I was very impressed with them and the service. They were both very punctual.
Description of Work: Half of our landscape lights didn't work anymore. Two young men from Brad Brown came out identified the problem within five minutes fixed it within an hour. They were very professional. They showed me what they had done. The price was reasonable. Good work!

We contacted brad and he came right out and examined property and gave a competitive estimate. He was able to start and complete the project quickly. He left the house clean. Brad and his crew were very professional and helpful when explaining work completed. The work completed and price were great. I would recommend Brad Brown to anyone needing electrical work. We will definitely use him again in the future.

His work is done professionally. He double checks to make sure everything is to your liking too. We had one set back with one of the high hat fixtures. I purchased the parts and one of the high hats was defected. A few days after having the work done Brad had to come back to re check the work and discovered the one high hat was defective. Once I picked up new appliance he had to come back to install it which would have cost another service fee and he was kind enough to waive the fee for us. I can't tell you that it is so refreshing to see this coming from a contractor especially today as we all know time is money!! Oh yeah Brad also came to our house a year prior to install a separate line for our dryer. We found him to be so sweet and very knowledgeable so we decided that if we did need any future work we would keep him in mind. Glad we did.

Initially, I wanted another opinion - what happen was brad was able to review my current quote and we discussed all the aspects for the pricing and sections for the quote. Brad was ok with me going with another electrician as I had done my homework. I just wanted to make sure I was making a good choice for my family and home . Extremely professional and nice. Thanks Brad
Description of Work: Brad was great. Answered and gave me tons of information that I needed in order to compare the job. In the future, I would give Brad's number to a friend for electrical work.

In a little over 30 minutes, Brad diagnosed the problems of my 2 light fixtures not working and installed a kitchen light fixture (that I purchased) and 2 light switches. He's very efficient, and does a great job. He's also very honest and ethical--- I asked him if I needed to upgrade to a 200 amp service and he said that there was no need; he could have suggested to get the service and made an extra $1,000.00 or more, but he didn't. He is so cool that he said if I ever had any kind of electrical questions he would gladly help me solve my problem. I'll definitely refer Brad to family and friends.

Brad was great from start to finish. From answering the phone promptly to being helpful on the phone to being accommodating to setting up a time to come give an estimate on a house we were considering buying that had knob and tube wiring. Brad showed up on time, was extremely efficient and professional. He is a knob and tube expert, as he has great experience in Havertown which is just awash in the stuff. He was able to quickly assess the situation and provide an estimate as to what it would cost to remediate the situation (standard homeowners insurers will no longer insure houses that contain knob and tube wiring). Brad was great, and I would absolutely call him again.

This guy never showed for the first schedule appointment. I was really mad because I had explained to him how many times I'd been ditched by contractors. Well, he made amends and came out today. I have not received a bill for his services but he and his guys were professional, tidy, and accurate in the installation of my project. The work involved cutting into wall board and fishing line threw multiple levels of my house. Everything was completed in a beautiful manner - clean, no wires in sight, very professional. I will have to do some painting when the patch dries but the outcome has left my home unmarred by unsightly wires. It took 2.75 hours for 3 guys at $85/hr.

Brad called back within 24 hours over a holiday weekend. He was punctual and professional. He even made suggestions to save us money and aggravation. He discovered two safety concerns, but because they were related, he only charged us for one. Brad installed a new quadruple outlet in the kitchen to allow us to utilize and light an otherwise useless corner of the kitchen counter. We will have Brad back to light our outdoor patio and deck in the future.

Brad Brown electric is professional, committed and knowledgeable about their electric work. Recently, we were closing for a house, and at the last minute, our loan required us to fix the electric work in the house we were buying. As a result we needed an electrician for immediate service. Brad Brown and his team of electricians went out of their way to fit us into their schedule, and then find the materials needed for the repairs. Whereas another company charged us thousands of dollars, Brad Brown managed to evaluate the list of problems and come up with safe, thorough alternatives, which cost us a fraction of the first estimate. Brad was honest with the estimates, and even explained how the other company was overcharging us for the work. He thought nothing of getting his team to the house to make the repairs, even in an impending snowstorm. We are now lifelong customers of his company ? we trust his decisions and his work and we will recommend him to all of our friends and family. Brad's main motivation was in helping us out, ad for this we cannot thank him enough. We cannot say enough positive words about Brad Brown.

Brad and his team consistently do excellent work. I think of him as where you go when you want something done right first time. His estimates have always been accurate, so you'll not be surprised with final charges that you'll have to waste time haggling, and I am 100% satisfied with the final result. I've took the trouble to review his latest project, because that shows you I had him back to our home, and it went very well again! I'd advise caution against trying to save a few dollars using someone inferior, I believe that will only buy you a result you are not happy with.

The fellows worked for hours to find the short, following the wiring in the attic. It turned out to have been run, presumably by the builder 50+ years ago, through a light fixture almost all the way across the house from the outlets themselves. They kept at it until they found it in a light fixture in the master bedroom closet, and fixed it. While I hadn't expected such a big bill, it wasn't their fault. The builder and/or the years since the house was built get the blame for that. Brad's two workers were prompt, kept the house clean, were pleasant to have here. No complaints. Brad was here at the beginning, and checked back in with his guys by phone and in person a couple of times. They did a good job, and I would definitely call them in the future. I guess my only complaint is that the replacement heaters seem to be either on full-blast or off. While there's a dial on the front, it doesn't seem to do anything. Just turned the heater on today, and I haven't read the directions (nothing on the front of the heater except that one knob), so it's possible that there's something in there about controlling the heat. I haven't called Brad about that yet, if I do need to. Not yet sure if the heater is just going to go off by itself at a certain point. I'll find that out today, I guess.
Description of Work: There were a lot of little issues that I needed taken care of, but the biggest one, as it turned out, was one group of electrical outlets that had stopped working. They fixed an indoor outlet, added a front yard outlet, replaced two wall heaters that weren't working correctly, and fixed the short in the wiring.

I did not hire him, even tho he sounded like he understood and was interested. Response from BRAD BROWN ELECTRIC
Every so often I make the mistake of answering the phone while driving and if I am not 100% on my game, I forget to make a note at a red light. I would never not call someone back intentionally. I believe this was early December when everyone is crazy about getting things done before the holidays. I am sincerely sorry for forgetting to call this customer back. It's funny because a friend of mine who is an electrical contractor actually called me and brought this review to my attention. She wrote the same thing in a review for his company. While I am apologetic for not calling back I think it is a bit heavy handed to give someone an F rating for not calling back at the busiest time of the year.I take pride in my reviews. If I am having a bad day I log on and read them and it reminds me why I love my trade. My vision is to serve, first costumers but I also want to serve my employees. I want working for me to enrich there lives and inspire them to grow into there highest potential in all areas of their life. The moral of the story is, This company is not your average company. We have values that we live by.I would never just consider someone not important enough to call back. Their frustration with other contractor has lead to her handing out F's to company she knows nothing about. The customer is always right, and, (not but) sometimes there frustration is misdirected. Those are my thoughts. Thanks for reading.

We purchased a new to us, but very old home in Bala Cynwyd. Although the previous owners put on the sellers disclosure that there was no problems with the electrical, it was clear during the home inspection that there were serious issues. We brought Brad Brown Electric in as a consultant during the inspection period and it was determined that basically, a whole house rewire was required. After settlement, they started the job. Everything was replaced new, from the breaker box to the light fixtures and outlets. We also added a few upgrades like recessed lighting and outdoor outlets. Their work was excellent from start to finish. The team was very professional and extremely tidy. They cleaned up at the end of each day and laid down protection in every room which kept the original floors safe. Communication was excellent. I received updates often from Brad and we texted pictures back and forth and even face-timed when decisions needed to be made and I was unable to make it over to the house. They were not the cheapest quote I received but I had a good feeling from the inspection and I am glad I used Brad Brown Electric. I am extremely happy with the end result.

Brad responded promptly to my initial phone call. Brad and his men showed up exactly when promised. He discussed the job with me and gave me a reasonable price range for each phase of the project. They were extremely professional and polite. They explained everything as they went along and, when it was possible, they offered me alternative ways of doing things. They put down drop clothes to contain any debris and did a great job of cleaning up afterward. The light fixture for the dining room was missing a vital part and they were able to source a replacement so that the job could be completed without delay. The project came in at the price I expected. I would recommend Brad unhesitatingly.

Brad Brown and his team did an excellent job. Before he started he gave me an estimate, which ended up being very accurate. Before I agreed to have him do the job, he talked to the HVAC people and told me that the new air conditioning I was having installed would probably work OK with the service that currently existed at the property, and that I didn't really need to have the work done. But I wanted to have it done, and I was very pleased with how the job got done. His men showed up when scheduled, and every day during the 4 day job cleaned up thoroughly before they left so that my tenants hardly knew that they had been there. Everything is working great.

I contacted Brad with several electrical needs including troubleshooting a few lights in the yard and installing a tv in the living room I had planned on purchasing. Brad came to my home and we went over several options for the television as well as a few theories on what could be happening with the landscape lighting. I appreciated very much that Brad challenged me on the set up of the tv rather than just agreeing with me and presenting a proposal. The collaboration was productive and we actually were able to learn from each other. Brad sent me a proposal within a few days. Most of his prices quoted a range rather than specific price. I had a few questions, which we discussed via email and over the phone. I found Brad to be very responsive and his answers were clear. Once we were able to solidify the details I scheduled the work. Brad and his team showed up on time and with everything they needed. The entire team was pleasant and knowledgable. They finished most of the work on the first day (as scheduled) and returned early the next morning to complete the work. Some of the work such as replacing the high voltage light could have been done by Brad and his team, but they were kind enough to explain what I needed so I could purchase and install the light myself. It took me less than five minutes to install the light. I truly appreciated the work that Brad and his team performed and wouldn't hesitate to contact him in the future.
Description of Work: Brad and his team performed several tasks: - Performed troubleshooting on driveway lamppost light and landscape lighting. - Dug up and repaired wiring for lamppost light. - Removed non-working high voltage landscape light and installed rocket post. - Ran HDMI wire from basement to living room behind walls. - Mounted 60" TV to living room wall. - Moved electrical box in basement bathroom so larger fixture could be installed.

This is the second time I have used Brad Brown, and it will not be the last. He has been responsive both times, came to my home promptly to give me an estimate, completed the work just as was contracted. He found a solution to putting a ceiling fan in my living room that had no ceiling electrical source. I am very happy with the work he has done. He and his assistant are pleasant and very respectful of my home and placed drop clothes and cleaned up after themselves.

Brad's estimates are thorough (when needed, as for service upgrade). His prices are not the lowest, but he and his workers do a competent job. Brad is very personable and takes the time to analyze the situation and discuss options when necessary. We only had one problem - the workers who installed the porch light, which we had bought at Home Depot, didn't leave us the manual - we asked for it back and it took several weeks for them to drop it off. I hope they learned from this that you should always ask the customer if they want the manual.

Great to work with. He had problems getting some of the highly specialized lighting fixtures we'd selected and rather than make us wait until everything came in, he made multiple trips to do the job. I know from personal experience that every time you start and stop a project, you lose efficiency.
