They charge $125 for quote, they should at least tell you up front. With that fee they should at least give you a written quote, but a week went by with no quote and they still cashed the deposit. I really don't understand the A rating.

I have used Powell Pump and Well at least 3 or times now and am a little late writing a review. They repaired my well, which was leaking, installed a UV light to purify my well water, and even serviced some interior equipment. In all cases, they were fair, professional, and reasonably priced. I will definitely hire them again.

It went well. We are confident that our water meets the highest standards of purity and quality. The cost was $6,534. It was money well spent.

The rep that arrived was very nice, did a full diagnostic and brought back the info to the office to produce the quote. Results: -quoted products that were not required (via extensive personal research). MY COMPLETE "ALL NEW" SYSTEM WAS UNDER 3,500 AND 650.00 INSTALL FROM A LICENSED PLUMBER. DONT BE SCAMMED BY THIS COMPANY.

It was fine, there was one miscommunication that was addressed when discovered. And they were accommodating and fixed it.

Very well! They ordered the new equipment and installed it promptly with no issues.

I forget his name (sorry!), but the gentleman who looked at the pump let us know that it failed because it had to fill a holding tank that was too small; because the holding tank was small, the pump continuously turned on and off when water was running, and this on/off cycle contributed to a shortened life of the pump. He suggested that we add a sort of regulator, which would keep the pump on for longer and regulate water pressure - for a couple hundred dollars, he assured us we would see a longer life of our new pump. In addition, he helped us to secure a warranty replacement of our old pump, which was still covered for another 2 weeks (lucky, right?). I am VERY happy with the work performed and with the way everything went. I'm sure I could've gotten this work done for less, but I doubt I would have gotten this kind of quality.

They were great. They came out very quick and the guy walked me through it and he gave me a bunch of different options of how we could handle it. So, he could have patched our system, instead of digging up the whole well first and then dug up the well. So he was willing to work with me in kind of delay it by a few days and then dig up the well and so on. They were the cheapest.

They did a great job, nice job in cleanup. Just excellent.

Technician was on time. I explained the problem and he told me what he thought would solve the problem. He went into the well pit and explained what he was doing. After his repair he tested the well pump and the holding tank. Everything worked as it should. The technician was knowledgeable and he answered all my questions. I am happy with my experience with the Edward Powell company and I will use them again when needed.

Very professional. Promptly answered phone and arranged time and date of inspection. They were very clear about what components would be tested during the inspection as well as the cost. They called and emailed to confirm date and time of the inspection. The person that inspected the well , Mike, was very knowledgable and friendly. He took the time to put on shoe covers before he entered the home and explained each step of the inspection. I was very satisfied with the entire well inspection process due to the professionalism of this company.

This company is family owned and operated. From the owner to the Secretary, very professional and knowledgeable! Our technician Chris even educated us on signs and symptoms of potential problems. He answered all of our questions thoroughly. I received an easy to understand report with a maintenace schedule. Very grateful of them giving us peace if mind. This company will keep my business.

After talking to a number of HVAC contractors most recommended Powell Pump & Well Drilling. The one contractor who did not name Powell did not provide any recommendations of other providers either. Based on the numerous recommendations I decided to give Powell a call to determine feasibility and get a quote. He promptly returned my phone call and setup an appointment to meet. The day of the appointment Ed arrived on time. After a short discussion of what I was looking to do, and which contractors I had spoken with we took a walk of the site and then determined some possible locations for the wells. Ed provided a thorough explanation of the process, from equipment to be used, how that equipment would access the site, what steps would be taken to comply with environmental regulations, depth and number of wells, how the wells would tie into the building. He made it all seem very routine to him, and explained everything that would happen along the way, including which items were his responsibility and which items would be the HVAC contractors responsibility. After meeting and talking with Ed I feel confident he would be the best person for the job. Ed followed up by phone a few days later to check on the status of the decision. In the end I chose not to go with the geothermal system, and thus will not be using Powell Pump and Well Drilling. However, if that changes in the future, I'll be giving Ed a call for my wells.

Very good. He did it properly. He came out really fast. Within a day or two. I think I called him of a Friday and he came on Monday morning. He's easy to deal with. The price is reasonable.

Powell had inspected our well during a home sale and done a thorough, fair job of assessing the condition of our well and related equipment. We had recommended service performed - replace switch, add air to tank - and are very happy with the outcome. Powell squeezed us into a packed schedule on short notice and we really appreciated that - especially given that our regular plumber would have taken a week to get to us. Two-man crew was professional, neat, and helpful with explanations of service and results.

David Powell was really friendly, and arrived when he said he would. David had to come over a few times in the beginning to insure the wells location was correct, based on two separate contractors proposals. His crew arrived on time and the job was done to my satisfaction.

In the fall of 2013 we commenced with replacing our old oil fired furnace with a geothermal heat pump. The process included bring both a mechanical equipment installer and a ground loop installer/boring specialist. After interviewing 3 prospective drillers, we hired David Powell of/with Edward Powell Pump and Well Drilling. David immediately struck us as a knowledgable professional, well versed in geothermal heat pump installations, the system requirements, the ground loop installation and its details. Powell performed two portions of our geothermal installation: (1) the installation of the ground loop and (2) the final connection of the ground loop in the basement to the heat pump unit. David estimated the installation of the ground loop to take 3 days and the complete installation took exactly three days. Two 400 foot wells were drilled, the ground loops installed, bentonite grouted, routed into the basement, and pressure tested. The second phase occurred one week later. Once the heat pump unit was installed another of Powell’s crews performed the completion of the ground to unit connection, flushing and purging the ground loop, and charging the system with the water/anti-freeze mix. All of the ground loop, from the well loops to inside the basement, and to the unit, were socket fused HDPE—the correct and preferred materials and joining method. After the cold winter we had in January through March 2014 the ground loop temps remained a very good levels, indicating the installed ground loops are functioning well, and as designed. During both phases Powell’s crew were the utmost professionals, focused on their work, performing their tasks efficiently. We were very happy with all aspects of the work Powell performed and recommend them to anyone considering installing a geothermal heat pump system. A truly outstanding outfit.

We have used Powell for many years, in our first home and now in our current home. The most recent work was to install a water softner and filter. Chris Powell came out to give us an estimate. He was very professional. He was running a few minutes late, but the office called to make sure that was not a problem. Chris explained the type of system that would be installed, extra maintenance costs, the installation time, and the earliest they could install the system. He answered all my questions. We agreed to the estimate. The service men arrived on time and tried to make as little impact on my day as they could. They were done in 4 hours. They explained everything to me, showed me how to change the filter and add salt, and answered all my questions. A few days ago I called the office to ask a question about the salt tank and they put one of the service men on the phone to immdeiately answer my question. We will continue to use Powell for many more years and highly recommend them to everyone.

They did wonderfully. They came out immediately, had great communication, explained the process as it was happening to me, worked within my time constraints, I felt that they did a great job, that they were an advocate for their customer and provided a fair price.

We were very pleased with the service provided. They did their best to get us on the scheduled ASAP which was great because we could not drink our water until another bacteria report showed the absence of the bacteria. They ordered the system and were able to install in a few days later. The well had to be chlorinated to kill bacteria which means you need to run water a long time before it is through the system, this is probably the biggest hassle other than not being able to drink water until a clear test result was given by the lab. We were without drinking water for about 2 weeks total from the time we initially found out the initial water test had bacteria. We drank bottled water during that time but were allowed to shower with our home's water.
