NARBERTH UPHOLSTERY

We had used Narberth before so I called them. They were able to give a preliminary estimate based on photos that I sent (which they confirmed after they saw the piece), picked up the table promptly and finished it exactly when they said they would. The result is breathtakingly beautiful. I couldn't be more pleased or thrilled. This process wasn't inexpensive and I can't say anything about the price since I have no basis for comparison. They had done work for me many years ago for a good price and I trusted them with my precious table.

I spoke with Joe Kaiser to initiate service and was given a price and a time frame upon receipt of the fabric. He said two week eta was all he needed. I tried several times to contact him via phone with no response three weeks into the job to check status. I finally was able to contact him on his cell via text to be told it was his day off and not to bother him. Six weeks later and over budget I was called - and quot;am I coming to get my chair or not?and quot; I do not appreciate being treated so poorly and paying for the privilege-

They did a great job repairing the webbing on our 20 year old leather setitonal and replacing all of the seat cushions. Feels like a new sofa. Came on time for the estimate, did the work as scheduled, at a reasonable price and all was done correctly the first time. I would definitely use Narbeth Upholstery again.

He was very responsive. He came and picked the peices up and dropped them off when they were finished. I got him from Angie's List where he was highly recommended. The price was very reasonable.

We had a large ottoman re-upholstered, and it looks great. The quality of workmanship was really good. And, I think the price was reasonable. This seems to be a relatively small and busy operation. The focus is clearly on the quality of work and less on keeping strict business hours / fast response to phone calls. As another reviewer had mentioned, the hours are limited and do vary from those posted. My recommendation is to always call ahead to confirm availability. I would have other work done here in the future, understanding that it may take a little longer or need more phone calls or coordination to have the job done. What you trade off in convenience and availability, you receive in quality of work.

The owners name is Joseph Kaiser. He recovered an antique love seat and he is fixing an antique chair for me too. He did the love seat and it is beautiful. He is meticulous and he does the extra step. He not only recovered the chair and did beautiful piping work but he reinforced the seat and re-glued the joints. It is lovely and his work is detailed and meticulous. This sort of work is going out of fashion and there are not a lot of people who do this kind of work anymore. He is a younger guy and he seems dedicated at what he does. He was a pleasure to use and he was professional. He picked up and dropped my furniture at no additional cost. He was done when he said he would be done. It was just a pleasure to deal with him. When I found him on Angie's list he preferred to be contacted by phone and he was not aware he was on Angie's list. He is all word of mouth and I have not seen advertisement for himself. I am sorry to be moving out of the area and he is one of those people whose card you would want to keep and always send work to. His word of mouth is more local. He gives you really good value for your money and he is punctual and professional. The quality of work is great. I would use him again.

The estimate for recovering the six dining room chair seats was reasonable (not the lowest, but close). These chairs are at least 90 years old and the upholstery was, if not original, well over 60 years old. Once they were stripped, additional repairs to the frames were seen to be needed which added $5/chair. This was reasonable. The result is excellent. We're "happy campers."

Joe came and gave me estimates, picked up the pieces and then dropped them off when they were finished.
