 + -1 moreI had a refrigerator delivered by Best Buy yesterday and they were unable to connect the water line from the old frig to the new. It needed to have a new adapter compatible with the steel hoses. I needed a plumber. I called on July 3rd at 8:00 a.m. and explained my problem and that I was having company for the 4th and really wanted this to be working. By 8:30 a.m. they had a service man here; who within one hour had replaced the line, connector and hooked everything up. I now have water and ice in the door on the new frig. for my 4th of July celebration. Thank you City Plumbing!

 + 0 moreThe work they performed was phenomenal. It happened on a Sunday in winter. I called them around 12:30p and they were here and done by 2:15p. Eric and Nick performed the work. They were professional, courteous and experienced. If you have a similar emergency, I would recommend their service and use them again myself.
Description of Work: Our house's main sewer line got backed up due to a clog between the main drain pipe and the house trap. We needed it unclogged quickly since there was water backing up in the basement.

The plumbers are polite and professional, they clean up after themselves, and they're always considerate of the house. In fact, they always make sure to wear footies before entering the house.

In a very short time he was able to diagnose the problem and provide an estimate for what the repairs would be. His estimate and the actuals were almost right down to the penny and accurate. No surprises at all. When he was done he did a thorough walk through of the work he was done and his analysis of the condition of the two units. Very positive experience and would highly recommend and use again.

Description of Work: We called for help in determining the cause of a leak from our bathroom. Donna from City Plumbing set up the appointment and advised us of the hourly cost. They had a $20.00 off coupon on their website to help defray the expense. On the scheduled day, she called to tell us they had an emergency job and would be running late. Tom called before he left to let us know he was on the way. When he arrived and checked the problem, he explained every step he was taking. In the end, we did not have a plumbing problem, but rather, water was leaking through the ceramic tiles. He suggested several solutions.

 + -1 moreMy call was answered by Donna who is friendly and did a great job of explaining the companies rate and how they charge. She also quoted prices for the toilet and did a great job of scheduling all of the work. All of the work was outstanding. Tom did an excellent job of explaining everything and clearly is an excellent plumber. In addition, I called at 4:00 p.m. to ask for service on our hot water heater that had stopped working and Tom arrived within 30 minutes! He checked things out and determined that it needed a new heating element, which he replaced. The other work was done in an extremely professional manner and he did an outstanding job. I highly recommend City Plumbers and I will definitely use their services again.
Description of Work: Tom handled three separate jobs for us. 1) Removing a powder room vanity and replacing it with one we had purchases (along with faucets, trap, and new shut-offs). In addition, he installed a new toilet that City Plumbing supplied. 2) Emergency call to repair our electric hot water heater. 3) Repairing sewer stack and drain pipe that was rotted and cracked.

 + 0 moreWhen I called City Plumbing to get someone to look at the rusted flange I never expected to get someone the very same day that I called, But when Tom called and said he would be out in fifteen or twenty minutes I was very surprised to say the least. He arrived, looked at the problem had all the parts and within an hour and a half was finished ,cleaned up and ready to go. Just could not believe it. It would have taken me the rest of the day to get this done!! VERY SATISFIED!

 + 0 moreThis was our first experience with this company. I am extremely satisfied. We explained our problem over the phone and they determined that the best option would be to run cables and, if necessary, a camera down through our drain. It took them three hours, but they were able to grind up the tree root that was causing a complete blockage of our drain. They were courteous and answered all of my questions. I am especially pleased that they knew what needed to be done by discussing the problem over the phone, therefore, we didn't have to have them come out to take a look and return at a later time to fix the problem. It was all fixed with only one visit. I was able to get an appointment within two days of calling them.
Description of Work: Ran cables underground through a downspout drain that was not functioning properly. Removed roots that had grown into drain.

Description of Work: No heat. Technician found outside air intake frosted up and showed me what to do to prevent this from happening again or what to look for on furnace panel when there is no heat. He also cleaned flamed sensors and said to check outside air intake for bees nest in the spring.

 + -1 moreI calleds at 10:00m A.M. they arrived at 1:00 P.M. and got to work quickly. My pipe was badly clogged and it took about 3 hours to unclog it. It was a messy job but they were very neat and kept the dirt and mess to a minimum. they treated my house as if it was their own.

 + -1 moreAlas! It was a Saturday, and many plumbing firms don't do weekend or emergency calls. But Angie's List provided names of companies, and City Plumbing responded almost immediately to our message of woe. The plumber came within an hour and fixed the problem. He was very professional and my husband was pleased with the work and explanations of said work. The price was very fair for an emergency call, and it also included a travel charge since he was not local. We are very pleased with the responsiveness and work from City Plumbing, and would not hesitate to use them again.
Description of Work: My husband decided to fix a leaky shower head, which he has done many times before. This time, however, things did not go well and we were not able to turn on the water to the house lest the shower leak inside the wall. City Plumbing came and fixed the problem.

 + -1 moreI very much appreciated this company and the guys that came out, along with the work they did. I appreciated being informed of the costs upfront, there was nothing added on at the end. I also really appreciated their thoroughness and preparedness. They were clean, professional, and knowledgeable. All things tough to find!! I've had some terrible experiences, which is why I came to Angie's List. My review is two fold, to let others know they're a great company to call, and to let the company itself know they are a great company to call. I'll definitely call them again.
Description of Work: The problem first started with my bath tub making a gurgling noise when I flushed the toilet. Then after awhile my sinks all started to back up, very slow draining. I called City Plumbing, using Angie's List to find them, and they were very helpful and got me scheduled quickly. They were very upfront with pricing, which I appreciated. They called the morning of the appointment to talk to me again to make sure they brought everything they needed for the job. Two gentlemen came to the house and figured out the issue was the vent on the roof, going into the stack, something was clogging it. They ran cables through it up on the roof and cleared it out. The also cleaned out the trap under the bathroom sink, and then made sure whatever was clogging the vent didn't stop somewhere else in the lines. They ran a lot of water through to flush it out and I don't think my drains have functioned that well since I bought the house. There was no mess left behind, and the cost was just what they told me it would be.
