJD's price was competitive and we decided to hire them based on the chemistry with Savvas and Savvas's promise to start quickly and finish in two weeks, which would allow us to use the new patio for the summer. We made a GREAT decision. The team showed up on time, did a GREAT job and finished in 9-10 days. We could not be any happier from the end result. It is exactly what we wanted. It is beautiful, functional and well built. I am writing this review after the August rains and Hurricane Irene and can confidently say that drainage is perfect. Another thing to mention: a few weeks after JJD finished the work (and got my full sign off) we walked on the new grass JJD seeded and found that it is covered with debris (little rocks) from the old concrete surfaces. I called Joe (the owner) and asked him to rectify this issue. He immediately agreed that it needed to be rectified and within days sent a crew that raked the lawn, filled a large area with top soil and re-seeded. Simply outstanding. I will hire this company again without hesitation.
