Brad and his assistant were very professional. They showed up on time and were very efficient in their work. The new panel is great. I would certainly recommend them.

We recently had a new roof put in, and the contractors put in an attic fan, which they said they should not connect (leaving it up to a professional electrician). We called three electricians (Electric Man, Martella Electric, and Brad Brown). While they were all responsive, professional, and relatively inexpensive, Brad was the best in every category. He called the day of the appointment (when it was 98 degrees outside) to see if we could meet earlier in the day, but I was unavailable. He came in the evening, quickly estimated the work, gave us a quote, and hooked everything up quickly. Afterwards, he showed us how to operate the temperature and humidity controls of the fan, and he offered to give us the name of a professional who could fix our loose pull down attic stairs.

Brad promptly scheduled a time and date to come give us an estimate on the work we wanted done. We were very pleased with his estimate, and after deciding to book with him were able to schedule a date for the work very easily. He arrived promptly with an assistant and they performed the requested work quickly and neatly. He made some adjustments to the inital quote as requested with no issues, changing the type of switch we were using for the fans. We are thrilled with Brad's work and will certainly use him again.
Description of Work: Brad installed two ventilation fans in bathrooms, including running new electrical for the fans and installing exterior vent in the attic. Additionally they changed one of our bathroom outlets to be always "hot" instead of connected to the light switch in that room.

The service was nothing short of spectacular from start to finish. Brad called to say he was on his way. He arrived exactly on time, worked incredibly h****** the job, and finished in a timely manner. He was extremely pleasant and helpful and I highly recommend his services. In fact, I previously had a much smaller job done by Brad. This was also a very positive experience.

Brad was very response from the first call. I had called because we had just had a home inspection and there were a few things that needed to be corrected. He was great on the phone and set clear expections around what to expect and the cost. He was very punctual and professional when he arrived to the do the work and the final cost was right on with the estimate he provided. I would recommend Brad and will certainly use him again in the future.
Description of Work: Brad performed the following repairs. In kitchen found loose outlet and tightened outlet screws as well as adding missing screw to plate cover. In kitchen found gfi outlet with reversed polarity and disassem bled to rem ake original electrical connections and rectified reverse polarity. Also added missing screw to plate cover. At circuit panel found 30 amp circuit breaker with rust on terminals and replaced. Also applied sealant to the top of the panel where the wire connectors m ay have been allowing water in the panel.

I called Brad Sunday after the hurricane knowing that things would be a little hectic with all the power issues that occurred. To my surprise he returned my call within a few hours. He knew that he would not be able to completely correct my issues, but stopped in the next day to be sure that my service would be OK to use until he could return and do the repairs. It took a while to get an appointment, but once I had a confirmed appointment, Brad and his team arrived as scheduled, were extremely professional and completed the job on time. Brad took the time to explain exactly what he was doing, why it needed to be done and how the job would be done. Now knowing the quality of workmanship that Brad does I totally understand why it may take some time to book him. A couple of my neighbors came over to inspect the job (with me being female they wanted to be sure I wasn't been taken for a ride) and were quite impressed with the workmanship. I was never nervous or uncomfortable about having the team in my house. They were neat, clean and policed the area when they completed their work. I appreciate the thoughtfulness and concern that Brad demonstrated and his willingness to assit me. Brad and team were at all time courteous and polite and even helped me get a heavy storm door up from the basement. I have more electrical work to be done and Brad is the only electrician I will use.
Description of Work: Replaced electrical line coming into the house, installed new circuit breakers and box, and upgraded the service to 200 amp. Also hired Brad a second time to remove a 220 line and run a line for a microwave.

We were selling a home and under serious time constraints. We found Brad on Angie's List and he was able to come out within hours of the first call. Brad spent over an hour on the initial visit discussing many options to solve my electrical problems. Brad and his team were courteous, creative and prompt. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and will be using him for my electrical needs in the future.

He's a great electrician....just terrific. He saved me a ton of money because I have several lights in my kitchen on one switch and it was overloading all the time. He found a way to rewire it instead of buying a new one, which would have cost me about a thousand dollars. He did a lot for a very reasonable price. He's also a really nice guy. I give him 100% highest grades.

Brad and his assistant Steve were great. I asked them to give me an estimate to fix an outdoor lamppost that hasn't worked in a few years. About 40 feet of underground wiring leads to the lamppost, including a stretch that goes under a stone walkway, so it wasn't easy to identify where the problem was. They stayed quite a long time (45 minutes or longer) to check it out and determined issues with the underground wiring as well as challenges in rewiring the existing post because of a cement foundation. Brad gave three options as a next step. Start from scratch and install a new lamppost with new wiring (probably about $1200), fix the existing wiring as a workaround and use the existing lamppost (probably about $600), or have him come back and explore for an hour ($125) to try to see if the underground wiring could be fixed more easily. Brad and I both decided the third option was best. He came back within a few days and quickly found a couple of problems -- two splices around the wrong type of wire. He and Steve had to work for over three hours but fixed it with minimal digging in our yard. They cleaned up beautifully. I was impressed with Brad's creativity in solving the problem and especially in spending time during the estimate phase (when he might get nothing out of it) to figure out some possible solutions.

WOW! What can I say. After spending much of the winter in unsuccessful attempts to even get an estimate for some electrical work, I contacted Brad on a Friday morning. He and his associate, Steve, came to our home that afternoon. They spent well over an hour reviewing the proposed work and presenting various options. The very next day Brad called with an estimate that we thought was reasonable for the scope of the proposed work. Two days later Brad called and scheduled the work for later the same week. They arrived on time on the appointed day, and completed all work over the next day and a half. They totally rewired our detached garage, digging a trench for the new lines, installed a new motor for an attic fan, and completed some electrical repairs in the basement. Both Bard and Steve were professional, polite, and efficient. You would never even know that a trench had been dug through the yard-they even planted new grass seed over the filled in area! The final bill was well within the range of the original estimate, and the quality of their work was outstanding!
Description of Work: Dig trench from rear of house to detached garage; install PVC line for new electric service to garage. Install new interior and exterior lights for garage, and multiple receptacles in the garage.(total rewire). Replace motor of roof mounted attic fan. Install new light in basement, and repair multiple junction boxes. Disconnect old electrical service for garage.

I had an electric heater cause an outlet to burn out (catch fire). Brad answered my call immediately, came out and gave a quote the same day. He answered a plethora of questions I had about my electrical system. He was able to fit me in the next day and installed 3 new 20amp breakers, ran wires to three rooms on the second floor of my house and installed 3 new plugs. Without asking, he provided child proof plugs after seeing my daughters room and made sure the outlets were placed close enough to the windows so that the air conditioning units could run from them. After all that, the final bill was less than half the quoted price because the joists ran in such a way as to allow the wiring to be run easily. Brad could have easily charged the full amount quoted and I would not have questioned it. The quality of his work, his attention to detail and honesty was second to none. I would highly recommend using Brad Brown Electric.

Brad scheduled a visit with me just two days from the call and was very flexible. Very pleasant, nice guy. The dimmer that had to be replaced was behind our bar and he and his colleague removed all of the bottles and put them back when they were finished. He went around the corner to Home Depot with no hesitation when I asked that we have a dimmer that matched the functional one beside it. He returned quickly and had the job done in about 15 minutes. They did a great job, were efficient and well-priced. I'd call them again for any other electrical problem we come across.

Brad and his helper came and immediately started to diagnose and troubleshoot the bad lighting circuit. It involved digging up and exposing a dozen of landscape light posts to try to track down the short or break. They ultimately found a bad section of wire and replaced it. they also repaired and restored several fixtures that had either broken at their bases or otherwise had stopped working. Brad is very professional and efficient. I liked his approach to the repair and to work in general. I plan to use him the next time I have an electrical problem.

Brad came out to the house twice to perform an estimate and was on time in each instance as well as on the start date. He completed the job exactly as specified, and even put in a regular fixture in the closet (which just had an exposed light bulb and pull string, and we hadn't talked about that - but I know I shouldn't just have a light bulb with a pull string). Brad's estimate for the work that I requested was lower than a more well-known electrial company - and using that company I wouldn't know who would actually be doing the work - I'm sure it wouldn't be the owner who came out to do the estimate. I will call Brad again for future projects.
Description of Work: Brad replaced all knob and tube wiring in one bedroom of our house. His original estimate was much lower, becuase he planned to tap into existing new wiring from an adjacent room, but I asked for a totally new dedicated circuit pulled down to the main electrical panel. Brad was happy to oblige, but also kind enough to explain why he planned to do things the way he orignally estimated.
