Jon has traveled all over the US seeking knowledge from manufacturers while working with other professionals to gain experience. Passion drives us to learn, we don't know everything but we are always willing to do what it takes to improve. This experience has made JD Tile the premier tile installers in the area offering the highest level of tile installation available. "We thank this customer for the opportunity to do their backsplash! They had the normal granite backsplash 4" high, which the customer ended up removing and did a fine job. The customers chose subway tile with a bevel which was a great choice. Conestoga Tile supplied the tile, JD Tile concentrates on professional installation vs selling tile. They now have a high quality backsplash to match the rest of the kitchen. I was impressed with the work on this home, it made my job easier."
"We are not usually the lowest bid, I will agree! In most cases the aspects a customer really appreciates is showing up on time, being on the job everyday as promised, following through to get the job completed, and lastly being in the home without supervision. We can be trusted we have build a reputation and consider working in a residential home still a privilege to this day after 20 years in this field. Those traits I would expect to be common but seem to be far and few. And yes we do go back and do a touch up on the grout as needed. Most companies will never return, they won't take an hour to go off of their schedule. JD Tile does what most will not, we care about the customer and finishing the job and the customer getting what they paid for. Our prices might seem on the high side but what potential customers don't always take in the mix is our experience and skill which didn't happen overnight. We thank this customer for the work and for working with us!"
"The second tile project this year for the customer, once our team comes in to do a tile related project the customer realizes the passion JD Tile has from the initial estimate to the finish. We are the premier tile professionals in the area because we have experience, creativity, skill, and most importantly we listen to the customer's needs. The tile floor was failing, tiles were coming loose as was the grout. The cabinets were installed over the tile, flooring establishments recommended going right over the existing tile because they have no experience in this area. They would raise a floor up already higher to the adjoining hardwood. Enter JD Tile, we do what no other contractor knows how because we are tile specific and we have 20 years doing just tile. Customer wanted to use 3 sizes of tiles, proposed design was used because we listen to our customers. We take our time and we communicate, the end result was a tile floor of the highest quality available in this area!"
"We really appreciate appreciate the feedback from the customer, as he stated tile demo is labor intensive and messy. We do our best to contain it to the area we are working in but obviously dust will get beyond the room to some point. The problem here in the home was the tile was installed slab on grade when the home was built, common problem for the slab to settle and crack. This is what happened and the crack transferred through to the tile so the customer has to see this every day. We removed the existing tile, addressed the problem area with a crack isolation membrane so it will not happen again. The membrane expands and contracts as needed vs the tile cracking. We appreciate the patience from the customer side as well. The customer wanted the best grout available so we used epoxy which did leave a little residue on the tile in a few locations, we went back and got it resolved. As stated we are dedicated to making our customers happy to whatever length necessary, things happen and we work hard to resolve any issues. We value our customers and always hope to return for more tile work down the road."
"Thank you [Member Name Removed]! We have worked hard over the years to gain the confidence of homeowners like yourself who can't stay home all day while work is performed. You and your husband have careers of your own to attend to so we appreciate the trust. We have worked 20 years to establish the trust from the customer to take care of their home and clean up. Communication is critical and yes texting is the most convenient non intrusive way these days! Yes we do tile but when we see other issues we bring them up to the customer, why not do what we can while we are there working. We are now strong Jon1, Jon2, and Jon3.....lol We will hire a non Jon though eventually! We do appreciate the work and the gift to help people with their tile needs, we see a lot of contractors out there doing work that has to be torn out. We are all human and we can err but the caliber of the contractor is one who will make it right. Thanks for the references as well, we always do our best in order to get hired for more work. We are grateful for customers who are appreciative, communicative, and the willingness to come on here and do a review. Thank you!!"
"in response to null null: Members here in Angie's list are interested in reading about feedback from customers who "actually" had work performed. Your grade means very little, I made time to come out to your home and explain everything twice since I had to explain it to you as well as your sister. As a business owner I know customers get more than one estimate and over the years as I was getting established I didn't always get the job because it went to the "cheaper" guy. I didn't always get a courtesy call though I may have spent a couple hours going to their home and speaking with them. My point is not every job is a match but there is no reason to be hateful about it. No one puts all their eggs in one basket, we have had a busy year in 2017 and I will apologize to no one working many weekends to accommodate customers with very little feedback in return or a day off to myself not work related. Once your shower leaks in a couple years and you call me again to have it done right, I will remember this generous gift from you. You could have followed up and asked if I was going to estimate it or not but instead chose to try and hurt my business which I have worked hard 20 years to get established. The only people in my career who have called me unprofessional are ones who are good at being critics they know nothing of the work involved but they are good at criticizing the moment things don't go their way."
"JD Tile met with customer initially and realized the scope was more than doing tile though the tile would be a major part of the master bathroom remodel. I brought in a GC who does great work and is easy to work to oversee the project. As with any large project like this planning was a critical part. Shower, wainscoting, double vanity backsplash up to ceiling, feature splash area, and floor with NuHeat. As always we work with the customer. We look forward to replacing the kitchen tile floor later this year."
"This customer had a project very important to him and his family for a special day! Working with him was a pleasure. Many speak of contractors I will speak of this customer he went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed for the perfect environment. In the end a completed project and a memorable family event! Always an honor to be just a little part of a project, but an important one."
"Handicapped access bathroom conversion, presented quote to the VA got approval. Helping a fellow veteran and his family, a pleasure to help those who have served. Being a veteran, I understand."
"Working together with the customers here again is why we all succeeded! I do really enjoy tile but more importantly working with this customer where we communicated the whole project. Communication as he stated is the key to reaching the goal of the customer, daily communication if needed. We see the finished bathroom with everything back in place and it really is rewarding to see the customer reach their goal in this project and to be a part of it! Teamwork will always be critical in success and we had it from day one. We look forward to the next project the master bathroom!"
"Every project is a custom tile installation. Another unique shower because customers all have different needs. Pleasurable experience working with customer to get his vision into reality!"
"We really appreciate this feedback and we enjoy helping people to have a nice tile project, working with them incorporating their ideas and offering our own. Tile is what we do but more importantly we enjoy meeting people and making new friends. In some cases as with this customer a lifelong friendship, great people to work with! We were grateful to have this opportunity with them!!!! A job is a job but having fun along the way of doing this project was unexpected but welcomed! We enjoy when our customers are creative as each home and project is a new adventure."
"A pleasure working with you [Member Name Removed] on all of your projects and future ones!"
"This was a challenging installation but working with the customer everyday, we overcame any obstacle in our way and completed a custom shower which is as unique as we have ever done. The customer was thrilled, so we reached our goal!"
"Glad to be of service, cracks in the slab of the new construction were never treated with any kind of membrane. Once the crack came through the tile the next installer to fix it just put a fiberglass mesh over the crack, fiberglass mesh is for drywall or cement board seams not concrete. JD Tile used a liquid membrane over the crack which is the appropriate application. Eventually JD Tile will have to come back and do the exact same thing in the kitchen. Not treating cracks in homes with slabs will result in cracks in the tile, then the slab cracks the tile is bonded to the slab so it comes through eventually. General contractors I hate to say it but are in hurry to get done so they miss steps that later result in more cost to the homeowner after the one year warranty is up. The customer ends up paying twice for the same installation. JD Tile believes in doing it once and doing it right, unfortunately we don't work on new homes much we aren't fast enough we like to take our time installing tile to last for a lifetime."
Jon was a pleasure to work with throughout the process. He came to provide an estimate and was professional and courteous. When he came to do the actual backsplash he did great work and was very respectful of our home. It was never a mess and he was able to get the work done quickly - dedicating his days so that it would be less disruptive.
The quality of the work is fantastic, we had him do white subway tile for our kitchen backsplash. The corners are cut perfectly and around the window looks great as well. We liked his work and him so much we asked him for another estimate for our bathroom while her was at our house.
I would recommend JD tile - Jon is very good at his craft and was personally, wonderful to work with!
"Thanks [Member name removed] it was a pleasure to work with you on your project. I look forward to working with you again!"
