Kevin was an absolute pro. Kindly taught a newbie homeowner how to unclog the igniter in the future, and also checked after fastening the dishwasher to make sure plumbing was in good shape - which was when he discovered rotting parts underneath. Very happy to have found him and will go to him for all future appliance fixes!

Costello's promptly returned my call, scheduled for two days later and charged a very reasonable cost. Kevin was great to talk with and completed the fix efficiently, in a short amount of time. Would highly recommend.

It turned out to be a much more extensive repair than just the tumbler and wasn't worth doing for a 40-year old dryer.

He also noticed that the coating on the ice maker had chipped off and the ice maker was no longer safe to use, so he removed it. Kevin is friendly and professional - a pleasure to do business with!

I have used Kevin and Costello Electric a couple times before. Kevin came in and immediately went to work on the dishwasher. With very little info, he diagnosed the problem as a jammed motor from some piece of glass. In no time, he had the motor unjammed, ran and tested. I had an email receipt in my inbox before he walked out the door. This was another great experience with Kevin and I can't recommend him enough!! Thanks!!

Provided advice on gas leak in range. Identified three causes and made recommendations about least troublesome gas ranges {GE}. Based on this, we purchased a new range based on the fact that it no longer made sense to keep repairing the current range.

The communication was very poor. I was told to use email but he would take days to write back and not fully answer my questions. When he told me he would call back later that day, he never did. I gave up on email and had to call serveral times to get answers. He did the repair well but it took 1 1/2 weeks longer than promised and the process was frustrating.

My appt went great. Frank came out promptly, did a thorough diagnostic check, and made some minor repairs. He was very personable and discussed other appliance repairs as well. I would gladly use this vendor again and recommend to others.

They were very upfront that they couldn't get to us for several days, but recommended another company, Jeff Levy, who may be able to do the work. I don't recall ever having a contractor refer another contractor when they can't make the appointment. Very classy and much appreciated.

I would give Costello's Electrical Service As straight across. I would use them again in the future. He came on short noticed, diagnosed the problem immediately, fixed the problem, and was very reasonable in cost. He knew exactly what he was doing and it was not expensive.

I called for a repair on Monday, I was told the earliest they could be out was Wednesday afternoon. The repairman called about 20 minutes before his 2:30 arrival. He was very courteous. The machine was actually functioning for him. He explained that the only part that effects the water filling function is a certain switch. He checked the narrow air hose that regulates that switch and found it to be clogged. He cut out a small section of the hose that was clogged, reattached it and all was well. He explained that once the pressure that had built up in the hose after a few consecutive loads of wash had eased, the lint clogging the hose would have loosened up and allowed the switch to function. All in all, a great experience, took about 20 minutes to resolve, the repairman was friendly, informative, and honest. $82.50 seems like a lot for 20 minutes, but happy to pay for an honest and quick fix.

Our rented apartment had an old dryer that was steadily getting less and less efficient until it finally died. This item wasn't covered by our lease, so we had to seek repairs ourselves. The top choice appeared to be Costello's. I contacted Costello's via the site, and I got a quick response back from Kevin Costello that his schedule was currently too full. A short exchange of emails later, I had a recommendation of an alternate repairman to contact. A repairman, I might add, that we were satisfied with. While he didn't actually perform any services for us, his responsiveness and professionalism warranted a positive review.

The service call was wonderful and I can't wait to start using my oven! I will absolutely use Costello's again for my other applicances.

Kevin, from Costello Electrical, immediately diagnosed the problem on our phone call and told me the repair would be approximately $300.00. It was a faulty control panel and a new control panel would cost about $180.00 for the part. Replacing the dishwasher would be about $1,500 for a new one, including a custom wood front panel to match our cabinets. So we opted for the repair. Kevin told us the part would take about a week to arrive. We got a call as soon as it did, and Kevin came out to make the repair the next day. The bill came in less than the estimate. This is the first time we used Costello Electric and I'd use them in again for sure. Nice folks to deal with!

The scheduled service appointment was for the Monday afternoon when Hurricane Sandy hit the area. I received an early call cancelling the appointment because of the severity of the storm. The service call was made on Tuesday morning to check a washing machine. Kevin returned with the needed part by 3:30 in the afternoon. This is the second time I've called on Costello's. I've known only prompt, reliable service from this company.

He knew exactly what to look for and replace a failed component quickly. Highly recommend.

I checked your list and found a number of appliance repair services near us. I chose Costellos's because of the many positive comments on the services most relevant to my need. I sent him an email with specified time that I would be available and he called the same evening. He told me he's very busy and had work backed up for a week but he could come out the following week which was fine for me as it wasn't super urgent. A few days later he sent email to confirm the appointment and specified the time as we had agreed. He came right on time yesterday and repaired the washing machine. The problem was the drive belt as we thought but he took the time to check it out for possible causes for the problem. He tilted the heavy appliance to look at the gear/drum at the bottom. He leveled the machine to restore proper balance for the spin cycle. He test ran it before he pronounced it done. All the while he gave me advice as how best to keep the old machine running and the amount of remaining useful life I can expect of the machine. At my request he took time to evaluate the old microwave and stove/oven that are built-in appliances in my kitchen and gave suggestions as to how we might replace them without doing a major renovation.

They are very responsive and do good work. Their pricing is very fair; you get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend them to others.
