Description of Work: We hired Alliance for a Chimney Cleaning. They were extremely professional, courteous, and explained all our options with the issues they found. They gave us several options on action plans on what we needed to fix if we wanted to use the fireplace often, occasionally, not at all. We rehired them to fix some things to use the fireplace occasionally and will be trying it out in the near future!

Description of Work: Scheduled an estimate for 2pm and the rep called to move it to 12. No big deal but my husband and I had to come home early from our errands to meet him. He didn't arrive until 12:25pm with no call, which was not a good start. | |He made up for it by being very friendly, thorough and he answered all of our questions. He gave us a quote to replace the flashing on our chimney and completed the work within a couple of days of us giving the green light, and did it while we were not home (I saw them arrive as I left for work). He called a week or 2 later to find out when we were mailing our check, which seemed odd. I was expecting an invoice in the mail but he said to just mail the quoted amount to the address on the estimate. | |While he was talking to us, he gave us some ideas for wood inserts and quoted some prices. We weren't originally considering this option but he left some materials and now we are hoping to do this sometime next year. We will call Alliance if we move forward with it. | |Overall we were happy with them (despite a couple of small bumps) and would use them again.

Description of Work: Alliance, cleaned flue out, draped and set titanium steel liner, in the chimney, also connecting to both hot water tank and furnace. Insulated and sealed both ends and installed cap on top of the chimney.

Description of Work: Repaired the masonry on my main chimney and added a new cap. Sealed off and insulated former boiler vent which was no longer in use. The service was prompt and professional and their staff were friendly and explained procedures very clearly. They provided me with befor and after photos of the work area.

Description of Work: Installed gas fireplace insert into my wood burning fireplace. Built a firewall to close off one side. Installed tile over the firewall. Came back to make adjustments when the fireplace was a bit noisy. Chuck and his staff was straightforward and easy to work with

Description of Work: They repaired and replaced a few bricks that had fallen off my chimney due to snow and bad winter.

Description of Work: Cleaned, relined and capped one chimney. Had difficulty establishing a time for them to perform the service. They were very casual in persuing the scheduling even though the service had been paid for.
