They never called back and didn't fix the problem we now have to pay another contractor to correct the problem.

Great! Matt and his crew did an excellant job. Started when he said he would and finished on time. Matt always kept me informed on the process, introduced his workers to me on the first day and was always professional. His crew is hard working and worked from the time they arrived until they were finished. cannot wait until the next job.

He said he ordered the siding and he was to start on Mon 5-4-15. he then informed us the siding wasn't in and he was finishing another job so he didn't start till Wed. 5-6-15. He started on the roof, (he gave us a quote on the roof and we had someone come in $250.00 less), so he said he'd lower his bid to that price. While doing the roof he said he found a bad spot and added more money. A week later when finally doing the siding, that he didn't order enough of which delayed him getting done, we were told by him that a 2nd spot on the roof was bad so that was even more money, ( as if he was trying to make money back from lowering the price). When he finally got the rest of the siding in, (which he said was going to be in at a certain time and it ended up not coming in till later, he left our house to go do other jobs while in the middle of ours). His hours on Angie's list says he's open till 6PM but he left our house by 3PM or earlier. He took off a screen door and shutters and when we got new ones to replace the ones he took off he said, "I need to charge you more money. I have to look out for myself." (In the past we had a different contractor do work for us and when he took lights down and we got new ones he put them up at no charge because he viewed it as if there was no difference in putting up the new ones if he was going to originally put up the old ones, we didn't go with this guy this time cause he extremely raised his prices). MDG was money hungry! While working on the skylight inside one of the workers chipped the corner wood of a brand new mirror we had hanging in our bathroom and never said a word. (We just bought this house and the mirror was brand new). We found it and confronted the boss. We were so tired of them we wanted them out so my husband said he'd finish the inside. So the work wasn't complete and no discount for that nor did he offer to leave any paint to finish it. That mirror was $100.00 he didn't replace it and all he gave us credit for was $75.00 off the bill. At first they covered my flowers then later they tramped on them and admitted to doing it but didn't replace or refund for them. He didn't even call me by my name he called me some other name. We both lost days of work to be here while they were here.

Communication was great, estimate was quickly generated, craftsmanship was excellent. Bought our house several months before the work was performed and the insurance company wanted some minor issues fixed. I called several construction companies and went with MDG. They promptly responded to my request of an estimate, stopped by and took a look at my roof "bubbles" and gave me a price. Came back several days later and repaired the raised shingles on my roof. They fixed 2 spots, but only charged me for the repair of 1. They saw the second area with issues once they got up on the roof. It was around $100 total for the repairs. The workers explained what caused the problem and gave me their opinion on the lifespan of the roof. I believe that the owner, Matt, and an assistant were the workers who performed the work. It has been a year since the work was done and I cannot remember, but the repaired areas have held up in an excellent manner.

The roof was completed within 2 days and was done fantastically with inclusion of new gutters soffit and fascia. It took less than 2 weeks to complete the siding this was after they ran into unexpected difficulties including termite damage. The kitchen has custom cabinets and counter tops. Everything turned out wonderfully. I highly recommend this company to others.

MDG Construction has not yet started the replacement of the roof of my house, but I've been so impressed with this company already that I have decided to post a review. I have been trying to get a written quote from roofing companies for about a month now. You wouldn't think it would be hard to do, but it has been a nightmare. I have called over ten roofing companies for an estimate. The majority of the companies didn't answer the phone or respond to my voicemail. Three companies have come to my property to give me a verbal estimate, but are taking too long to provide me with a written quote. The same day that I called MDG Construction, they came to my house for an estimate and e-mailed me a written quote by the end of the day that was very detailed and listed everything they will do. Not only did they send me everything I requested in a very timely manner, they also called me after they sent me the quote to make sure everything looked accurate to me since I told them of the urgency to get my roof replaced. No other company has been able to do this for me, and like I said, I contacted approximately ten roofing companies. MDG Construction's estimate was slightly less than the rest of the verbal quotes I received. They were also able to give me a date that they can begin, while the other companies were not able to do this for me.

MDG construction not only build our dream deck but displayed a level of professionalism usually reserved for construction companies many years their senior. The team's work ethic and pride in making sure the end result is perfect should be emulated by those companies who simply want to put money in their pocket without consideration of the level of quality of work. I highly recommend this business and will be using them in the future when we have projects big or small. although for now we are going to take time to simply enjoy our new deck. I wish we would have known MDG a few years ago when we received sub quality work during a remodel and felt as if we were being taken advantage of by paying top dollar for sub par work and had to call the business owner repeatedly for huge glaring mistakes we found when we came home from work. When MDG was done with our deck and they went home, our neighbor who rarely takes the time to stop and talk made a point of coming over as my husband and I stood and admired our new deck. Our neighbor stated how good our deck looks. For 3 young men under 30, they as I said, put other construction companies in our area to shame. I know I would not have been able to have a better deck or experience than what MDG gave my husband and myself. I hope others in and around Altoona, Roaring Spring, Martinsburg, Bedford and all surrounding areas think of MDG construction when they have a construction project, big or small, around or in their home. I KNOW anyone who hires this construction company will not be disappointed and in fact will be unable to find fault with their work. I absolutely trust and recommend MDG construction. My apologies for not remembering each person who works with Matt Good but I want them all to know I appreciate all their time and attention to detail and that when they pleased me with the quality of my deck construction, for the first time, I was unable to find any fault with construction work on our home and I looked very closely. I have been described as a perfectionist and picky so for me to be this pleased is a rare event, but my appreciation and review here is deserved. Excellent work and professionally done. Both my husband and myself are extremely pleased with our new deck.
